Actually, farmers help the economy too. They're more prolific in the amount of swag dropped on the market, increasing availability.

Yes, this means they have more money to make stupid-huge bids with. Talk to some marketeers too. Several of them have so much inf they have to have multiple toons just to hold it all.

The devaluation of inf you're currently seeing isn't the fault of farmers. This is a side-effect, intentional or otherwise, of the implementation of the merit and ticket system.

Disneyworld in Orlando hires people dirt cheap. I mean not even $10 an hour. They do house and feed alot of students though. The point is for such meanial pay the cig sweeper has incredible patience. He's asked on average 63 times a day where Space Mountain is. Every single time he answers politely with the directions. Thats not a patience thru great character, but simply knowing each person really doesnt know.

You've got that half right. But your solution is to consolidate it down to three or four servers that are ALL overcrowded?

It is NOT the fault of the other servers that one or two are overcrowded. And there's no guarantee that if servers WERE consolidated, that we'd see any real movement of characters OFF those busy servers.

Again, if you desire a highly crowded server, your best bet is to move your characters off to said busy server. The people on the less populous servers LIKE it that way.

I wonder if we could get a copy of the "Reasons why server mergers are undesireable" stickied and locked. Then, when people ignore it, we can simply provide the link back to it and move on.

Right now Virtue and Freedom are the only flush servers. If there were only six servers or five then the "quiet" would be maintained minus the desolation factor. Seriously today on Protector nobody was on Perigrine Island. Ghost town.

If it's any help (probably not, but oh well), it's not really directed at you per-se.

As has been pointed out, this suggestion comes up frequently enough and a bit of easy searching can find it for you.

Also, as has been pointed out, that there are LOTS of negatives to a server merge. Some of this is stuff people are NOT willing to put up with.

In short, if you want to play on a more populous server, go play on those servers. Most of the people playing on the less-busy servers like it that way.

The BIG problem is, how does is cope with people in-game e-mailing people out-of-game?

Something like that could be VERY badly exploited by spammers.

Granted, the amount of damage they could do would be limited (as the in-game mail client is very rudimentary), but still. I SERIOUSLY doubt NCSoft would want to be tagged as a spam house.

The thing is, AE is about a week old.

The fact is, it takes time for the devs to play through these arcs. And they gotta work too.

Divide out 1000 arcs over a period of 365 days. You're talking about 2.5 arcs a day. We're already above this IIRC.

Good information, and not to rain on anyone's parade, but what happens if an upcoming patch/nerf/whatever BREAKS a DC arc?

How does one fix that?
