I am about to feel like a dumb-**** when I do things like I've done now, but I have changed a little in the build, not much, just switched out the Red Fortunes for LotG's in order to get more rech. Btw, I also forgot to say that I'd like for Hasten to be perma'ed, if it's possible to it without the big losses on the overall battle scene.
And Rangle, I would like to know something about your tips... I would be willing to do what you say to rage, as long as it's still able to perma it. -

Actually Leo I htink your idea was rather interesting...
Though, you must understand fellas that I don't wanna make a supportive set, I just wanna see your thoughts of what you'd like to see in new sets. -
I must say that I am not that simple... I plan on making both hero and villain characters both sides, but I think that I'll mostly be at the grey side, you know Rogues and Vigilantes. Though, I will do this only out of concepts, so I'm not sure whether it will be Stalker or Scrapper or Controller or Mastermind, only a question on concept.

As I have had a past in alt-ism, and I can't help it but thinking that I'd like to see some new support powersets for a change! What I'm mostly thinking is something that does not bring THAT much buff, but more debuff and team buffs. BUT:: I am perfectly aware that that description fits Radiation Emission pretty much, but allow me to let you in on a secret: Rad is used A LOT these days, so I'd like to see some progression.
I would though like to say that I am not going to give any build ideas, since I have put this thread here and not in the Suggestions & Ideas Forums, as I'd like to hear about other player's thoughts about a new support, for example your own wishes for a new support set. -
First things first: I don't have a lvl 50 kheldian, the only experience I have with kheldians is a lvl 34 PB I'm playing atm., which, btw, is a very funny character
. This said, have in mind that I have only tried one of the 2 AT's, and do not even have a lvl 50 kheldian, so my advice might not be as good or useful as other's.
This said, according to your description, I'd say you should go with a WS. You say you want to primarily be Dwarf, as I can catch it, and the WS dwarf form is by far superior to the PB, in my opinion. This is because of two major reasons:
1. The WS Dwarf's PBAoE is a lot more useful than the PB's, because the PBAoE is also an AoE Build Up, which is indeed needed for the Damage output of a Dwarf.
2. The WS Dwarf gets a ST damage/heal, which is useful both as an attack and a heal. -
Lol, no worries; I know that this is the 'for fun' section. That's why I thought I should put it here. I want to see people's builds in action, I don't want to see their builds in detail.

I thought it'd be cool to see, and show off, all the brilliant, fantastic and in other ways remarkable builds of your 50's, so I thought: "Why not let all the briliant build makers show off their builds, so we can learn how to do it!".
I would be very surprised if this idea hasn't been seen before, so I am prepared to not get the biggest response, I will be glad to just receive 5, 2 or even 1, as long as someone will respond and show us all the fantastic builds that can be made with a character! -

First of all I'd like to thank you Laevateinn for all your feedback, it has helped me re-consider. And second of all, I'd like to explain one of my picks, namely Consume.
I have played with the character for some time (surprise! She's lvl 40 now :P), and through that whole time, I have got two reasons for why I have decided not to include Consume.
Many of you are saying that Burn is a useless power, as it needs close contact with the enemy; well, so does Consume technically. Truly, consume has a wider range than Burn, but it still can cause trouble, because you'll have to get into the heated spot that PBAoE certainly can be decribed as. You would likely respond with something like:" It's true that you must get into PBAoE range, but you will be willing to do so in order to get endurance"; well, I have experienced that I rarely ever have endurance difficulties! I have always been surprised by it, but I have never come into situations where I actually need to use Consume, which has made it seem unneeded.
And about the BA/HF thingy, it might have been mostly for looks, but actually it could possibly be for filling as well, as I NEVER get into melee range when in teams. -
Ok, I can see some have shown interest in the matter. Please, don't just enter the thread and look at the build; please, comment it. Say that you think it looks interesting, good, fantastic, bad, terrible, undoable, whatever; just say something about it. I would be very surprised if those of you, who have already looked, don't have anything to say about it, so please, comment it!

I understand now, thank you for your time. By the way, we agree about the importance of realizing that Kheldians are neither Scrapper or Blasters (or Blapper's for that matter), but Kheldians, a truly fascinating combination of all the other hero AT's.

Hi all!
I've been playing a little with an Archery/FM Blaster in the past. After not having played with the character for some time, I came back to her today and learnt that she was actually awesome! She is recently at lvl 37, so I thought about making a build for her. Now, I've put together a build for this character, but I wouldn't mind some constructive critique about it. I would for example be very pleased if I could get some alternatives for some of the sets I have chosen. Furthermore I'd be pleased to get some advice other than that.

I am playin with a PB atm, which I am enjoying a lot thank you. I though have a question about the balancing of the secondary powerset, Luminous Aura. While I don't understand much about powerset balancing, but I have an idea about these measurements are going to make the set more "it". Thus, my question(s): Why doesn't Restore Essence include endurance modification and debt protection? And why is it that the "human form" Peacebringer, Light Form not included, isn't given any status protection what-so-ever?

Okay, I know you're new here, and weren't around for the original incident, but the very reason that Suggestions and Ideas is in For Fun now, instead of Development, is a story of two posters. Let's call one of them.... lkamen. And the other..... NWNGirl.
NWNGirl had a habit of posting suggestions and stating how simple they would be based on the fact that she had coded a few things in Neverwinter Nights, because all game code is, apparently the same. lkamen would infuriate her (and many others who posted outlandish suggestions that had a snowball's chance in hell of making it in the game, like permanent quadruple XP) by posting simply "no". Exacerbating the problem, NWNGirl would click the "report" button on any post that disagreed with her suggestions, no matter how politely, tersely or impolitely they were worded. Eventually, it all came to a head with bannings of the worst offenders in these, including those who would over-report, by reporting non-rule-breaking threads simply because they had a different opinion on the suggestion. The Community Reps and Devs decided that the S&I forum needed to be somewhere "less serious" than the development section, and so moved it to For Fun, in the hopes that people would not take themselves as seriously, and not see every Suggestion posted as holy mana provided from on high, but rather give them the feedback they need to become good suggestions. Or even explain why a suggestion just isn't good.
And because I feel like giving your suggestion some advice:
Tested in CoV Beta, were almost completely incapable of generating fury. It *may* be capable of working now with the changes to fury between CoV Launch and now, but I wouldn't hold your breath too much.
Illusion is a *very* poor fit for Dominators due to the way they work. Since you need to be firing off attacks to charge up domination, and pets don't benefit from it, Illusion only has 3 powers that benefit from Domination (Spectral Wounds hasn't benefited from Domination since I15, when the damage buff was removed from Domination)
I think this one is the most likely out of your specific requests for proliferations.
Castle hasn't said whether his team has any proliferations in mind for I17/GR (BABs already posted, a few weeks back, that I17 will be the GR "synchro patch", much like what I6 was for CoV)
There's a reason you don't see animals in game currently. The creation of a quadrupedal skeleton in game design is far different, and oft harder, than creating a bipedal skeleton. Hence why all MM pets so far are bipedal, they can use the same base skeleton practically everything in this game already uses. Also, since I17 is GR-synchro patch, GR is bringing Demon Summoning MMs.
That was SexyJay/JLove and his talented crew of costume designers. As for the "new costume options", we've been getting new ones with most issues (I16 actually was the first issue not to come with new free costumes in a while, which took me a bit by surprise.
Do you have any specific, or even general ideas? For example, Radiation melee/armor gets tossed around every so often, as does Psionic Melee and various oversized weapon sets for melee (Halberds, Polearms, Staves). I17 will have two powersets from GR, Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning, but we don't know if those are going to require the expansion or not yet.
Old suggestion that's often bandied about. But *why* would Boomtown be a co-op zone? RWZ is co-op because you're in a war zone where the enemy is an enemy that nearly decimated the Earth's population (using the proper definition, to kill/remove 1/10th), hero and villain alike. Cimerora is co-op because you're traveling back in time to prevent Romulus Agustus from destroying the timeline that resulted in you existing in the first place, something most villains are fond enough of to team up even with the goodie-two-shoes.
Also often stated, but the problem is that bugs are not easily fixed. They have the right name, since they can be as tenacious as a cockroach (which is theorized to be able to survive a nuclear war). There are bugs that have been in the game for almost its whole lifespan because they're that hard to track down, either because they're buried in code so arcane and undocumented it consumed 2 interns and a poor secretary that glanced at it as she was making coffee, leaving them all gibbering naught but insanity, and naming various abominations as Cthulhu, or because the bug only occurs intermittently and is thus nigh impossible to isolate (see: chat buffer bug, and what it took to find it in the first place).
As I mentioned with the "new powers" listing, do you have any specific suggestions? Web slinging, tunneling, electric-wire gliding?
And are any of those ideas not already covered by powers already in the game? Tunneling is how many stone tankers RP their teleports, web slinging is more-or-less a "reverse SJ", etc.
Castle and Sunstorm have already said that Base Raids are going to stay disabled until PvP is somewhere closer to where they want it. Will this be next issue? I have no idea. Only the second intern from the code-examination disaster mentioned above has occasionally mentioned the PvP goal, amidst other potentially prophetic things said amongst his incoherent babbling.
Listed in the marketing spiel for GR, actually, so some of it may spill into I17, instead of staying in the expansion alone.
I like this, but again, any more specific suggestions? Would you like a purple set for defense or resistance? More Targeted AoE sets? (Please please PLEASE more TAoE sets. There's only 4, including the purple. There are more Snipe sets than that.) Melee sets that don't have such crappy bonuses as the existing ones? -
Do you mean like a regular PBAoE attack or do you mean something more advanced? As I can understand it, you mean RotP working as a Post-death mechanism with the same effects, right?

I agree! I hope for both here, but since we're promoting psy right now, let me give my thoughts about redside psy blast. I, like the majority assumingly, would prefer defender psy over blaster psy. Though, I imagine that when time will come, the everchanging psy blast will get one another version change, into what I hope will be a combo of blaster and defender types.

Believe me, I KNOW that there exist lots of elec/shield scrappers, I just don't wanna be one of them, at least not now. The reason I want it not to be /shield is because so many players use that combo and because I don't really consider /shield so "fast", because of the needed AAD that needs you to be in a group, surrounded by enemies, before you should use the alpha strikes (Lightning Rod and Shield Charge). My idea with this toon is to experience the rush of crushing down in an unexepcted mob with full power, totally destroying any threat around me.
And btw, I've always wondered if LR works with Critical Hit, does it? -

I have been very excited about making a Elec/ Scrapper, but have had some difficulties concerning the proper secondary.
The theme I'm considering right now is a person who, through science (precise source unaware atm) has gotten superpowers.
The idea is that he's gotta be a fast fighter, meaning that he doesn't need much downtime.
As said before I want the primary to be Electric melee, and I can help your aiding that much as to say that I want the secondary to be either SR or Regen, as I have not tried any of the sets, and because I have heard, and got the idea, that both feel like having short downtime.
So, if any of the veteran Scrappers out there have tried both regen and SR would be as kind as to give me aid in my problem, I will be very pleased -
Got a question about some power choices, since the thread is technically called build help. I have gotten more insight in the human Peacebringer, and now I can't decide which ranged AoE I should take. The choise is ofc between Proton Scatter and Luminous detonation. I think Proton Scatter looks the coolest, but Luminous detonation do have more "useful" side-effects, so to say.
1. My average observation of TAoE (Targeted AoE) is that it hits more enemies than CAoE (Cone AoE). This will talk for luminous detonation over proton scatter, both because Luminous Detonation has longer range than Proton Scatter, and because it hits more enemies, as said above.
2. Luminous Detonation has a mitigation effect, KB; Proton Scatter has none other than Def debuff.
The reasons I want Proton Scatter over Luminous Detonation is that I think Proton Scatter looks cooler and because it does more damage (although the damage isn't the reason to my wondering). -

What you will quickly find, in play, is that Human Form Peacebringers are not blasters. They're blappers.
The blasts are anemic in comparison to the melee attacks, and even the melee attacks are, overall, ho hum. They are where the strength of the human form damage is, though, so you'll find yourself dancing in and out of melee a lot, or slugging it out with whatever boss mob you're in.
That said, you'll need your heals much earlier, and the PBAOE stun is vital for mitigating damage. Photon Seekers are an excellent, crashless mini-nuke if you launch them while you're in the middle of a group.
Take Quantum Shield as soon as you can, save Thermal Shield for later.
Second, I wanted this toon to be an all-around powerhouse (if that definition is understood), meaning she should be able to manage any position; this said, I would say that I have certainly laid focus on the melee components of the build: Radiant Strike, Incandescent Strike, Solar Flare (And yes, I consider this a melee component) and Dawn Strike (I like having a panic button/play-with-muscles power), the important note was that I didn't make it total and asked for help, naturally unaware that I had no idea of the complexity of such a playstyle. Furthermore about the power choices, I am not that used to many of the power pools, if you think of Medicine for healing purposes...
Third: what do you mean by "ho hum"? If you don't remember, try looking in the quote and see if you recollect.
Fourth (possibly conclusion): Now that I have begun playing the PB, in a tri-form build, I do realize that it is actually tough to find your playstyle... She's at lvl 7/8 now, and I think I'll make her lvl 10 build all-human, so I can try the human powers with a faster approach. -

About the toon, let me remind you that I haven't created the character yet and thus have an idea of using alot of my powers rather even; thus, if I can understand you right Obsidian, then your advice to me right now will be to try playing with the PB before I build it up, right?
