You know what's sad? Before reading your post I thought he was talking about /EA.
  2. Great info here, folks.

Thanks! He was pretty much 'meh' until 16, when I picked up Rise to the Challenge. Then he was merely 'enteraining' because I was still burning through my endurance bar every 2-3 fights, even with 2-3 end reducers in all attacks. Just hit 20 tonight, picked up Quick Recovery, and watch out. My new favorite character now that he can keep up with himself.

I'm currently using Bash, Jawbreaker, Clobber, and Whirling Mace as my attacks, with brawls mixed in, and it gives me a steady attack chain without breaking the endurance too much before the level 22 IOs. Going to be swapping Bash out with Pulverize at some point once I pick up Shatter and Crowd Control, but I'm loving this character. I tore through 20-21 in record speed, bumped my mission difficulty up to level 5 and I'm still not having much trouble.

Looks like good times ahead. Looked at a few builds that were posted here and they were definitely helpful, as I now know what's skippable and what I need to slot..

Again, thanks for the input ya'll.
  3. Thanks for all the quick info, everyone.

I went with War Mace, because, as Failsight said, it's just FUN bashing people in the face with a giant hammer. Only got a few levels under my beat, but so far so good --
  4. Thanks for the quick reply.

I just kind of threw the epic powers on their as an afterthought.. figured, he already has 1 Mace, might as well add another

The Stamina/QR thing I might have to play by ear, as I'm not sure if I've seen a WM/WP Brute yet on Virtue, but I haven't really been looking. I keep looking for someone to ask, but coming up short. If I gotta respec, I gotta respec. I have a free 2 upon starting a character anyways.
  5. Hey, all. Just looking for a few opinions here, and hopefully someone can also throw me some build advice.

Just came back from about a 2-year hiatus and want to take a Willpower Brute out for a whirl. Both sets look very fun to me, but I'm currently leaning towards WM as I hear better things about it. But just curious if someone can toss me just a quick power-selection build that I could work off of. I'm having trouble managing which powers I should pick up, which ones are worth skipping, etc..

Here's what I'm looking at build-wise.. I'm not sure if Stamina is necessary or not in conjunction with Quick Recovery, but hey, that's why I'm posting

  6. Bam. Sig, sucka'z! Trent hit the big five-oh after 2 years in the making.
  7. I'm going against the general concensus here, but I kind of liked the fact that I wasn't able to go through every contact I had available to me. In each zone, my main toon did certain contacts, and right from there, went onto the referred contact (in this case, Mr. Bocor/Radio). Since I missed out on the other two contacts, I feel as though I actually have a different way of taking my next character. I'll pick as many different contacts as possible. It'll keep things interesting, and though it might take longer than usual, I'll still be able to see most of the content at my own pace.
  8. I've got me my Stone/Stone. He's workin' his way up there, at 14 by now.. but I'm not looking back.

When I decide to play something a bit different, I'll go to my Fire/Fire Brute. I played that build a lot in beta, including the PvP events. I was kind of disappointed with his performance against the heroes, but in PvE, I really don't know if anything could do much better. It was great and very, very, fiery.
