Quote:I dispute your assertion and mock your thread. If you're going to do a vanity search, make it epic. Maybe you'll see yourself. Maybe someone you vaguely remember. Just keep in mind that I rule all. After all, you said so.
Furthermore, I fart in your general direction.
Shockingly, I'm not on your list of supporters.

Quote:Yeah, some people posting in here are really pathetic, like this one here.....Lecture someone abiut being inflammatory and how you dont like them but turn around, out of the blue, and do the same? If those are your standards there, I'm glad I dotn have your standards you can keep them.
Oh, wait..... -
I use Avast and just tried. Avast is blocking it also as a malware threat.

Quote:I don't think people are talking about the code, i.e. the 'engine'. They're talking about the intellectual property. So let's assume in 10 years someone gets the smart idea of saying "hey, let's try that superhero thing again that we totally failed to sell in our main market" and aren't shouted down. CoH was already an old code base now, 10 years from now it'll be ancient, like playing Adventure on an Atari 2600 - and that's assuming we'll still be gaming on desktops and laptops running a version of Windows.

Quote:All nonsense. Businesses have contractual obligations. Anything beyond that, additional things YOU think they should do, are optional.Dumbest phrase ever created by humans, done for no other reason than to trick society into believing that being a business somehow mystically ascends you to a god-like status and makes you accountable to nobody. Everyone is just accustomed to it being that way. Doesn't make it right. It's a kind of free-reign that business never should've had.

You can choose to 'invest' time, money, etc in anything you want. That doesn't change the nature of whatever you're 'investing' in. It's still a monthly paid service, just like your cable TV or phone. No actions or decisions on your part change that.

Wow... um... something about rescuing a princess? Not really sure.....
Quote:The last time we had some weirdo with strange, only partially-comprehensible speech pretending to have insider information, it was MishiLoveWhomever and she was spreading complete b.s. about this and that continuing on.... -

Nonsense. Your saying it's an 'investment' doesn't make it one. It's a game. It's a monthly service. You CHOSE to play a game rather than going out and buying that car.

1. Looking back, considering everything, which was your favorite archetype in the game?
Hard to say. I had absolute swarms of both tanks and controllers. I guess tanks. Feeling 'not squishy' was always nice.
2. In possible contrast, when it comes to your favorite character, what kind was it? List AT and the two main sets.
Ironblade is a broadsword/regen scrapper. I picked that combo when I started the game as I thought it would be decent in combat and keep me alive while learning the game. I was not disappointed and he became my main character.
3. What AT did you evolve to enjoy over the years that you disliked initially?
err.. none? I never really liked masterminds and still don't. -
Don't do business with them. But if they don't even notice the loss of business, that means the majority of their customers aren't aligned with YOUR principles.

Quote:There is power on both sides. It's called 'voting with your wallet'. If you think that $15 a month gives you more rights than that, you're delusional. And "long-term investment"??? This is a GAME, not a bank. You weren't investing. You were paying a monthly fee for a service, just like your phone or cable TV.But yes, there should be the power of give & take on both sides of the customer/business relationship, particularly when it comes to long-term investment.
Quote:Nobody should be allowed to suddenly discontinue a service such as this anymore than they have the right to nuke a city (that was still in the black, no less) on a "whim." -

Quote:That's good. Because that a completely stupid comparison. People have formed their opinion of NCSoft based on what the company did to people. Now, if that woman in the short skirt walked up to me and punched me in the nose, yeah, then she would deserve to be assaulted. Except it would be called self-defense.So why is NCSoft the devil? And not other buisnesses? I dont see this as a person to person victim comparision. More of a buisness decision where there are no victims. So why is NCSoft the devil and anyone who doesnt say that NCSoft is the devil basicallly is saying that someone with a short skirt deserved what came to them? I dont think it's black and white like that.

Quote:Everyone has their own opinion on the matter. Some people think it's a great idea; others think it's terrible. Both groups are likely, in my opinion, to not be greatly concerned what other people think about them.Which is, IMO, immature, vindictive and ultimately unwarranted.
Yes, that viewpoint makes me unpopular around these parts, so full of nerd-rage and irrational hyperbole, oh well, I'll live.
Quote:To me the 'true colors' of this 'community' have shown through like a beacon now.
You're tarring the entire community because a small number propose an action of which YOU PERSONALLY disapprove. Yeah, immature fits the bill there. -
Next up is the Imperious Task Force. Please remember the following:
1) This is a co-op TF so any alignment can join.
2) You must have access to the Midnighter Club to get to Cimerora.
NOTE - You no longer need to do a mission arc to get Midnighter Access. You can just go to Night Ward and walk into the Midnight Mansion.
Collecting the House Hunter exploration badge will also give you the badge to enter the Midnighter Club.

Quote:I'm pretty sure they have to originate in the same spawn. Creatures originating in one spawn are 'linked' to each other in their behavior. For example, if you have two Sky Raider Engineers in a spawn, only one will drop a FF Generator. Same goes for DE Sentries and Cairns.I thought I'd do the "Destroy the Titan Center" mission, so I was practicing on them in the wild and I can't get them to combine. I thought it was something along the lines of getting two of them in proximity down to half- or quarter-health and then they'll will combine, but I can't seem to manage it.
Can someone remind me what the trick is? -
Strongly disagree. That sounds like it would be an absolutely stupid and useless piece of legislation.

Okay, now we're safe to do the Numina TF. I was on a Numina the other day that ended up taking 2-1/2 hours due to the Halloween event. TWICE, we had zone hunts stopped by back-to-back Zombie/Banner events. When I say 'back to back', I mean:
Zombies have disappeared from Brickstown.
Supernatural activity detected in Brickstown.
NOOOOO!!!!!!!
