  1. You can't tell but Polish Princess is burning to death inside one of those buildings.

Heh... am I too dense to figure out how to see the image at full size? I click on it off the DA page and it comes up at the same size it is here on the forums. 1024x659 versus 1690xwhatever.

    CoV Box

I did the same (sort of), having bought a CoV Collectors edition and later bought a CoV standard box for $6 at Big Lots. The standard box code didn't work but I gave it to a friend who was able to play blue side with it just fine.
  3. I've been in CoH. You all noticed, right?
  4. Thanks. I actually flipped sigs on for a moment to see the link but I don't know if everyone has my kind of moxie. I just thought I'd mention it so he reached the largest possible audience
  5. FYI, you might want to include a link in your post body for those of us who keep sigs turned off.
  6. I can sign on to that. Throw an AE terminal into Pocket D, maybe a tailor in the public (not VIP) portion if the devs want one easily available from lvl 1 and there ya go. I don't think many lvl 5s will suffer for not being able to join in on Borea missions.

    Bye guys

Take care man. Make sure you learn somethin' and make that not-CoH playin' worth it!

    All Defender ITF

I have a 46 TA/A I could probably bring along on Sunday. I've a 50 Rad/Rad as well but I'd rather take the TA/A just to help finish 'er off.
  9. Polish Princess (Rad/Rad Defender) - Lawful Good. She's driven to fight the 5th Column but does so within the constraints of the law rather than, I don't know... blowing up a building and justifying it by saying there was a lot of 5th Col. in there. Feels that "good" is best expressed within the framework of strong and just laws.

Tally-Ho (TA/A Defender) - Neutral Good. Fights crime and does her best to be on the side of "Good" but lacks Polish Princess's fervor in regards to the law itself. Stays within the law because it's easier than facing the consequences.

Lounge Crooner (Sonic/Mental Blaster) - Neutral to Neutral Good. His story is that he's fighting his way through Paragon City's crime world to rescue the agent who promised him a reward before she disappeared. Selfish motivation aside, there's nothing evil about him and he'd rescue a drowning kitten from a rain barrel but he lacks noble ambition in his deeds.

Bad Czech (Axe/Shield Brute) - Chaotic Evil. His motivations are entirely selfish, revolving around his lusts for wealth and pleasures. He's just as willing to cut down Arachnos agents as Longbow if they're in his way, caring nothing for the law of the Rogue Isles or Paragon City. The only difference between an armored agent with a sack of gold and a five year old with a sack of gold is that one will be quicker to hack apart.
  10. Very nice line work and I like the patterns.

Fine. Don't say I never did nothin' for ya.

PP needs some decent reference shots. The other three are golden though.

NOT to mention, that in this way, IF your toon is somehow inspirational to an artist, you might even get a freebie.
Oh sure. Now there's no way for me to add character references to my sig and NOT have it look like I'm begging for art!

  13. Full length skirts, gowns & robes. I don't care if it's a clipping/animation nightmare -- I'm paying my $10 so figure it out!
  14. Stuff I had hoped we'd see in the Natural booster:
-- Prestige versions of the slottable travel powers but with the jetpack/jumpack graphics (and something for SS)
-- More "crude" options for weapons, especially the sword ones since axe/mace are well represented (kitchen/butcher knives, hunting knives, chainsaw - animated or not, etc)
-- Quivers/sheathes and the like. I'd even settle for pre-set costume options like "Artemis pants" that have knives preattached since I can imagine a "Leg accessory" costume slot would be a clipping nightmare.

I'd be delighted to pay for a booster with that stuff.
  15. The new warrior mask from the Martial Arts booster would work for that. I'm not sure where you'll find a turban though

Some, but I'm speaking of the current system where a "wipe" is really the lock taken off your name and it being available for others to use. I don't see any point in making someone's "Moonlight Knight" into "Generic34408" if no one else is using Moonlight Knight.
  17. Wow, that Omi piece is REALLY well done. I'm likin' it.

Now I'm all tempted but I have one commission piece outstanding and a couple contest bits whenever they get generated and, like you, I'm trying to stay "clean and sober" until the new year at least. Maybe I'll get some Christmas money to get myself something nice

Well, you're welcome to that opinion. Personally, I did take several years off from the game and lost some names I had from back around launch during the name purges. I completely understand and have no ill feelings towards NCSoft nor whichever lucky folks snagged my abandoned names.
  19. Another "No Globals" vote. It seems to me that it'd be less like "I have Kid Starfire on my team" and more like "I have @JollyJellyBean on my team playing his version of Kid Starfire". Which might not matter to some but I enjoy my immersion where I can get it.

I do sometimes chuckle at the lists of character names people put out as evidence of all the great names left. "I just got Linky Whimplesmirtz last week!"

I just made a Cold/Dark defender named "Sundae Mourning" but I wasn't especially shocked to find it open
  20. Hoping to make this one but my wife has family in town that weekend so I don't know. If she decides to go see some chick flick with her sister, I'll be there in CoX. If she decides we all need an early Thanksgiving meal...

    Have fun!
  21. Wow, that looks really good. I like the blending of the colors; gives it a very "natural" effect.
  22. I wish there was at least an easy way to see which posts were rated without having to hunt for individual posts (which I think someone said is how it's done now but I still haven't figured it out). My rep has gone up and I kind of wish I knew which posts I made helped get the praise. I'm not so worried about the comments, just knowing the posts.

    Awesome. Thanks.
  24. Whoah nelly... I might have to revise my costume score to 4/10 until they fix some of those atrocious clipping issues. I made a female character using the Warrior robe option and you'd think she was being attacked by moths the way her skin would randomly poke through her costume as she moved around. It wasn't a stacked costume piece problem, just the costumes themselves don't seem fitted right on the models.
  25. Well, based on the ninja run, I picked up the booster last night. The run itself is pretty awesome and I can see some of my characters making that their default travel power. For instance, I have a character whose origin involved some super serum type thing to give him above human strength but not really of the "Jump a quarter mile" level.

The parts are... okay, I guess. Some of them look like they could be useful, others will just be more stuff to cycle past. I never got the science booster but I'd rank the Natural costume options behind the Magic & Tech options for general usability. With that said, the plain "Warrior" half helmet is great and look like it can be combined with a lot of options. I never really liked the dome & bullet half helmets that came standard.

I never use emotes or flashy costume changes so no opinions there.

I'd give it 10/10 for the ability and 6/10 for the costumes (mainly for the warrior helmet and plain pads). That's just my opinion -- obviously if you like martial arts themed character sor something, you'll like it more.
