  1. I guess it's just the lack of red that makes it look off, but that blue looks a lot more like the first palette's light blue rather than the darker blue used in the most recent one. Oh well, I'll shut up now.

    If you're playing in fullscreen mode, the way that I've found I can take shots of the character creation screen is by hitting the windows key and then clicking the start bar and then hitting printscreen and going into paint and pasting (windows key, hitting the start bar will make it so that windows is the active program instead of CoH and then printscreen's functionality returns to normal. Unfortunately, you can't get a shot of the whole screen this way since the start bar will be covering some things).
  4. Well, I decided to throw my hat into the ring for the third round after admiring the work that was done in the previous rounds... So say hello to Project Glory, a new Invuln/Mace Tanker on Infinity. The white of the face really is the second white in, but it looks bluish outside of CoH now. I went for a sort of Golden Age Futuristic look (or should that be Futuristic Retro? It really is too detailed for Golden Age, but it sort of pays respect to it) and I think he turned out pretty good. Anyway, was fun making him and I look forward to participating again in the future (although hopefully next time it will be a color palette that I can use to make a costume for one of my existing toons, my altoholism is bad enough as it is).

    Just to clarify for everyone, to my knowledge there are no new costume items added. The sets from the pull down are just the collection of all the items in that list. For example, if you want to have all the "steampunk" items (say to start and tweak your character from there) it will select all of those for you. But it doesn't mean that there are items for every slot in that set; just that it puts what available costume items there are on your character.

    Darn, and here I was hoping that they finally put the puffy pirate shirt back in for the Pirate set. Curses!!!

    But seriously, awesome. I look forward to both the numbers and the costume streamlining, although now it's probably going to take me twice as long to make each character even with the streamlining since I can never go with a full set and now I have numbers to distract me before I even get to that point... I have a feeling I'm going to be spending more time creating characters than playing them when i12 goes live.
  6. I can't come close to anything as cool as LadyJudgement's but I figured I may as well submit something since I have a toon that's a cop and had Blue Steel train her up to 50 for her last training.

    Thank you for noticing that, I saw it right away and read through all bazillion pages of general i12 chatter and so no mention of it, I thought I was going insane. Good to know I'm not alone, in seeing it and in thinking that the Lost need to be re-found.

    No. Animations and FX will not change. The redcap dagger is not available for Katana users (handle's not long enough to wield as a katana)

    Is there any hope of something like this changing in the future?

    I ask because the first toon I ever rolled was made as a Broad Sword Scrapper because I couldn't make him a Great Sword Scrapper. He's based on an NPC from a DnD game that I ran; he's a werewolverine who wields a great sword. Now with the weapon customization, it seems I would have been better off making him as a Katana Scrapper so that I could possibly eventually get a nice big sword for him to wield with both hands. As it stands now, if larger swords are introduced, he'll end up looking like a Final Fantasy character with the giant sword in one hand.

    That Mayhem/Safeguard idea you have sounds like part of my idea I had for the RCS S/TF that I (along with help) came up with a while before i10. Since the RCS became the RWZ, I'd still like to see a Mayhem/Safeguard style S/TF come into creation. It would indeed add enjoyment. (I want to be able to smash things as a Hero, dangnabbit!)

    I think you may be on to something AG; Happy Birthday btw. But yeah, I could definitely see the 5th taking advantage of the Invasion and popping up in i11 or i12.

    And as a side note, mwahahahahahahahahaha I'm fricking psychic! Look at my sig, posted that up months before the Invasion was announced. *wonder if I had anything to do with their decision making process*

  13. i just finally read through the whole thing while waiting for a GM to respond to a bugged mission... i really really like the work done by Edon and the OP... i was kinda dissapointed that no redname could be found throughout the whole thread though... i really do hope to see this implemented

Perhaps since Fly is getting new poses other travel powers could be given the option of differents poses/animations. To bad this animation probably wouldn't work well if you teleported off the ground. Perhaps Super Speed?

    damn that would rock, all my toons would have superspeed if they could turn into mercury and zoom around... i, like some others have mentioned, hope that other travel powers are getting some love coming up soon... flight is getting it's new poses, it'd be nice to see some different teleport effects... we know you can do it, khelds get a different tp effect... and ss, as mentioned, would be awesome if the mercury thing were implemented... sj, i really have no clue as to a new visual effect for it, but something, spread the love around!

    great original idea, marcian, andd great innovation on it empress... as someone who has a story for each of his 90+ toons, it'd be nice to have it reflected in game in some manner... i'd really like to see something like this implemented in game... thanks for the great ideas guys!
