I'll do it with my PvE toon. I aint afraid of no troller
On 3 provisions;
No insps or travel powers and lvl set to 45.
10 minute bout, unlimited falls and no submissions. -
Having great fun with my AR/Dev blaster in PvP. The lask of any special effects pointing back to me when I snipe usually allows me enough time to loose off another couple of attacks before being targetted.
But the sniper rifle seems fairly poor and the lack of "build up" means none of the attacks sub-30 are particularly devastating. I here energy can 1 shot stalkers. Whereas the sniper attack will usually take off around a 3rd of the hps.
So I was wondering how AR compares with the other sets. Comments? -
A day early but since last Monday's was a day late I thought it only fair.
Part 7
<Fiery Wench>: Ur making this up
<Ickle Hero>: Honest, Its true
<Fiery Wench>: How do u know? Sounds like some1 pulling ur leg
<Ickle Hero>: Cassandra told me and shes pretty reliable
<Fiery Wench>: Still cant believe any1 can be so dum
<Vernita>: Whose dumb?
<Fiery Wench>: Some guy called Amazing N00b
<Vernita>: What he do?
<Ickle Hero>: His mum got knocked up by some guy calling himself The Inseminator
<Badar5e>: Zomg!!!!! U kidding!
N00b tossed the herocom away in disgust. It had been nearly a week since it had gotten out and the broadcast channel was still full of it. Ironically it had given him what hed been after; celebrity status. Everyone in Paragon knew his name now. Everyone sniggered when they met him for the first time or made snide comments. It was a nightmare.
He gave the Atlas statue a wide berth now. He didnt dare show his face there. The last time hed found himself surrounded by heroes all clamouring over one another to make a fool of him. It was like being back at school again and all the old wounds of that dreadful part of his life were being torn open.
With his hero career appearing to be in ruins and the awful truth of his father revealed N00b had, in desperation, turned his attention to his other duty; earning money to send home to mother. Hed considered getting a normal job, but he had no skills of any value and was facing minimum wage. This was out of the question. It would take too much time out of his week from earning influence. He needed to make more significant amounts and do it quickly.
Of course there were avenues for heroes to make money. Statesman was the front man for Cocoa Cola, whilst War Witch had signed on with Pepsi. It was even rumoured that Lord Recluse had just signed a multi-million dollar deal with Microsoft and was going to be the face of Windows Vista.
It wasnt just the upper echelons that gained lucrative sponsorships deals, some of the more minor heroes had opted to turn their image into dollars. Bridger had recently been spotted in a series of commercial for Anusol, the haemorrhoid cream, where he espoused the necessity of anal well-being for effective crime fighting.
N00bs first delve into the potentially lucrative world of sponsorship had been somewhat less dramatic four hours of walking up and down the streets of Kings Row wearing a sandwich board informing everyone of the meaty delights that could be found at Ted the Butchers. It had nevertheless earned him a healthy $50. Once a week and mother would be, maybe not satisfied but, appeased. Hed wired the money to her immediately.
But it was further humiliation he could well do without. Several heroes had stopped to laugh at him and then, upon realising who he was, laughed even harder.
A knock on his door interrupted his self-pity. He knew who it was. It couldnt be anyone else and he considered ignoring it, but eventually he called out for his visitor to come in.
Tuffy entered wearing the same sympathetic expression he now habitually wore around N00b. N00b didnt know what was worse the ridicule or the pity.
A group of us are going to the Hollows to take on Frostfire. I hear hes a tough customer and we could use all the help we can get, said Tuffy. I thought youd like to come. Itll help take your mind of things.
Ill pass.
Come on. Bust some chops, crack some skulls and help make the city a safer place. It doesnt get any better than that, Tuffy pressed. Then he leaned in conspiratorially and said in slightly lower volume. If youre worried about anyone saying anything, dont. These are all good people who are very sympathetic to your, um, situation.
I dont want their sympathy.
Of course you dont, but you dont want to be ridiculed either, Tuffy countered.
N00b grunted noncommittally.
And helping to bring down Frostfire will do wonders for your reputation. Hes a formidable foe. Not to be trifled with. Without you we could all be looking at a trip to the hospital and in the Hollows thats awfully inconvenient as of course the nearest medical facility is in Atlas so once you get out of the hospital you have to cross half of Atlas and then you have to run however far across the Hollows to get to Frostfires base again and you can just imagine how long all that
Enough!! roared N00b suddenly with a ferocity that visibly shook the smaller man.
Tuffy fell silent although N00b knew it was only a temporary reprieve.
If I go will you promise not to talk. No, scratch that, said N00b realising he was asking the impossible. Will you promise to talk less?
Cross my heart.
Good enough, lets go then.
By the time they arrived at the Hollows the rest of the eight-man team was already waiting outside Frostfires hideout and the two men were facing a tough trek across the Hollows alone.
Ill ask for a teleport, said Tuffy. Although I dont know if anyones got that power.
I can make it, said N00b before lumbering off. Hed be damned before he accepted anyones help.
His path was heavily populated with gangs of trolls and outcasts and he gave them as wide a berth as possible. A few glanced in his direction but none made any aggressive moves. It seemed they were willing to leave him alone if he did likewise and that suited N00b just fine and soon his caution gave way to confidence.
The shotgun blast took the legs out from out both him and that burgeoning confidence. Quickly he rose to his feet to see a large group of trolls descending on him. Bullets filled the air along with bolts of ice and fire and N00b realised immediately he wasnt getting out of this one without a trip to the hospital.
But hed be damned if he was going to make it easy for them. Summoning all his strength he leaped up and over their heads and landed in the middle of the group. At least, that was his intention, an instant before he came back down to earth the world around him shimmered, faded and then back at full strength.
N00b landed in a fighting pose but of the trolls there was no sign. The road was gone, replaced by a car park, but that didnt register immediately. He whipped around just in case the trolls had somehow managed to all get behind him. But they were gone and in their place were Tuffy and six heroes and it was only then N00b realised hed been teleported.
Right, were all here, said the tallest of the group. And I suggest we get inside before his friends turn up. He gestured out across the car park at the group of trolls N00b had left behind. They were heading directly towards them.
They must want an autograph, said another hero and sniggered.
N00b noticed Tuffy give the second hero a hard stare who, astonishingly, seemed to wilt under the glare.
..sry, said the hero quietly and quickly retreated into the building.
Glad to have you here, said Tuffy. On a mission like this we really need someone who can soak up most of the damage.
Yeah, sure, grunted N00b and then after a brief pause ran over what Tuffy had said. Sorry, can you run that past me again? -

Edit: After further testing, I have found that Defenders can see through hide and stealth when the stalker goes within about 6ft with just tactics. This is wrong, imo. Stealth and hide should require TWO +perception powers to overcome them. I'll probably drop stealth now, and get something else.
[/ QUOTE ]
I disagree. IIRC the +perception boost for defenders is much higher than for most other ATs at 80% (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Also bear in mind that Hide is a lvl1 power, whilst stealth is a lvl6 power. Tactics on the other hand is a lvl14 power that requires you to take assault or maneouvers 1st. In effect you DO need to take 2 powers to counter the stalkers 2 stealth powers. -
[ QUOTE ]
But that's not how it works... They're both powers that boost your stealth, meaning that enemies wont see you from so far away. invis just is so strong that an enemy needs +perspecion to see you at all... But the way stealth works, there really is no "ranged stealth".
[/ QUOTE ]
I think you're confusing the ranged component of perception with the stealth/hide/invisible abilities. If the foe has no +perception then you're invisible whether your 2 feet or 2 miles away. It is, for the sake or argument, rangeless. But ther is a range at which you'll become visible with stealth.
If the foe has some +perception running, once you get in range of THAT ability he'll see through your invisibility. The language is fairly confusing but I can see a distinction. -
I think he means whereas invisibility means your invisible no matter how close u are, stealth means you're only invisible at a distance.
-
I guess you'll just have to start teaming with someone with Grant invisibility, just as the heroes were told to start teaming with someone with tactics.
Sympathy: 0 -
Note this day in your calender folks. It's the first stalker moan!!!! Whoooo!

What concerns me is that hero bases are devoid of anything resembling a door. I personally would have liked to have seen some lockable rooms. The doors could be destroyable but its a vERY obvious form of defence that appears to have been overlooked.
Additionally I feel all invaders should materialise in the main hallway next to the entrance. That room should be lockable so that every battle starts with the invaders having to batter their way through a door and out into a line of defenders waiting for them.
Defending should be easier than attacking - that's how it works. Any SG in possession of an IoP should be reasonably sure of keeping it when facing an SG of comparable numbers and ability.
Again, maybe things will change as the bases get larger but I can't help do the maths. What about when a base expands to the point where it can house 5 IoPs? That's 30 anchors spread over 30 rooms and only a maximum of 75 defenders. 2.5 per room MAX, and given most SGs you're probably looking at more like 1 defender per room. How on earth do you go about defending a chunk of real estate that large with so few ppl?
I think some major fiddling with the base system will occur after base raids start becomming common. -
Warning! Mild sexual content. Personally I think it's very mild but you never can tell with forums.
Part 6
The next few days after N00bs liberation from death were a blur of crime-fighting, pain and trips to the local hospital. N00b had never felt so alive, despite spending much of the time technically dead. Winning a battle put him on a high like hed never known before and defeat was simply a minor inconvenience closely followed by his return to the streets to take revenge on those who hadnt managed to take down the first time around.
Defeating them was an even greater high. N00b liked revenge.
Hed taken a couple of missions and after a few attempts had even been successful, he visited Ms Liberty a few times for training and was pleased to see his powers expanding. Despite his bumpy start N00b was happy with his own progress and felt well on his way to becoming a hero to be reckoned with.
Being unaccustomed to the experience it took a while for N00b to realise he was actually happy. The YHCA didnt seem so dismal anymore, earning Influence instead of hard currency didnt seem so unjust, in fact his account was filling up nicely and by N00bs reckoning he would be able to afford the rent on a modest apartment within a very weeks, although apparently hed have to switch to earning prestige as well and wait for something called i8. And he no longer worked quite so hard at avoiding Tuffy. He still avoided him thought. There are limits.
All this came crashing down after hed called home and suffered repeated lashings from his mothers tongue. The first had been for waiting so long to call, the second for reversing the charges and then hed conveyed his bad news, first about the influence and then about his father.
N00b had taken some time out to visit city hall again to search their records for any information relating to his wayward father. Hed been shown to a computer, given a few moments instruction by a pretty but obviously bored assistant and left to his own devices. After two hours he was still no closer to his goal.
He suffered multiple lashes for that failure and when it was over was instructed to begin asking some of the other heroes around Paragon. Someone would undoubtedly remember him. Before hanging up his mothers parting shot had been about the money he owed him and that he needed to start sending back $200 a month just to keep abreast of the interest.
The buoyant, happy N00b was forgotten almost immediately and it was a forlorn figure that headed immediately over to the statue of Atlas. $200 a month was beyond his reach for the moment but he could begin asking around for his father and if there was one place you could find heroes with time to talk it was under the giant globe of Atlas.
It was early evening and heroes were beginning to assemble. Some were dancing and listening to boom boxes but most were just standing around chatting. He spotted one group in particular, made up of four older heroes, they seemed like the best bet. As he approached his hair began to stand up on end, the static electricity from their collective auras were charging the air. The power, almost tangible, was slightly intimidating.
Uh, hello? said N00b hesitantly.
Hello young hero, boomed the largest of them. What can we do for you?
Hi, Im The Amazing N00b.
Pleased to meet you, said the older hero bowing slightly. Im Captain Crime.
A question N00b had longed to ask suddenly bubbled to the surface and knocked the question about his father off the top spot.
A military man? N00b asked.
Captain Crime chuckled. No, I just liked the title. We all do dont we? He addressed his companions who nodded.
Its a theme within our Super Group, continued the Captain. For example, this is Major Incident, General Electric and on the end we have Grand Field Marshall Montgomery.
The third, added Grand Field Marshall Montgomery the third.
Please to meet you all.
Now, what is we can do for you? asked the Captain again.
How long have you been in the city? N00b asked.
Nearly thirty years now, getting close to retirement, said the captain with a broad grin. Leave the crime fighting to you youngsters.
Good, said N00b enthused. Im trying to find a hero who came to Paragon about twenty four years ago.
City hall has complete records, the Captain suggested.
N00b shook his head. Ive been there, theres no record of him. I even tried every possible spelling of his name and didnt find anything.
The captain grunted thoughtfully. So what was his name?
The Impregnator, said N00b sincerely.
The captain gave him a long look of open astonishment before turning to his companions for support, but they were furiously trying to stifle their hysterics and no help whatsoever. Eventually the captain gave in and broke into open howls of laughter.
N00b couldnt see what was funny and was about to stalk off when the Captain managed to get off a few words.
Are you serious, boy? Really? The Impregnator?
Yes! snapped N00b impatiently.
Oh my word, wheezed Grand Field Marshall Montgomery the third. Thats the funniest thing Ive heard all week!
I think Im going to puke! said General Electric.
Youre lucky Im going to fill my tights! stammered Major Incident.
Whats so funny? N00b demanded.
Captain Crimes face straightened and with a titanic force of will brought himself under control. He took a deep breath to speak but immediately dissolved into hysterics again. N00b waved a hand at them in disgust and left them to their hilarity.
He abandoned any further attempts to find out about his father and headed out into the car park to fight some crime but after easily dispatching his third group of Hellions it was obvious his heart wasnt in it and instead made his way back to the YHCA. He was half a block away when he ran, almost headlong, into Tuffy.
Why hello there my old friend! Been out keeping the streets of Paragon safe have we? We really must team up you know, Im sure wed make an invincible pair. Im off to the Hollows now, once you get clearance you absolutely must join me. Therere all sorts of monstrosities out there, not just trolls and outcasts you know, theres demons and these ugly things made of rock N00bs expression finally registered. Whatevers the matter? he asked and uncharacteristically lapsed into silence to await an answer.
Despite himself N00b related the story of the four heroes. Omitting his fathers name as he couldnt bear the thought of Tuffy laughing at him. Tuffy listened earnestly and didnt interrupt and only when N00b was obviously finished did he speak again.
And what was your fathers name? he asked quietly.
N00b hesitated for a long moment, but finally told him and prepared for the worst. But Tuffys expression grew more serious.
I fear youre mother fell prey to a ruffian posing as a hero to gain her attention, he said placing a consoling hand on N00bs shoulder.
N00b was confused. People do that?
Of course, Tuffy assured him. Being a hero brings adulation from the opposite sex. Watch.
He turned his gaze on the steady stream of pedestrians and once he spotted a pretty girl he called out to her.
Hi gorgeous! Want to come out with me tonight?
Get lost, freak! she retorted after barely glancing at Tuffy.
Undaunted, Tuffy selected his next candidate. Hey baby! Want to get busy with a hero?
Beat it, weirdo!
Well, maybe Paragons not the best place to try that, Tuffy admitted. Too many heroes and they see us every day, but back in your home town being a hero is no doubt something special. The locals never fail to be impressed and sometimes people pretend to be heroes to get these special favours. I fear in your case it was your mothers favours he was after. Its not uncommon.
Youre saying my father wasnt a hero?
Not with a name like that.
N00b gave the smaller man a blank look.
Its a fake hero name, Tuffy explained. Like Love Machine, Deep Penetrator, or Hip Gyrator. I even heard of one calling himself Anal Intruder, though I cant imagine how anyone fell for that one. Im very sorry, if theres anything I can do to help.
No, I think Ill just head up to my room.
We could go crack some skulls together, Tuffy suggested. Thatll cheer you up.
No, Id like to be alone if you dont mind. I have some serious thinking to do.
Tuffy regarded him sympathetically. If you need anything, you know where to find me.
N00b watched him leave, but his mind was focused elsewhere. He headed over to the YHCA and climbed the stairs to his room in a daze. His body running on automatic as N00b tried to put the enormity of the blow into perspective. He had no particular feelings towards his father. The man was a stranger, although the humiliation was stinging like a fresh burn it was overshadowed by a far greater problem.
What on earth was he going to tell Mother? -
As Hammerfall says, as bases get larger the balance of power may shift in favour of the defenders. the appearance of choke points and static defences may make a significant difference.
Personally I doubt. One of you boys will be able to keep me straight on this; don't attackers appear randomly about the base? SGs aren't going to get bigger just because the bases do so in effect, as the base grows larger so the defence gets spread more thinly. -

Build Up + AS + Energy Transfer + Placate + Strongest thing you got left = a LOAD of damage very fast. I wonder... if a regen isn't paying attention, he should be as good as dead.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmmm, not sure what energy transfer does, but (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) even with build up (In Sirens Call) an AS can expect to do somewhere on the low side of 700points of damage. The regen scrapper will still have in the order of 300hps left.
Yes you can catch a regen scrapper unawares and I got brought down last night because I was fighting someone else, when the AS hit I went from 80% to 10% like lightning and the next 10% went before I could fire off reconstruction.
When I went back for revengeI went in with DP and IH fired up and caused some mayhem. I was ASd THREE times as fast as the stalker could manage and they barely made a dent, but it wasn't the stalker I was after - it was the damn bubbler MM.
Can ANYONE hit them? -
[ QUOTE ]
Regen ftw.. normally a stalker isnt hit if you got nin or SR, but with regen you become a immortal deathmachine! if you get hit.. so what you got intergration which heals you up pretty fast. Then they do some bad dmg, cuz your intergration+fast healing wont keep up in the long runbut then you use dull pain which not only boost your hp but also heals you the amount so if you use it right youll get full hp + then boosted max hp XD .. then when he hits you down again you still got reconstruction which heals pretty much (max is about 50-60%) and then you still got your instant heal... how much hp do you think your enemy have left now ?
[/ QUOTE ]
If he's a regen scrapper then you'll be running for the hills screaming like a girl before then, but it's nice to know regen stalkers have some potential. Although still low lvl that's what mine is -
So basically its taken 2 weeks to get a fully functional base? Doesn't sound too bad to me.
-
A day late thanks largely to the nearby pub hosting a special event coupled with them not refusing to sell me beer.
But here it is. Enjoy.
Part 5
The sun was low enough in the sky to be shining on the Atlas statue through the western barrier and gave one side of the monument a dancing blue tinge that sharply contrasted its more usual grey. Beneath him heroes were beginning to congregate, to compare notes about the days crime fighting, make plan for the evenings evil-quelling. Sometime they came to meet people, to show off their powers or costumes and sometimes theyd come simply to dance to bad music with the volume set high enough to annoy everyone in a quarter mile radius.
N00b, despite being close by in the car park noticed none of this. His attention was fixed on two things. The first being the three thugs less than thirty yards away who were attempting to steel a car with what appeared to be a hammer and chisel. The second thing, which was occupying the majority of his brains processing power was keeping the rising tide of panic at bay.
With the second part his mother was helping. Her face swam through his mind, twisted in a mask of disgust he would barely have recognised if hadnt been for the moustache.
What would your father think? she demanded. Youre going to find him and when you do, you want him to know youre a coward and a failure?
N00b wasnt stupid, he realised this was just his mind playing tricks on him, but he wondered why it chose his father as a motivator. Hed never met the man, hed left for Paragon long before he was born and had only stopped at his mothers farm (then his Grandfathers farm) to do some odd jobs to earn money. According to his mother theyd fallen in love and he would have stayed if it werent for his heroic sense of duty. He was a hero and he had to go where he were needed the most, regardless of the personal cost.
Think of your father, came his mothers voice. A paragon hero! Its his footstep youre following in. Do you want him to be so ashamed that he refuses to acknowledge youre his son?
No, replied N00b silently.
No, his mothers voice agreed. We want him to know and be proud of his son and to see the fine man you grew into and proudly recognise you as his flesh and blood. And the moment he does, BAM! We nail the ******* for eighteen years of child support!
N00b eyed the three thugs and edged a little closer. They seemed totally absorbed in the task of chiselling the tire off for reasons that were unclear, but it allowed N00b, his resolve now set, to launch a surprise attack.
He charged in and with his full weight behind the blow he thumped the nearest thug on the back of the head. Instead of sending him reeling as N00b had hoped he turned and regarded N00b with contempt and menace. His two companions stopped what they were doing and turned to face the inexpert hero.
Get the cape, growled the first thug.
N00bs knees quivered and threatened to buckle as the first blow came in, not from the blow itself, which was surprisingly weak, but just from fear. Another blow, then another found its mark. N00b tried to shield himself but realised he didnt need to. There was surprisingly little pain. The blows sounded strong enough but appeared to be largely ineffectual against his hide.
With his confidence growing N00b loosed a ferocious jab at the nearest and smallest thug who reeled from the force of the blow. Emboldened N00b pressed forward raining down blow after merciless blow with almost no resistance. Victory seemed at hand when the lead thug stepped forward and did something N00b would later consider unforgivable.
From the recesses of his waistcoat the lead thug produced a four-foot long mallet and swung it overhand as if hammering in a peg. The blow connected with the top of N00bs head with so much force the concrete beneath his feet cracked. Then his knees really did buckle and N00b found himself on his back with his three foes approaching. He scrambled frantically to his feet and took to his heels. Behind him he could hear guns being drawn and a moment later gunfire split the air.
He leapt to his right, slipped, regained his footing and bounced to his left and tried to shield his head as more gunfire sounded. He stumbled again, almost caught himself but slipped at the last moment and succeeded in launching himself head first into the side of car.
He dithered on the edge of consciousness but the dim realisation that large shapes were moving around him brought him reluctantly to something distantly related to alertness. With Herculean effort he managed to bring the three figures into focus. N00b looked up at them blankly until the muzzles of their guns, hovering inches from his face, brought recognition.
Oh N00b managed.
The world became very bright and noisy and then very dark and quiet.
An unidentified ping was the first thing N00b became aware of next, then the gentle whine of electric motors as something passed upwards through his field of vision. A well turned out young man in a white coat came into view.
Mr N00b?
?
The man smiled and looked down at a clipboard.
Ah, your first time I see, yes, dont worry, youre safe and sound. Im Dr Young. Youre in the Atlas park medical facility.
What happened? I thought I was dead.
Technically you were, agreed the Doctor.
I dont understand.
Confusion is to be expected, but youll get used to after youve been here a few times and may come to enjoy it, at least, thats what the Blappers tell me.
Am I all right?
Youre perfectly fine, and ready to take to the streets again, said Young and with a professional smile left N00b and turned his attention to the lower half of a nearby nurse
N00b gave himself a quick once over just to be sure but found nothing untoward. He was whole and healthy. Hed been defeated by three viscous thugs and instead of spending weeks in hospital with parts of himself held on by stitches or even a considerably longer period in box he was ready to go out and fight again.
His second worst all-time fear had been realised and now he knew there was nothing to worry about. A considerably different experience from his second worst all-time fear, which hed been confronted with eight month earlier when his mother found his extensive porn collection the consequences of which still gave him nightmares.
He passed through the hospital, barely aware of his surroundings too wrapped up in the miracle that had just happened and its ultimate meaning. The ramifications were literally mind-blowing and it was a very different N00b that stepped out the door of the hospital and into the darkening streets of Atlas.
The old fearful N00b was dead. Those thugs may not have killed his body but a part of him had died, a part that he loathed and wouldnt miss. There would be no more running, no more hiding in dumpsters, there would only be indefatigable justice, N00bs justice.
He was now the man with no fear and he had work to do. -

[/ QUOTE ]
Unless you've immobolised the hero he *should* execute exit plan A right after he's placated. Leaving you all Built up and no one to AS -
[ QUOTE ]
I would like to point out that you may get me with snipe. However, a team mate stalker would no doubt be rubbing his hands with glee as you are just stationed there (flying or not).
[/ QUOTE ]
I can't confirm it but based on some of the reactions from the ppl I've sniped I think you can shoot further than the shot can be heard - will need to test that on someone. My damage output isn't at its full potential yet; I've yet to get her SOs and she still don't have assault (she's only 21st lvl).
I have been taken down by numerous stalkers since this toon first entered SCs and the point of this thread was not to tout my uber stalker-hunter but to share with the community that its possible to build a non-controller toon that not only can fend off stalkers but can take the fight to them. -
[ QUOTE ]
BU+Impale+placate+AS/or an attack again
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmm. Does impale stun or just toggle drop and -fly? I've yet to be impaled so don't know. It's that stun that's the problem, especially if I don't have a BF. If I'm not stunned then you're not going to get to use your AS, especially after the caltops go down.
But stalk-obot and you have raised an important point, I need to be able to execute a plan-B getaway. If I'm in melee range I'm fighting the stalker's fight and can't be having that so am considering 3 slotting swift and sprint.
[ QUOTE ]
3 slotted placate for range and 3 slotted impale for range and watch who snipes who
[/ QUOTE ]
It'll still be me sniping you2 slots for range on snipe should still give me a comfortable margin of error
-
[ QUOTE ]
oooh bad move, if you are flying you will be downed by impale
[/ QUOTE ]
You think I'm close enough for you to use it?Snipe has a VERY long range.
-
I know what stalk-obot means. It requires using the terrain rather than just relying on stealth and hide. Which I imagine are becomming increasingly ineffective.
-
[ QUOTE ]
For devices blasters I recommend you never move off caltops as it takes me a split second to drop down from above and also fear anyone with TP foe
[/ QUOTE ]
Hmmm, you seem to be suggesting the Dev blaster sit tight and wait for the stalker to come to them. As you said, tp foe is a problem, so if the stalker knows where you are then you're going to get tped off your caltrops.
FAR better imho to go after them. You won't be jumping down onto me, in a split second or otherwise as odds are I'll be above you, lining up a shot -
[ QUOTE ]
Some stalkers have perception bonuses, one stalker could see through my invis (power pool), so dont assume your cloak will work all the time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually I don't. The huge range of my snaipe is generally what I rely on -
[ QUOTE ]
I look out for you, see if you can get this element of surprise. This stalker may surprise you ... it did me when it started taking down scrappers the other nite.
[/ QUOTE ]
It doesn't look like I'll get the chance. You appear to be on Union. -
[ QUOTE ]
Caltrops shouldn't work on me either as am resistant to slow. So in this example, you are grounded (cant fly), your caltrops have not affected me, its not looking to good for you .....
[/ QUOTE ]
Hehe, so caltrops don't work on you, fair enough. I can't argue the point since I don't know. What I do know is you're not going to know I'm there until I pull the trigger (cloaking device) and even after I do your impale isn't going to reach me
Not trying to suggest I'll beat u or anything at all. I'm just jazzed that at last I have a build that can stand up to a stalker (my main can only survive them, he can't beat them) and I can now hunt the hunters
