We had one hero on our team that had to head out after our initial villain encounter. I hope it wasn't discouraging to encounter resistance. I think a villain team of 2-3 people were collecting samples as well.
Generally working together as a team, we proceeded with getting our samples, and encountering villains didn't really slow us down.

Freedom Phalanx is entrusting us with some of the most serious tasks imaginable. With word of our exploits, we have drawn the attention of dire forces that sometimes seek to strike at us through our friends. Word is that our good friends Katie and her sisters are being driven to extreme measures. It might be necessary for us to make a show of force, and then investigate the troubles underlying the Cabal.
Saturday June 13th 1:00pm EST (12 noon CST) (10:00am PST)
Meet at Katie Hannon in Croatoa (Due North of the Green Line, beneath the tree of pixies)
The range requirement is 30-34, with those above exemplared down to 34 automatically
Team One (Invincible):
1. Johnny Taxibot (team lead) - lvl 50 Elec/Energy blaster
2. NightWarrior >> Raka Strongbow (lvl 32 Dark/Elec defender)
3. Eagle_Star >> Eagle Star (lvl 50 Kin/Elec defender)
4. hilker >> Brother Glacier (lvl 39 Cold/Ice defender)
5. Ullikummis >> Deus Ex-Machina (lvl 32 EB/EMP defender)
6. starphoenix >> Infinite Reason (lvl 50 Warshade)
7. Taxikitten Midori - lvl 50 Grav/Emp controller
8. Mareal >> Al Dedillo (lvl 34 cold/ice defender
Team Two (Invincible):
1. Taxi Dermy (team lead) - (lvl 32 warshade)
2. mscats >> (toon to be decided)
3. Ironblade - lvl 50 BS scrapper
4. Thessalia >> Corrupted Mind (lvl 32 fire/rad controller)
5. Gillian_Boardman >> Magik Hellstrom (lvl 39 blaster)
6. Scheol >> Aneris (lvl 30+ Emp/Dark Defender)
7. Aibheil - (lvl 39 Invuln/SS tanker)
8. Mystery_Inc >> (toon to be decided)
Notes:- This is a task force challenge series, where both teams will seek a reasonably high difficulty level, depending upon the team composition.
- We do not generally speed run these adventures, though we do seek to make good time and enjoy being in the story.
- When doing a higher level challenge, the team lead needs to be in the zone before anyone enters the mission. Otherwise, the mission difficulty will default back to Heroic.
- For team composition, the suggestion is to have 1-2 tankers, and 2-3 blasters for AoE crowd control. However, we will not blindly attempt a difficulty that is beyond the team makeup. When unsure, we begin at Tenacious and gradually increase the difficulty.
- For Teams Two and Three, it is asked that there be a tanker for each team to provide good aggro management.

Good idea! That gives people the option of trying out some duels. No harm in asking people on the team if they'd like to give it a try.
Let's see. It doesn't take long to acquire the Shivan temp power. Perhaps the team will be wrapping up sometime after 9:15pm EST?
-Johnny -
Well, as you play through the game, you unlock "gladiator" badges, which become available for you to choose as your minions in gladiator matches.
Take a look at List of gladiators on ParagonWiki.
-Johnny -
This looks good Isis, thank you! I wonder how many of the taxis have tried gladiator matches? I'll be sure to let them know.
-Johnny -
I think Icy is just playing, as is Slax and such.
Let us think about what we can do to add to these PvP zone activities. For Bloody Bay, it would be worthwhile for someone to organize a villain team for collecting samples.
For solo red-side people that find the firebases too difficult, then note that our teams are generally aggreable to keeping a firebase clear. If you've already collected your meteor samples, then you can just come in and get your Shivan temporary power.
Please note that we often have pets running around, so red-side people should hang back and let us know that they need help with a firebase.
-Johnny -
On rare occasions, with your camera angle behind you, then the interface might think you're trying to click on an (illegal) object that you don't notice that is slightly further behind you.
As others have said, adjust your angle and/or zoom in bit more.

Ward Off the Shivans in Bloody Bay
Tuesday June 9th 8:30pm EST (7:30pm CST) (5:30pm PST)
Meet in Skyway at the Bloody Bay chopper
Team Lead is Taxibot Icy ( @MsCats )
For anyone that wants the temporary power for summoning Shivans, Taxibot Icy is going to lead a team into Bloody Bay. If you normally have difficulty making progress in Bloody Bay, or even if you don't know what Bloody Bay is about, then please come out. We'll give you a good intro and help you learn on the fly. Seasoned heroes are welcome too. The activity should take about an hour.
The minimum level is 15, and everyone is automatically at an effective level of 25. In addition to obtaining the Summon Shivan temporary power, defeating 200 Shivans earns the Men in Black/Women in Black badge. We also collect the Bloody Bay exploration badges whilst we're there.
Make sure you arrive early because we are leaving at the designated time. If you post your toon name in this thread, then we'll know you're coming and be able to locate you quickly.
FYI, for the subsequent Tuesday night we have Atlas Past (Recluse's Victory) scheduled. I'll post a notice for that a week from now.

SwellGuy: I tried for many, many months when this forum was launched to educate my brethren (the poor) on how you can play and with minimal market use get rich and how you can use the flippers to help yourself and to be patient.
Then I got tired of the same old ignorant positions trotted out as fact. But there were more hostile posters to slap the fools around then.
I find myself less and less interested in educating since there are plenty of well written guides for those truly interested in learning.
[/ QUOTE ]
Over the past couple of years, I've appreciated your thoughts on using the market. Thank you kindly for everything that you've been doing because it's helped me, and I'm certain other people listened whilst ignoring the trollish comments.
-Johnny -
Do what the others said about getting out of Atlas and setting your teaming flags.
We have a designated weeknight for doing Taxibot-created AE stories for fun. Other times, we have no trouble recruiting for (say) regular contact missions, task forces, etc.
-Johnny -
To OP:
If you happen to be on Infinity, then please note that Taxibot Icy is leading a team into Bloody Bay this Tue Jun 9th at 8:30pm EST. I'll be posting a notice in the Infinity forums a little later.
This is part of our Tuesday-night PvP zone teaming activities. It's not specifically for fighting villains, though we *will* defend ourselves.
-Johnny -
Good to hear. By coincidence, I bumped into Rogue Taxi Bot after we had finished our AE story (Polly has a fun new arc - 145538). I've added Rogue to the roster.

Ironblade: The respec trial only requires 4 on the team to start. If you get extra people, you can always ask if anyone from teams one and two want to join them to allow a third team.
[/ QUOTE ]
True. However, I'm thinking in terms of how usually the entire team shows up in time, and they get going to prevent things from getting too confusing. So with Mystery, I'm thinking perhaps teams one and two have already headed out, and there are a few extra people that are recruiting for the third team. In this case, Mystery can probably show up by the time team three is ready to go.
I disagree with splitting up teams for the sake of including last-minute arrivals. For one, people signed up in advance with expectation that the team would be heading out at a given time. Two, a semblance of team balance is applied during the week, where people often offer to bring a toon that "fills out" the team.
Anyhoo, long story short, even if teams one and two are full in this forum thread, then please request a spot anyway. It'll let us know that you're available, and whether it's worthwhile to get a third team going.
-Johnny -
Okay, no worries. I've put you on standby, though I expect that the teams will be full by 1:00pm EST on Saturday. Still, come out to say hello. Perhaps a third team will be getting set up.
Everyone, please note that I am unable to lead this Saturday (due to family), and TaxiMorning Star has stepped up to lead Team One. She's a competent lead and has led pickup teams and task forces on many an occasion.
I wish I could be with you all because I find the teaming to be quite fun. Regardless, I know you'll do well.
Keep it tight!

Freedom Phalanx is entrusting us with some of the most serious tasks imaginable. With the Council forces scattered, and Crey's secret research impaired, perhaps things will let up for a while. In the meantime, Jane Hallaway has been following some disturbing trends concerning operations of the Sky Raider mercenaries.

Oh, that was you. I was crafting a *lot* of sets over the past couple days, and noticed that Sapphire and a number of other stuff was being pushed up. Since I had plenty to craft, I just threw in lowball bids and captured what I wanted whilst I was busy looking at other stuff.

Last night I spotted a Paladin running in King's Row, presumably towards that park in the North. He ran towards the AE building, with about a dozen Clockwork racing after him. The police drone fired, the Paladin disappeared for a moment, and then he reappeared, clutched at his chest and fell to the ground. The other Clockwork were disintegrated by the drone, one-by-one. It was a grim scene.
-Johnny -
I mention this to Team One from time-to-time. I'm pleased that people are enjoying these adventures, and this makes it quite worthwhile for me.
In addition, for those thinking of joining in, we aren't fixed at just two teams. If we have enough people, then we can arrange for someone that can lead a Team Three.
-Johnny -
FYI. Gata (Taxibot Chelle) is going to be away for a month. In the meantime, Taxi Dermy has graciously volunteered for leading Team Two.
Taxi Dermy is a comfortable team lead, so she'll be able to organize Team Two and help lead them to success in their adventures! Thank you, Dermy!

Or...the team could use more scrappers.
For one of our Unyielding Shadow Shard adventures, we had something like 4-5 scrappers, which worked quite well. I think it was John Henry keeping the Rularuu from swarming them, and then the scrappers could churn through the groups at a good rate.
Dermy, the other team is full, so I'll put you on Team One.

Yes, though the teams are topping up fast! Occasionally, someone will ask to join through a PM, though posting in these forums is fine.
Mishmaster, I'll put you on Team 2 because they appear to need more firepower.
NightWarrior, welcome aboard! This will be fun. Team One already has three defenders and a controller, so bringing Summer Serenade (a blaster) will help us deal with groups in an efficient manner. Mind you, a few weeks ago we ran with something like five defenders and the team was largely, um...invincible.
