As I never seem to have much luck recruiting for this one in game, I thought I'd try posting this here - despicable devilish villain Baron Robegus will be attempting to run a Relentless Mender Silos Strike Force on Sunday morning - anyone interested in trying to take down all of the Freedom Phalanx should gather by Mender Silos at about 10 am.
Hmmm, Mender Silos? Why, that's an anagram of... Sir Ed Melons!
Some caddish foe of Lady Jane, no doubt.
'I'll get me hands on those melons one day, Lady Jane! Ding dong!' -

Heroes is also shown on BBC3 on Sky digital, this station takes advertising and also shows Heroes a week in advance to BBC2.
[/ QUOTE ]
Errr, there's no advertising on BBC3 (or BBC4) even if you get it via Sky - they're both Freeview digital channels provided by the BBC, not satellite services.
Smallville might be a better bet for a sponsorship deal, or that superhero sitcom No Heroics. -
There have been quite a lot of them, to be honest - my tendency to stay in character pretty much all the time (particularly on Igor Blimey and Cyborg Seadog) has been known to drive people into rages on team talk - I've lost count of the times that Igor's been told to [censored] by people who don't want none of that fancy roleplaying a'goin on.
There's also the farmers who won't take 'I don't farm' as an answer - the last one was 'how do you expect to get to level 50 without farming?', then a stream of abuse when I said I wasn't in a hurry.
What I really find rude is the people who get a team together to do one thing and then start doing something else completely different - like the other day when my defender was recruited into a team to do the Citadel TF, then once the team was all assembled we were suddenly doing Croatoa ghost missions instead.
Something else I've noticed recently with my high level characters - Power Levelers forming teams of level 50s. I'll get a message to join a team, I'll say OK, join the team alongside some other level 50s, only to find that the team leader is a low level character who's demanding SK. The first time it happened I assumed he was someone's friend, but it's happened a few times now... anyway, I consider that rather rude. -

but I did get one very emphatic NO!!!!

That may have been me, sorry - my corrupter had been getting spammed by a farmer trying to form a team, who seemed to think that setting your flag to LFT means that it overrides your 'no farmers' comment... -
I was organising a Rikti Ship Raid yesterday, and we were trick or treating the fort at Point du Hoc while we were waiting to get enough people together. There were two and a bit teams there for most of the time, and we must have got eight or nine spirits turn up in the space of about half an hour (we were spawning some massive mobs, though).
So, I reckon that several teams of ToTers working together in one small area would spawn enough Spirits in no time... -

* Why do people seem to think it's ok to tell a buffer that it's time for them to fire off power x?
I never say to a tank 'taunt enemy X plz'; to a scrapper 'shadow maul plz' nor to a blaster 'NOVA PLX!!' - so why the hell do other people think it's fine to demand SB/CM/fort/ID/O2/whatever - particularly when you're dishing it out as fast as it charges/expires.[/b]
[/ QUOTE ]
Actually, my Corrupter was teamed with someone who felt that they could dictate when to use her attack powers the other day - she kept getting orders to use Rain of Fire against lone minions. Not to mention the demands for buffing with Forge, a power she didn't have at the time... -
The day job I want is Bank Robber or Bank Defender, where your character can turn up as a Rogue Island villain or Signature Hero on the other side's Safeguard/Mayhem missions when you're off-line.
And then the servers could grind to a halt, before exploding into a giant ball of flame! -

When not under the influence of the Super-Model Serum, Miss Wonderstar adopts her civilian identity of Susan Bland, dowdy university librarian, and lives in one of the university campus buildings in Steel Canyon. It's been a lot noisier since the Midnight Squad moved in downstairs, though...

Shadow Moderator lives in a Shadow Ministry safe house. In keeping with the Ministry's ultra-secretive nature, it can only be accessed via a scrambled teleport channel and its physical location is a closely guarded secret - even from her.
As a dryad, Daisy Chainsaw becomes one with the Green, dematerializes her physical form and effectively ceases to exist, at least in a way that a mere human mind can comprehend.
Villains
Trapped for sixty years within an extra dimensional pocket universe contained within a sphere of black quartz, the fallen angel known as Baron Robegus sacrificed a great deal of power in order to craft a spell that would allow him to come and go at will from his prison. The black sphere itself is now contained within the pocket universe (in other words, it is inside itself). This fracture in the laws of physics appeals to the Baron's sense of the ridiculous.
Cyborg Seadog and his crew live aboard the Naughty Lass, a steampunk-style submarine 'acquired' from Nemesis sometime in the 1930s. It is currently docked in Port Oakes.

Not very authentic, though - Fussionette appearing for three minutes and seven seconds without getting killed or kidnapped?
Impossible! -

course there is also still "union badgehunters" channel for that.

I tried tuning into that channel, but it seems to consist entirely of people screaming abuse at each other... -
That went quite well, while it lasted - we managed to get two and a bit teams together, enough to grind through the Pylons pretty quickly. The heroic few managed to take down the shields at least twice, and managed to get our act together to take out the Master at Arms the second time (but not the nine Elite Bosses that spawned with him).
Unfortunately, the attack didn't last all day as I planned - maybe next time I ought to arrange a set time for attack (say a two hour window), as I get the feeling that people were turning up all day to find they'd missed it.
Maybe w could make this a regular Saturday thing... -
Shadow Moderator has occasionally tried to get a team together for the second or third respec trial - she has, however, found that if you broadcast a message to more than two monorial stops there's always someone who'll send you an angry tell for spamming (same thing happens when I send out tells trying to recruit people into the Shadow Ministry).
So, yes, there are definitely people looking to do the respec trials. -

Where is everyone at?
Thought they were going on all day....
[/ QUOTE ]
That was the plan! There were at least two raids this morning - however, between Shadow leaving and Igor arriving, everyone left...
There might be more people about in the evening, I think. -
[ QUOTE ]
Thats an early start! I'll still be asleep (prob half pi*sed an all). Whats your global tell and i'll give you a shout when i get on?
[/ QUOTE ]
The plan is for the raid to last all day - hopefully, people should be able to turn up in the Rikti War Zone at whatever time and there'll still be pylon assaults and ship raids going on. -
[ QUOTE ]
what sort of time will you start?
[/ QUOTE ]
Probably starting about 9am - meet in the Vanguard base, try to form teams with roughly the same levels in them, start up when we've got enough teams together to take down a pylon with the minimum of fuss. -
As there doesn't seem to have been a Rikti Ship Raid as long as I've been playing (at least, not that I know about!), I thought I'd try to get a huge 'Raid Day' organised - basically, as many people as possible turn up at at the RWZ and we'd get a load of teams together to knock down the pylons and blast the hell out of the Rikti ship. This would be an all day event with multiple raids, rather than a single assault.
If everyone could post a message on their Super Group welcome message, it would be much appreciated.
Lets make Saturday the 21st a day the Rikti won't forget in a hurry!
