  1. Don't know how many folks are left in the channel but I can post it on Hami Bound. Just say when and I'll set it up.
  2. I share with SG mates. We have a huge library of build dating back about 5 years. I'll do builds for friends when they ask. I almost never post a build here. Most Min/Maxed toons are so far above what average players use they don't even understand them. Its like coaching a new player every time they join the SG about Building. They resist, finally cave and then crap when they finally play what we helped them build. Typically their performance triples what they were playing. The hardest part is getting people to understand the concept of pocket 50's and specialist toons. A farmer isn't a speed runner isn't a hami raider. Then again I don't think most people care about having a 50 for every occasion.

    AoE lawnmowers

SS/Fire/Mu Brute. and for th guy who asked why Freezing rain over tarpatch, if your taking more than 15 sec to mow through a group your aren't doing it right.

For everyone saying anything else. Darks heal is to slow, Rage makes buildup look childish, scrappers don't have fury, tanks do less damage than scrappers, and squishiees get squished to much. When it comes to pure killing speed. The brute has 1. Fury, 2. Rage 3. Fiery Embrace 4. Healing Flames. 5. Burn.

You run almost as much damage as a ss/shield 90% of the time but your AOE's are up 3 times as fast. A lot of builds can kill blindingly fast but they may be limited to minions and or LT. Brute kills them all, including the bosses and has the HP and Res to stand in and take it while the AOE's do their thing.

For Duo farming, twin fire kins, For teams, Fire/Rad + Fire/Kin and whetever you want cause everything is gonna die fast.

  5. Echoing Beef on the load and in game lag issues. While running an ITF, after the patch, load times on Pinn were terrible. FPS and Tray lag was so bad that people reported total lockup for 30-45 seconds, 3rd mission, even when we avoided the traditional lag points. My personal experience was watching the computer go from half life to dead in one long lag jump. While killing Romy and the 300 it was so bad that you had to stop your attack chain and wait for each to fire off, 1 at a time, every 10-15 seconds.

It's noticeably worse on TF's than AE instances. The ITF almost unplayable & Sister Psyche and Posi P1 also had tray lag and load time issues during off peak times, like 2pm or 4am eastern. The Itf was at peak play time though. If its not a server issue isolated to Pinn, I can only image the loadtimes some of the higher pop servers may experience.
  6. There are also several SG's and individuals who enjoy hunting pvp farmers as a form of sport. They will TP the Targets and the Killers all over a zone for entertainment. I know one who bragged of getting someone all the Zone exploration badges before killing him. Others will put people on the rocket tower, or on new buildings. Anything to confuse the farmer when they return.

Plus its a real easy way to earn rep for yourself.

I say whatever. its a PVP zone. you don't like it, go somewhere else or hide better. Oh and most of the experienced hunters know the hiding places. Your easier to find than you think because the kill is announced in a small radius around you and thats 1 way they find you

I'm not sure it's being condoned so much as it is they don't have a way to stop it that wouldn't bring negative consequences. However, I'd hope that our devs are smart enough to realize that if you have people AFK farming for something, the bar may be set too high.
I think you give our devs way to much credit
  8. Nah, I just like to argue and I am disappointed in the Devs. I just expect better.

Demonstrating a consistent inability to meet a deadline is not SOP in any industry. Replacing poor performers is. Just look at NCSoft's history of killing games that just don't put up the numbers.

Yeah I think basically calling a huge % of your player base a bunch of cheaters because you didn't like what they did to your new shiny toy to be morally offensive. I know I get offended when someone calls me a cheat at any game I am playing within its rules.

And somebody at NCSoft sure thought that he deserved a demotion. But that may just be because of the number of people who quit after reading his little note to the players. I wonder how much money he personally cost them that fiscal year?

You mean like the amount of content included in the last paid expansion? Like City of Villians, which was, well, almost a entire new game. Yeah I really do expect that much content for what I just paid for. But it looks like I am going to be getting jack squat because I won't even be able to see the new zones without switching servers. And I think that all the villian AT's were just a little more work than 4 new power sets. I reiterate again that this Dev team just isn't getting the job done anymore. For whatever reason they just work to slow. Its time for new blood or a new system that is easier to create with.

(How often do you EVER see me happy on these boards?)
The point isn't that it wasn't right. The Point is that they committed to GETTING IT RIGHT by now and failed.

That this is a repetitive theme for this dev team. They just aren't good enough at creating real the lvl 50 content in a timely manner. It only been 6 years. Maybe its time to clean house?
  14. I've just gotta express my frustration with yet another failure by the dev team to bring something to fruition on time and in a manner that works with the game. First was PVP and then Posi's AE fiasco. This looks to be strike three for him. This time instead of ruining pvp or morally offending his entire playerbase is a failure to meet an already extended deadline for some kind of real level 50 content.

War Witch or someone at NCSoft needs to see the writing on the wall that this kind of carrot and stick routine is costing them customers. I've spoken with numerous people already about the removal of the incarnate system and the feedback I am getting is not nearly as polite as whats posted here.

If the devs really think this game needs more lvl 1-20 content and that a new expansion is going to bring is a massive wave of new players they are very mistaken. This is an old game that is hanging by a string. The player population is steadily declining and the Old Guard is just getting more and more frustrated with constant promises, nerfs and total bait and switch tactics the devs are being forced to use because the can't do their own quality control and don't listen to their players screaming for true level 50 content.

The markets are now effectively merged, not because they wanted to but because they couldn't make side switching work without a unified currency. The great new "expansion" is a bunch of zones existing toons can't participate in or benefit from. Sounds like a regular issue with an expensive booster pack for some new costumes tossed in. I really hope there is something in GR that will redeem the Devs for yet another empty promise but I am not crossing my fingers.

As for the promises of beta invites for vets and pre-purchase players I think its clear that they really don't want our input or feedback and would rather be patted on the back by their fanboys than receive any kind of harsh or opposing opinions to their own.

So like so many of my friends in this game I will be here until TOR or something else comes along. I've enjoyed my time here but at this point my frustration level has reached its peak. It will be sad to watch the game fold, and it will, but they've brought this situation on themselves and I just hope they can dig their way out. Its a very deep hole though.

  16. Y'all expect so much.

Castle just learned how defense worked when he looked at Blessing of the Zephyr for the first time. He was only the powers guys for what, 2 years before that. You can't expect him to understand something as complex as pvp and real endgame content. Oh wait, never mind Positron is handling the end game. Now he can completely finish off what he started with the MA system. Maybe the will let Jay work on PVP next. Then it would be fabulous.
  17. So does he wanna play a blaster or tank?

Because the packs are all "themed" when I see players using these powers it comes across rather jarringly as "that's a person that bought the booster pack because this power was useful" than "that's a really great costume." Since the origin of the booster packs was more about flare and costume than powerful abilities I think is unfortunate. I think that if we're going to continue to get powers from Booster Packs that aesthetically I'd rather have more "generic" looking abilities so we don't all end up playing mutant ninja magicians.
Well Tex. Its pretty clear that you play the game for the RP factor and to play with dolls in the costume creator. Thats great, more power to you. Many others chose to play the game for other reasons.

Some want to feel like a super hero instead of just looking like one. Others love the idea of number crunching and how they can maximize their potential regardless of any theme at all. Still others just play for the fun of playing and socializing with other players.

The booster packs try and give everyone a little something to enjoy regardless of how or why they play. So far they have been fun and I look forward to more of them in the future. They are the kind of microtransaction I don't mind. Totally optional but worth the price.

Now if they would just give us glows patterns on the other kinds of armor I might just be in heaven.

I'm really glad we managed to get this done before the fix, hehe.
Very nice! What was your team makeup.

I see the Kire/Kin and the Ill/Emp buffs, And your mind Dom but what was the 4th Dom?
  20. You need
8 tanks and 3 emps for theNucleus Aggro team. 1 tank on hami and 1 back with 2 emps on the hami tank. Tank 2 does not taunt unless tank one asks for help. Tank 2 then takes over. 6 other tanks agro the yellow mito's. 1 mito each. the 3rd emp keeps them CMed.

6 scrappers and 2 emp/sonic/storm for the Yellow Spike Teams. the buffers stack CM on rthe scrapperwhile they fly (get a raptor pack) around and spike the yellows. This can be one moving unit or two teams of 3 scrappers and a buffer each moving in opposite directions around hami.

You need a ranged team of blasters and defenders group targeting the blues through a single caller.

A hold team for the greens is also helpful and can call targets for the ranged team ones blues are down.

To survive in the goo stack as many RA's as you can on the melee teams. Squishies form a heal/buff umbrella on the opposite side of hami from the agro team. Warn the agro team before you rotate around to them so they can move out of you way.

    Group Hug at 60 second
single target buffs on everyone esp the melee from 60-30 sec marks
30 second mark cast RA's and AM
    20 Agro team goes in
    10 scrapper teams go in
0- everyone else into the goo.

Yellow Dawn every 25% each team send a porter out of LOS to haul back the dead. Laugh at noobs who didn't listen and died in the goo and try and rez with a wakie.

Get your main team leads on vent with the raid leader and keep trying till you get it right.

Option 2. get 2 teams of fire/rads and 2 fire/mps and just go kill him. PS: Group fly & TP help.
  21. I can do it starting on the 14th. I can bring, Tank, Cold, Rad, Kin or Damage(scrapper or blaster). Prefer damage.

I may be able to run this monday but I won't know until that afternoon.

    *Retard:
    • retard - cause to move more slowly or operate at a slower rate; "This drug will retard your heart rate"
    • retard - be delayed
    • retard - check: slow the growth or development of; "The brain damage will retard the child's language development"
    • retard - decelerate: lose velocity; move more slowly; "The car decelerated"
The "epic" badges certainly fit the term "retarded" as they slow and delay growth of a character.
Well, your the one that took the time to earn them the first time. If you earned them without exploiting a farm you would have worked harder. Instead you worked smarter. See how that works?

I agree the epic badges are insane so I just don't bother trying to earn them. I don't care enough to bother.

The badge system is just a time sink anyway. It keeps you playing and keeps you paying. So if you don't enjoy it, don't do it. You don't have to come into every badge thread and continue to bash every badge created because it isn't just handed to you. Maybe those badges weren't conceived with players like you in mind.
  23. The last 3 badges are harder to get for a reason. Quit complaining about it. The devs aren't going to change a badge where you just sit in a lava pool or the like because you don't wanna work harder or smarter.

    Good luck on your badging
  24. Congrats, welcome to the club after they fix it you can now talk about how you did it when it was "broken"
  25. I agree that it is the critical holds that makes the difference. Its what we figured it was after the second run because our troller was also our emp and didn't get in enough holds. I think Chaos and his team prove that it doesn't take a custom built team to complete the greens, just a balanced one and the balance for this tf is now a two troller or two dom with a 3rd single target hold from somewhere. I don't think thats to much to expect or put together for a Master level run. It just shows competency and planning are required element and that brute forcing it won't aways work.
Its a shame to because this is one of the few real challenges in the game right now and we are loosing it so people can feel warm and fuzzy.
