    Pointillism Man :P

Seriously what about tron lines as a aura. Something that floats above the skin of the toon.

On the subject of eye auras, Goblin Queen (sorry, I can't find your post, but I've read it) has asked for eye glows that don't clip with hats. This can be a little tricky, since the tech that would usually push the glows in front of a hat's brim also pushes them behind the back of the head, when the character is viewed from the back.

Creating a very small eye aura may be the answer to both of your dilemmas, however. I'll keep it in mind for future auras.
If you're adding eye auras can you make one that's static. I'm pretty sure that all the ones that we have are kind of pulsie. (I'm not sure that there's not because my PC kind of went plewy and I can't check.) Anyway you never see and of the animated super heroes with pulsie eyes and if you had it in real life it would be kind of annoying. I know there's a face or two that are kind of like that (Organic Armor Face and a supernatural one thats non glowing) but there all to... I don't know busy or situational. What we need is just a simple glow that can be added to anything.

And I'm not shure if this is the right thread for this but is there anyway we could get the costome change emots to function like reguler emotes? Just the same efect but without changing the costomes or having a recharge time lag.

We don't need this brain-dead A.I. 'nanny' telling us to play nice, because the players have always managed that themselves. Instead, all it's doing is screwing over the legit players.

Personally? I'd say remove commons from the chance for reward. That way people get the stuff thats actually hard to get, rather than the stuff you can get with contemptuous ease.
You see them getting kicked. That would be news to me I never see that happen. That might happen in a normal team but in a league no one has the time to monitor anybody else to determine who is or isn't doing what. The only time anyone was kicked on any league I have ever bin on in whine they clearly had the Lambda temp powers but weren't using them, was to stupid to activate league chat or listen to broadcasts, and couldn't be PMd. In a BAF unless they stay in one spot the whole game no one will ever notice.
  4. Glowing eyes. And I mean a static glow. All we have now is this pulsey sort of glows and while that might look good as part of a super power it's not if you what it as a normal aspect off your toon. In real life that sort of effect would be annoying.
Also please note that some of the eye glows don't realy sit on the eyes but rather in front of them. Like by an inch or so.

This isn't the costume thread this is for FX as in effects. The flashy glowie bits you see in attack and auras.

Once I found the invasion event, I was able to move in and attack maybe three times within the span of 60 seconds.

Devs, unless you guys fix your server architecture, don't do this type of event. Your servers can't handle it, and it's just going to aggravate people that try to participate in this event.

There is a recent MMO that just came out (if I recall, we're not allowed to name it, so I won't but it's about planar invasions through rifts) that handles invasions SPECTACULARLY. Not only do the invasions not require admins/GMs to hand-hold through it, it has invasion chatter of the NPCs during minor invasions it's merely text, but for major (or epic) invasions the NPCs have voices (maybe not the best voice actors, but hey!). Their servers can support 100s of players all attacking the same giant creatures without the server running into several seconds worth of delay when trying to activate abilities. In addition, these invasions give out some of the best rewards in the game (for level appropriate characters).

What's my point about this other MMO? They set the bar for invasion events. Either step up to that bar in CoH, because I know guys can do it if you really wanted, or don't do invasion events, and utilize something else that CoH is actually good at.

Anyways, I had a good chuckle at how this event was implemented once I got logged in, since I can't really RP due to the admin spam, I'm going to head off to another game. (Brink or maybe that other MMO).
Yes yes. Fix this please. This was even worse that you describe. Not only did we have to bounce zones to find them but the events was zone instance specific. If it was in Talos 1 thin that didn't mean it was in Talos 2 exc.
  7. I've herd that the energy blaster power set was originally going to be water power. Well looking at it now that's what it looks like to me and not realy energy. It would be nice if it could be remade or added to look more like Anime style energy beams. DBZ martial type, Scifi tech type fired from a weapon, or Nanoha type fired from a magic circle.

    Adding elemental auras to weapons.

Pure energy weapons. Not with a solid handle (saber-ish) but pure energy like the fire and ice swords powers.

"power pool and ancillary pool power customization" This is the big outstanding one.
  8. Congrats you've done something incredibly foolhardy. Did you know that GMs originally didn't scale they had a set level just like ordinary monsters. High level tanks defeated them solo all the time. The GMs didn't like that. In fact the whole Monster scaling system was created just to prevent that. Doing what you did is the same as asking them to buff all GMs to include pets as part of there scaling. If that happens I'll be sure everybody know who to blame. :P

Then you make a special badge available but ONLY to those who will not otherwise be occupied on Memorial Day Weekend (like, just for example, helping a spouse celebrate their parents' 50th wedding anniversary).

Guys... April First was at the beginning of LAST month...

(P.S. Yes, I know you said you'd repeat the badge opportunity “in a few months,” but nonetheless...)
You could always cheat. Launch COH early in the morning and leave it running. All you need to do is set your computer to not auto shutdown and enter a mission to keep from being auto logged off.
  10. I'm not talking about allowing them to port to opposing side zones since I'm sure there are valid story resins to prevent that. I'm talking about a space time portal that will allow access to Crimora and Pretoria. As it stands those are the only zones that it's still hard/confusing to get to.

I'm not sure that would be a good thing to do at this time. Can you imagine double the number of people crammed into the RWZ base. It would be better if they wait until that new zone there working on gets launched. Since it almost has to be cooperative.

It's ironic for me because yesterday I was having a conversation with my best friend about all of the above mentioned story lines (Ouro, Arachnos, Well of Furies, Letter Writer, Coming Storm) plus a few others (Hamidon, Malta, 5th Column) as being unfinished, not fleshed out fully, or simply abandoned. To be frank, I felt they were half-***** as a result of being left unfinished or ignored for so long.
You want every storyline completed with no loose threads? What comicbooks have you bin reading. There are always things left open. Some are picked up months, even years later. Long after the average reader has completely forgotten about them.

Not necessarily. Players have bin burning through a lot of inf via incarnate crafting.

Considering that would require altering most of not all related NPC groups in all the missions that is hardly the easiest way to do anything. The easiest way would be to revamp one of the old unused zones like boomtown and plop a large scale interdimensional breach right down the middle of it. Have Praetorian whatsits poring out of it. Maybe set up something like the mother ship raid for it.

Could be. I like my idea better.
  19. "Growing up the tree." I know they will be adding more power paths besides the current 4 but that implied they will be adding something like Vary Rare+ slots. I know that's not what they probably intended but I do like the idea.
  20. I definitely remember hearing that it wasn't bit it was back around issue 3 so maybe I just misunderstood or they changed it.
  21. Great if everybody knows what there doing; and if they are paying attention to things other than the fight, and if they can even see that someone is in trouble under all the other attacks. Oh and if there's more than one tank. And if the others can successfully hold the AV in place. How often has all these conditions bin met. Meh 50-50. But there is no way you can know that they will be coming in to a battle.
Much the same argument was made in the Brute forum this is, almost, the exact same answer.
If a AV fallows you YOU are the one to blame. No one else.
  22. No but I could be thinking of super speed and fly. Still with one of the booster pack runs nether is necessary much less both. That kind of speed is even almost useless when teaming.
  23. Copied and Edited from my posts in the tank and brute boards:

Backing off to avoid being sequestered?
Good idea UNLESS YOU'RE TRYING FOR THE BADGE!!!
There is a badge for keeping the AVs at there original spawn point. http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Gotta_Ke...eparated_Badge
    It's necessary for the Master's Badge. http://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Master_of_the_B.A.F._Badge
    You run THEY WILL FALLOW.
So if anyone mentions making a run for the master badge you just stand there and take your lumps. Your a Tank it's what your built for or your a Brute it's what your, more or less, built for.

I apologies for all the shouting but since there is a whole lot of threads giving the same incomplete advice I needed to get my point across.
