Although I'm only level 33, I tend to look at willpower as something that excels at everything, but masters none.
You can easily attain respectable levels of defense, regen, and resistance with this set. Some see this is a downside, but I see it as a cool concept. -
I'm at work and can't give exact numbers, but a few things to keep in mind when relating the power levels of smite and siphon life:
1. Siphon Life provides a heal (duh)
2. Siphon Life is all negative energy damage! Since it is much less resisted than smashing, this puts it a little closer to shadow punch's dps, I would assume.
Since it hadn't been mentioned, I thought it would be of use to a few people browsing the forums -
Thanks for the replies. I didn't realize there was no buff effect for it...that seems a bit odd to me!
I appreciate the help. -
Hello, everyone.
I recently re-subscribed and started playing a Claws/Willpower scrapper.
I happened to come upon a recipe for Decimation: Chance for Buildup. This is only slottable in ranged attacks, so I tossed it into focus to try it out. I've played for a good 3 hours or so with it, and it has never procced. The enhancement is roughly level 25-28 if I remember correctly.
Does anyone have any idea why this hasn't been proccing (not even once)?
Thanks! -
Mashuguna, a couple questions to ask yourself about the question you posed is this:
Do you feel inadequate in larger teams? Does it feel like you aren't doing enough for the team by taking out the tougher targets?
My personal take on it, although I don't have any characters quite that high, is that you are filling a completely different role. Unless you are just doing Mission Architect farm maps where huge spawns of the same HP enemies are around, there needs to be one or more people on "tough target duty".
Blasters as well as other AOE type classes can decimate the minions and lieutenants, but the bosses remain alive due to their larger HP pools. At the same time, most blasters don't want to be taking hits from bosses, so you are providing a great service by A. Killing the bosses and B. Keeping their focus off of the squishies!
If you love your class, and you feel like you are contributing to a team, nothing should stop you from enjoying the game!
If you find that you love the massive amounts of orange numbers more, make a class with loads of AOE! -
Actually, I had tried that already, and it did not help!
It is odd; I played CoH a long time ago, and all of my old characters do not have problems with this, but my new ones do!
When I get home from work, I'll try copying every single setting from one of my old characters and updating my new one with it! -
Can anyone help with a little problem I'm having?
First of all, I reset the the alt+# buttons to ctrl+# as that is what I like to use more.
So, I changed the right alt to toggle open the second tray slot.
Now, every single time I zone, my bar disappears, and I have to reopen it. I know it isn't a gamebreaking problem, but it is very annoying!
Anyone know how to help? -
I'm partial to Claws/Willpower, personally. I'm pretty dang new to the game (Had a trial a long while back, so that is why my forum name is old).
I tried Claws/Regen, but it has taken me a while to learn that some of my click heals are not "Oh S***" buttons and should be used regularly! I'm used to other MMOs still, and find that the toggles on Willpower are quite simple for beginners!
I don't know if you're new or not, but you should definitely give XXXX/Willpower a try.
