  1. I have a feealing it would put too much stress on the servers and be very laggy, which is sad because it would add alot to the game. It just seems like it should always be raining in most of the CoV cities. The fog effect in Dark Astoria is really neat, I wish the viilains had access to that zone. The only time we get to see ice or snow is the baby new year event once a year, which is a shame. We really need a snowy zone all year round....and having actual snow falling would make it ten times cooler.

Wonder why this MMO was made differently. Why is it that other MMOs can have weather effects, but this one would become even more lagtastic?
  2. This game is not set up like WoW. They are totally different formats. This game will continue to add ways to tweak and expand on your lvl 50s, and add more content more level 50s....but the level cap will never be raised. I say this with confidence not just because the Devs have said "never", but because it would make no sense to do in this game.
  3. The damage badge for the accolade is the only one I think needs drastic change. It should be a reasonable amount of damage that you can actually get from playing the game in a normal way, rather than leaving your character logged in overnight while taking damage....for many, many nights.
  4. Well since every double XP weekend seems to be a complete lagfest and has server crashes, what makes the last one different? I don't mean to sound ungrateful. It's great to see the Devs show us some love, but what exactly will be different after issue 16 that will make the double XP experience better?
  5. Any word on wether pool powers will be customizable? If I can make my electric armor black, but still have to have red lightning from the Mu Patron...color me mucho disappointed.

    Fix the AE

That isn't the issue. I have plenty of enemies with Willpower and Invulerability as secondaries, and they still only use one attack.

I have my difficluty set on the hardest and the enemies in this particular mission arc lvl 52 bosses and two AVs. One of the bosses is Katana/Martial arts, but they will only use Katana or Martial arts...they never mix it up and use both. One of the AVs in Dual Blades with all the attacks, but most the time he just uses power slice over and over.

Even if set one easy, shouldn't a lvl 53 have access to all the attacks you have chosen for them?

    Fix the AE

This likely isn't what you think. I'm not talking about AE farming.

Every few weeks I go back to the AE to try and finish my grand mission arc that has been floating around in my head for years. However, everytime I am disgusted when I go to test my arc and find that my custom enemies use only one or two attacks. I then log out disappointed.

Fixing the AI in AE missions needs to be pushed up to the top of the list IMO. Is it any wonder the AE is 99% farms? Why would anyone take the time to make a well thought out story arc with great plots and original enemies if the borked AI makes them completely lame to play?

    Fix the AI plz.

    Claws 4 Brutes

I get where your coming from about WP being over used, but I don't care I'm going Claws/Wp without a doubt. However, with the change to electric, I might role a claws/Eclectric as well to see how I like it. I'm a sucker for the built in 20% recharge boost....and black elctric armor might look pretty cool.

Also, now that Invuln won't make you look like a purplish black smear anymore, I might look into Claws/Invuln...but most likely will save Invuln for when Brutes get Martial Arts.
  10. Can't belive there was another JDouble! Oh well, I'm just JDub now. At least I don't have a big _NA after my name anymore....felt so non applicable!

    Advice....

Well, I cashed in my 200 merits. Decided to go for 40-45 and got 2 Mircales Recovery, but thats about it out of 10 rolls. I needed them both though and they are currently about 250-300 mil redside...so I'm happy.

    Advice....

Hmmm... what IOs are in the 30-39 range that sell for alot?
  13. JDub

    Advice....

Just curious what the pros say. I run an ITF, LGSF, and 3rd respec just about every night for the sole purpose of using my merits for random recipe rolls to sell. Which is better for getting the "good" expensive recipes? 40-45 range or 45-50?

    Thanks.

    Day Job bug?

That blows. So basicly the badge and accolade bonuses are completely useless to characters you play consistantly. I knew there was a reason I didn't bother getting these badges till now.

To bad you can't selct a "main" character that would get the bonuses in half the time or something. I can see how they are mildy useful to people with lots and lots of alts, but for a guy like me that has 2-3 characters that I play just about every day...it seems like a pretty useless addition to the game.

    Day Job bug?

Are the DayJob badges/powers just buggy overall? I finally got the Predator dayjob badge, then logged out over night in a PvP zone to charge it. I checked it this morning after charging overnight for about 12 hours, and it the icon showed up and gave me the 10% recharge bonus for about 3 minutes.....then nothing.

Does 12 hours charge = 3 minutes? Tell me this is buggy behavior.
  16. It is mildly annoying. I'd recomend slotting damage procs that do fire/psy/energy damage. It helps alot, especially when your fighting enemies with carzy lethal resistance.

    Claws 4 Brutes

In the past I've been a big hater of KB in Shockwave, but to be honest, I kinda like it now. I've gotten use to it and it's nice to be able to pack entire mobs into a corner or knock a boss off the edge of a building if your getting overwhelmed. It can be really fun and usefull sometimes.

That said, it is still annoying alot of the time and I'd be fine with it being changed to KD instead. I'll be happy either way. The ideal choice would be to have an option of making it do KB or KD so each player could further customize their character to do excatly what they want.
  18. I've been tinkering for about a year and a half now and I think this is the best possible build for DB/WP. The only thing I might change is taking the slots out of Kick so I can slot a PvP IO for the 3% defense to all bonus. Other than that, this build is solid. Enjoy.

  20. Well I'm a carpenter and all my friends and family are always telling me to start my own business.....so I'm hoping my unemployemnt is the motivation I needed to get out there and do it for myself. Could be a blessing in disguise.
  21. Reasons why I should NOT be invited to closed beta.

    1. I don't want in. It totally ruins the excitement of a new issue going live when you've been playing it for a month.

    2. Because of #1 I would spend about 2 hours taking a Claws/WP Brute to lvl 10, check out the animations for MA and SS on existing characters and then quit and never test anything.

    3. I'm unemployed and need to stay focused. Beta would only be a distraction.

So there you go. Now I'm sure to get a closed beta invite soon.

  22. Every PvP Scrapper will be changing out that laser eye beam blast for whatever ranged attack they can get in the new fire patron.

Lots of good stuff in this issue. Can't wait to get my hands on it!
  23. I hope they take this time to change how globle IOs work. Some of them lose thier effect when you malefactor down too low. I don't think you should lose the effect of globle IOs ever. After dropping ridiculous amounts of Inf on some of the better ones like LotG 7.5%, it really blows to lose that recharge bonus just because you malefactor doen to play with a friend. Even if it's just a globle run speed boost...it's annoying to lose that and discourages me from malefactoring down.
  24. The funny thing is the person whining about Billz sig art has a disgusting avatar of an extreme close up of someone's funky teeth...which I find much more disturbing than some silly comic book art. Oh noes! one cartoon stabbing another! get the FCC!
  25. Will this have any affect on minimum level requirements on certain Trials and TFs/SFs?
