Freedom Phalanx is entrusting us with some of the most serious tasks imaginable. The Shadow Shard is downright dangerous, though there are aspects to this dimensional plane that are awe inspiring. Unfortunately, exploration teams have gone missing, and we've been asked to investigate the cause of these disappearances. We'll begin by thinning out the numbers of the strange Rularuu creatures, then proceed to Point Foxtrot where the last science team sent their distress call from.
Saturday August 8th 1:00pm EST (12 noon CST) (10:00am PST)

Notes:- This is a task force challenge series, where both teams will seek a reasonably high difficulty level, depending upon the team composition.
- We do not generally speed run these adventures, though we do seek to make good time and enjoy being in the story.
- When doing a higher level challenge, the team lead needs to be in the zone before anyone enters the mission. Otherwise, the mission difficulty will default back to Heroic.
- For team composition, the suggestion is to have 1-2 tankers, and 2-3 blasters for AoE crowd control. However, we will not blindly attempt a difficulty that is beyond the team makeup. When unsure, we begin at Tenacious and gradually increase the difficulty.
- For Teams Two and Three, it is asked that there be a tanker for each team to provide good aggro management.
- The Shadow Shard task forces are the longest set of missions in the city, and we'll be doing these in a single sitting with an hour break for supper. From experience, eating supper helps to maintain a good team mood. Including supper, this task force should take seven hours (at most).

Hi everyone!
My apologies for any inconvenience. We're postponing the Quaterfield task force by ONE WEEK.
Mainly, the forums being down interfered with our team signups, so best to just start fresh. In addition, double-xp weekend is currently underway, and no doubt that people would like the flexibility of trying different adventures, rather than a potentially long Quaterfield task force.
FYI, come out at 1:00pm EST anyway. Chelle will be organizing an ITF, and I think some other taxis will be helping out as well.
Have fun all <!!>

Taxibot Badge Tour
Date: Tuesday July 28th
Start time: Approx. 9:30pm EST (8:30pm CST) (6:30pm PST)
Tour Duration: About an hour (so ends perhaps 10:30pm EST)
Team Lead: Taxibot Icy ( @MsCats )
A Badge Tour is a Taxibot team activity, where Taxibots take position by each of the Exploration Badges in a blue-side zone. Heroes are then teleported to each location in quick succession, and a complete tour requires only about 1-2 minutes.
We'll decide the zones on Tuesday when we see the taxis that are on duty. When we know the zones, I'll post again in this thread, and we'll be promoting in various zones in-game.

Doctor_A_Science: i noticed on team two we have a lot of blasters, defenders, and controllers.. is that going to be powerful enough against AV? if not I can always bring a more melee toon.. let me know

Team Two has solid empathy, bubbles and ice with lots of firepower. You'll probably come away from the experience thinking that your adversaries were too easy.
Of course, it doesn't hurt to ask your team lead on Saturday.

Freedom Phalanx is entrusting us with some of the most serious tasks imaginable. Tina Macintyre, a scientist at the Portal Corporation, has contacted us citing that one of their high security labs have ceased communication. In cases like this, a swift response is necessary to prevent incursions from parallel worlds. Be on your guard, everyone.

I think Icy wanted to lead a Badge Tour on Tuesday. I'll check.
-Johnny -
Hey Rebirth, I've swapped you onto Team One, so that Cthulhu Thom and Blackestnight can be on the same team. Please let me know of any issue. You seemed to be the most flexible person out of everyone that had signed up. Thank you.
Tom, thanks for confirming that you needed Blackestnight on the same team. I'll remember for future.
-Johnny -
That was a good night of monster hunting. Over a couple hours, we defeated the Kraken, Babbage, Eochai, Jack in Irons, Adamastor, Lusca, and Jurassik.
Thanks to Taxibot Icy for feeling inspired to lead this outing. I had fun, and people seemed to be having fun. I'm not sure whether we had people that were entirely new for giant monster hunting.
-Johnny -
Would you like Blackestnight to be on the same team as you, Tom? Or will you two be fine? I think there's a couple people that won't mind being shuffled between the teams.

Freedom Phalanx is entrusting us with some of the most serious tasks imaginable. Several of you have now earned your Task Force Commander badges, so expect that new heroes will see you as models of upright adventurers. Still, once we've finished the press interviews and so forth, we'd best look into concerns that Captain James Harlan has about some disturbing Freakshow activity.
Saturday July 18th 1:00pm EST (12 noon CST) (10:00am PST)
Meet at Captain James Harlan in Founders' Falls, who is 275 yards SE of the hospital

- Since this is a Respec Trial, the key is the rate at which we can clear mobs. For the initial door mission, we will be set at Invincible. However, if it is judged that we are "slogging" through mobs, then we will dial-down the difficulty. FYI, we've completed this on Invincible; it's all a matter of team makeup.

Spoke with Sezzi last night. Turns out the initial novelty of Shuttlebots wore off and people moved on to other stuff. However, a big factor with any group is organizing regular activities.
Send a tell to @SezziBissh if you would like to help to organize with Shuttlebot activities.
-Johnny -
Welcome to Paragon! It's good to hear that you're doing contact missions and learning your way around. FYI, you wouldn't have been instructed to visit a given zone unless you were capable of entering, so just click on the guards (as others have said here).
-Johnny -
You've seen the headlines and the *blurry* photos! The city administrators have put out a call for a Giant Monster cull to protect civilians and avenge escalating property insurance hikes. Join a Paragon Taxi Service team to combat these menaces and earn badges of recognition.
Tuesday July 21st 8:30pm EST (7:30pm CST) (5:30pm PST)
Meet in Galaxy City by the Back Alley Brawler
Team Lead is Taxibot Icy ( @MsCats )
All levels welcome, and non-taxis welcome. Be aware that some zones restrict lower-level heroes, though we'll deal with that per the situation.
Make sure you arrive early because we are leaving at the designated time. If you post your toon name in this thread, then we'll know you're coming and be able to locate you quickly.
-Johnny -
Power proliferation will likely provide more opportunity for choosing a "less focused" collection of abilities (i.e., less effective than a focused build). For example, perhaps a tougher tank-like scrapper that isn't as effective at protecting the team by taunting opponents. Or a blaster that has neglected an AoE damage in favor of an immob/hold.
Not saying necessarily a worse situation; just more opportunity for head scratching at what your teammate is doing, particularly with inexperienced players leveling through AE.
It will be interesting to see how people use the existing player guides on power set choices. There will be new guides, of course. However, we have a whack of existing guides, and power proliferation will mean that one potentially needs to consult multiple guides. I wonder if some people will try to make builds with multiple "alpha" strike abilities?
-Johnny -
Hah. I'm just a little tired. Thanks!
-Johnny -
I bought Essence of the Earth in case people needed for Hami Raid, but when I try to take a dialog states, "Your Inventory is full. This item could not be added."
I thought perhaps I had too much Special Salvage, where all my merits and what-not summed to 10,035, so I bought a whack of unlockable content through AE. However, I still can't take the EoEs.
Any thoughts?
-Johnny -
(Per the OP post)
I receive the occasional e-mail from people that are otherwise having a difficult time getting online to contact me. For example, taxis that have gone overseas for indefinite periods, or people that have been hit by economic issues, etc.
Sometimes people have questions the Taxibots themselves, so they toss me an in-game e-mail for more information.
I must say that the Spam button has been a *great* tool for eradicating unwanted messages. Easy to use, takes no time at all, as opposed to old days when it was necessary to /petition the spammers.
