Also remember that the Freakshow will work for anyone who provides sandwiches and a keg.

I didn't think they actually ate. I thought they got their energy from their drug and batteries or whatever... HOW do they deal with their bodily functions? Are those claws and hammers removable? o_O

According to in game descriptions, they have "care takers".

All I can say to that is:
    o.O

    O.o

I will have to keep my eyes peeled for that, I've never seen anything alluding to it... What a job that must be..

  3. The idea of stealth supressing is laughable. I can think of so many situations, either in comics or movies, where someone has been stealthy or invisible, and their stealth didn't drop on attacking or being attacked. Think of the new batman movie.

Your stealth supression should be a "hit roll", based on perception. You hit someone, they have a roll to see you. I would say somewhere in the 50-60% range. And they have a chance of losing you again, maybe in the 30-40% range. this would be much more realistic. If a marine was in full camo or in a ghilly suit, and you get shot or hit, you aren't always going to be able to pick him out of the scenery. You MIGHT be able to, and that would be your perception.

If you are attacked it should be the same the same, however the numbers should be less in your favor, because obviously you've already been seen.

Don't turn stealth into the same thing every other MMO has. It was unique and it was cool. Atleast look into the whole roll to supress. That atleast makes sense.

Here's the real numbers (that's what I get for doing stuff from memory).

    Wet Ice
    0.5% base
1.265% Defence from Wet Ice with +++ SO's.

Statesman, my man, how about we remove the defense totally and reduce the endurance cost to compensate? I can't imagine -anyone- including myself, slotting this power out for defense. At all. Ever. Cheers!
  5. Hey Jack, your brother will be in my prayers. He truly is a real life hero for risking his life. You're an awesome brother for going to see him off!
  6. 1: Very fun!

2: The graphics for glue arrow and poison gas arrow (and possibly other similar ones) lag the hell out of my computer. If I turn down the particle effects to the point where I normally have them (100), then you can't even see it. No other set is pretty much invisible at 100 max particles. So I have a choice of either lag, or not being able to see the effects. Could we do something to help this?

3: Honestly, I think that Ice Arrow is a little too powerful to be so early in the set.

4: The Flashy Blind arrow (can't remember the name) seems to be pretty useless. It doesn't last long (or atleast the particle effects don't), it uses a whole heck of alot of end for the effect, and it seems to miss. Aren't similar powers like smoke and smoke grenade auto hit?

6: Do we really need ice arrow AND entanglement arrow? Entanglement seems so meh compared to Ice Arrow. Maybe if it was a small scale AoE I could see taking it. Otherwise, its like fire cage w/o the damage. Controllers take it because they have to. I don't see anyone voluntarily taking this power.
  7. The sounds of the set are completely obnoxious. Playing a female with the sounds is crazy. Also I don't think of sonics as shouting. More like crazy vibrations and very intense musical notes.

The -res is way too powerful.

I'd love to test it more, if only the sound wasn't so irritating.

Tower Raids in AO had this problem. Was on countless teams that broke up because 1 or more members had to run off to defend their towers. I rather like this idea. And if it dosnt seem "realistic" you can pretend, say if your the villian base, that you heard threw the underworld grapevine that the heroes are planning to attack, so you have a chance to get ready, or vise versa.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Tower raids in AO were so unfair it wasn't even funny. If you happen to be in a small guild, and not one of "THE" guilds you were pretty much screwed. I was in a guild that had, oh I dunno, maybe 60-70 folks and we could barely hold on to our field. People get to know when your guild plays, how many people you have, what levels there are, etc, and they work around it. The appointment system is atleast fair to those who can't BE there. Now the question will be this: Will this be like AO in that if you have a small guild, you might as well not even bother?
  9. Dear Whoever Is the Costume Designer,

Will you marry me? I won't tell my fiance, I promise...

    Luffs,

    Me!

P.s. Plaid Skirts! OMG! I can be A Rude Girl now!
  10. Here's my two cents. The difference between bosses and Lts is somewhat odd at the moment. Bosses are more than just noticably harder. I can take on a large group of yellows with a couple orange Lts with my spines scrapper, but put me up against just ONE boss and it is more difficult than that group. I don't mind bosses being harder, but they aren't just harder. They are a little bit too much harder. Most of them seem to be able to hit me for half my HP, sometimes twice in a row. Which, again, sure they are bosses, BUT again the discrepancy (man I just cannot spell) is a little bit too much. Just IMHO, not quitting the game or anything. Luckily I duo most of the time and have been able to deal with bosses with very careful planning.

    Tanker Update

    [ QUOTE ]
Sounds like an interesting solution. Although you stated that you're not sure if the increasing Tanker damage will approach that of a scrapper, I suggest at least considering no hard-coded upper limit (though rate of increase might slow).

That way, if a group is having a long hard fight against an AV (say he's barely out-healing their damage output), the Tanker will eventually be able to take him out, if he can just hang in there and outlast him...

    [/ QUOTE ]

No hard coded upper limit = Herding Heaven. There HAS to be some sort of limit. You could have a tank sitting in one place with someone continually bringing more and more mobs to them increasing how much damage, so they can in turn kill more and more mobs. Bleh.

Also, being that I play scrappers almost exclusively, I feel very possesive about scrappers being the AV / Boss killers. The idea that a tank just needs to last a certain amount of time to be able to take out an AV / Boss makes me wary. There is room in the game for both ATs, but I would prefer if scrappers kept their place.
