Quote:Really? OMFGosh!Newsflash: "Europe" is actually made up of many different countries, all of which have their own varying and different laws regarding the giving away of prizes. Some of these laws are far more restrictive than others.
You might have a point if City of Heroes had never run competitions in Europe. -
Also (while I am complaining) I want the 5 minutes of my life back for having to google flowbee

Quote:Except its not even an American company and has offices in Korea, Japan and England. If its capable of running competitions in America in can run them in Europe. To let non NAers enter would mean looking up every country and regions specific contest rules then following them to the letter. It is far easier to just restrict to easy to comply to rules i.e. NA only.
Sorry you get left out.
EDIT: just checked out the contest itself. Grand Prize= FLOWN to Paragon Studios HQ. Of course they're not going to do international flights that's just absurd.
They should also avoid any competition that requires you be a member of BookFace. -

Quote:I suspect its prevented by the trade limitations on the account.Yeah. I can kind-of see why they added the communication restrictions, but this one just baffles me... We could drop Inspirations on trial account users with no problem, but it's not allowed with freebies? 'Not a Good Thing in my opinion, and I said as much several times in Beta..
Agree it should be allowed though. -
Quote:Agreed. In order for a 'free' player to survive in this game a little longer, they should at least have the ability to whisper to their friends/associates whenever they want to and join in with a big, happy, family; rather than be stuck in the cold, alone in the deep dark corners of loneliness. Even most MMOs do this kind of stuff as well so that the free player doesn't feel like a prisoner to the system!!
Its not that bad of a change in terms of social restrictions, right?
Freems should be able to reply to tells.
Freems should be able to chat to people that have accepted them as friends. But isn't that available via the friends channel? -
Freems need the ability to reply to tells.
Players that send tells need to be informed if someone cannot reply.
That is all. -
Quote:Given that its hard to play this game without falling over farms and farm requests I can only assume that if you can't find anyone to PL you its because all the farmers are avoiding you.<-- Extremely PO'd player. Where have they all gone? And before you all go "LOLGOPLAYTHEGAMENOOB" I pay my money for VIP, I choose HOW I want to play. My question is why is there a lack of farming? Maybe it's because there is now 501234123314 AP's? Why was that done again? Really?

Ignoring the consequences of the Time War for a moment it exists outside of space and time. Thats why it was always suppose to be impregnable.

Quick question: Can you do Praetor Tilman's Arc and support the resistance? It didn't give any warning at the start, I was expecting to get the usual options of contacting Scott or someone.

Quote:In the episode in question you get the perspective. It is much larger. The problem with that picture is Gallifrey is closer to us and we have no point of reference so it could actually be smaller but closer...but I'm pretty sure its' not.
Quote:Forgetting the impossibility of life starting billions of years before it did on earth for the most part if Time Lords are in the present doesn't that mean that the stasis lock at some point is removed?
Also the universe is currently believed to be around 13.7 billion years old with the first stars forming at around 1 billion. (Just watched Horizon) Our solar system is only 4.5 billion years old, so plenty of time for star spanning civilisations to rise and fall.

Quote:Can say the same thing in the other direction.Up your difficulty. Easier enemies are more inclusive to all types of players. If you want hard, you have the means.
As Praetoria is "extra" content I see no reason why it shouldn't be a little tougher. They should make it part of the advertising campaign. -

Gallifrey's civilisation pre-dates Earth's quite significantly. To quote from the first episode:
The Doctor : "For your science, school-master. Not for ours. I tell you, before your ancestors had turned the first wheel, the people of my world had reduced movement through the farthest reaches of space to a game for children." -
Quote:When it suits him.Horrible missconception.
Jobs was always a big proponent of consumer rights.
Quote:I don't think this is the thread to discuss these things, but I would like at least to make sure the man is seen in perspective and try to dismiss the myth of him being against consumer rights. I can think of fewer people in positions of power that are truthfully as pro-consumer rights as he was. -

Quote:Seems like a perfectly reasonable request to me.So you are irritated with the store because you can't remember what you've bought.
@Giant2005: I think the Devs have recognised this is an issue and have "plans". Might have been in one of the UStream thingies. -

That was exactly why I didn't get on with the powerset. I felt like it was telling me how to play. Now I am not going to pretend there is a great deal of thought required for playing this game beyond "click the most powerful attack you have ready" but I felt DB reduced that even further.
