I understand that Phosyb posted (or maybe it was Positron) that it is the client side graphics that determines what object you see when an object is subject to physics interaction.

Could, say for like an event, a patch be made that any object subject to physics is a big red ball?

Yes, mailboxes might look like big red balls.

Yes, the signs at some buildings would be big red balls.

Yes, the gates to ceratin park areas would be big red balls.






But what an event.

You probably would have to tie a badge to it...or you could make a time specific badge to it for the time of the patch (i.e. Reveler, Celebrant, etc.)

Has anyone tried altering the HOSTS file to reflect the different IP addresses associated with the cohupdater.coh.com?

Since the HOSTS file is looked at first, before a DNS query is done, it is always available to your system.

Since some eMail providers limit the total amount of eMail a person can send/receive/store, would it be possible to eMail links to screenshots?

A text message without an attachment takes less "bandwidth" then one with an attachment.

Badges are not THE game.

They are a nice addition, but they are not THE game.

I like having badges on my toons, because I can judge, just from looking, as to how long i have been on with my various toons.

My lvl 50 Emp does not have isolator, but he has one (and only one) of the Halloween badges.

My lvl 50 scrapper has isolator, but none of the halloween badges as he started on Thanksgiving Day after the event. But he has both versions of the Winter badges (and there is no difference in the name or view of the badge).

There is NO ONE in this enviroment that will ever get 100% of the badges, there is just no way to get them all. Grinding, Lava Pools, Arena, etc.

You want Isolator, but did not know or get it when it came out? harvest the Recluse Victory's single spawn until your fingers bleed.

I have Military Decorations that no one else will ever get.....that's life.

Yep.

Before anyone goes gonzo about the movies, there are a couple things to point out:

1. I am not a cinematographer.
2. The "containment" of the animals at Cat Tales are the best they can afford, and placed as best as they can to give the animals the most space.
3. Cat Tales is less than 1 acre in size...half of which is for the "containment" of the animals.
4. Cimarron is a claws scrapper that got taken by a spines scrapper...so she is still a little skittish.
5. The blonde haired woman in the video is one of the Zoological Studies students that is her fourth quarter of studies and I totally missed getting her name.
6. The only people that can get close to the animals (and they have bears and bear cubs there also) are the student handlers, the rest of us are kept back 9 to 10 feet. Which is why the photos I have are crappy, and the video jiggles.

I'm in Boise, Idaho, this weekend (for another little thing) and expect to hit Mead on Tuesday for pictures/video/cuddles.

On a side note, a friend sent me an Arachnos Cape as a gift, so I was thinking....

1. Will CoH get beacons for 'normal' zones, i.e. Atlas Park, Skyway City, etc. as the zones in CoV can be covered by teleporters/beacons?

I'm not asking for a beacon in 'The Hive' with it's two exploration badges, but some of the zones in CoH have more exploration badges than CoV zones.

2. Is the prestige income and costs of items ever going to change? Either up or down?

The base my villian is an architect for, admittidly we are more active in CoV currently, is a lot more complex that our hero base. But our heroes are working just as hard as they can, but they were so much higher than the villians and the prestige income was not equivilent.

Okay, call me a kill-joy, but I had to look for this.

This is what I found:

1. There are no named coffee shops in Steel, as there are in CoV.
2. The NPCs in CoH, aside from Pocket D, don't stand still unless they are getting mugged or having their purses stolen.
3. The place for CuppaJo is in Atlas Park City Hall. Give her a desk off to the left (as you come into City Hall, opposite from the stairs to the contacts) as that is basically wasted space and needs a good and useful purpose.
4. "Huge Female"? I think if you look it up via google, you will find that CuppaJo's height of 5'4" is also Check Norris'.

Okay, the taxes are done and I am getting Uncle Sam to pay off some of my credit cards.

Since I want to be in the area (Mead, Washington) for something that is happening nearby (Boise, Idaho), I am going to be taking enough time off from my job to swing by our 'little kitty' and say hello.

For those of you wondering (Mead, Washington) and (Boise, Idaho) may not sound that close, but as I have been out in that area before.....it is close. When there is so much nothing inbetween, they are close.

Otherwise, why would Wonder Bread be a dietary additive?

A lot of people have come up with various 'off-line' methods of tracking badges: i.e. Excel, MySQL, www.cityinfoterminal, www.vidiotmaps.com. Is there ever (feasibly) a way of linking current toon information to a website?

IIRC there was an option in the user settings to 'disable' web information.

I didn't run into Ballista on my Stalker in beta, but I did run into him with my Brute the other day.

Toggle dropping was an.....interesting effect.

As I don't PvP, I have heard about toggle dropping, but never really saw it on any of my toons.

The interesting thing, was that I hit the 'goto hospital', and rezzed on spot. Maybe I should have read the mission description a little closer, or I might have missed it in the description.

2nd time rez on spot was a little more confusing.

3rd time I waited for him to move away, so I could fire up my toggles. Nope, rezzed, and dropped.


Still, for someone that does not PvP and has no interest in it, I thought it was well placed in this situation.

Think of it this way, even families sometimes support a person that others consider bad. You're family, you protect each other.
