And along with what I stated, there is in fact some versions of it that are bad, and need to be fixed, chances for KB where you want something KB'd and it doesn't because oops, your RNG didn't like you. Powers like gale, frag grenade and any other power that has a chance for KB needs to get off the fence and either be KB or no KB. Chance for knock back is even more troublesome than just plain knock back, with plain knock back you at least know what's going to happen.

Quote:So spawn specific mobs for specific power sets just so they can feel like they're bein' useful...that...I don't even know how to properly reply to that except that I died a little on the inside. KB isn't inherently bad, but what I will you what is horrible. Knock backs that are random, see gale and hurricane. They work a percentage of the time then when you want them to knock back they don't. That drives me crazy. PBaOE knock backs on a melee toon isn't fun. Some people like them I understand, but they drive me insane. While I know very specific positioning can fix said situations by takin' the time to hop around and get the enemies just right so I can knock them back and not have everyone get annoyed with me, buttttt 90% of the time if I spent all that time I'd be attacking only a handful of mobs as the rest would be dead by that point. Woo, I got to aoe 3 enemies. That is why I said these mobs should use the same mechanic that is used for cysts and quantams when a Keld is on the team. It makes things spawn in all missions. That way you never know when your going to need KB or not. It encourages the idea that some KB is always a good thing to have.
I dislike the idea of this set being unique, or requiring this set to change a power that I think has great potential into something more useful in my eyes. I'd really love the ability to scale the KB I'm doing to the currently max allotted for that power. But I realize that'd be way to much time investment when they'd much more prefer to put out something newer for people to look at and play with.
Long story short, it's a quick fix for people who dislike KB. -
Quote:I think most of everyone is missin' the point. You're not actually flirting with her. The point of the grifter was stated to stop her from gettin' to her location. Think of it this way, you're on your way to your office and some person stops to have a chat with you, then they start trying to flirt with you when you turn them down they start makin' some really nasty remarks. You get pretty ticked off and storm off and forget what you were doing. Thus the grifter regardless of sexual orientation has done their job by throwing the mark off.Her judgment and tolerance where in question well before she made that statement.
What is weird, is being a gay male as the grifter...
Playing a character who... is playing a female... who's hitting on a girl. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with it, but it's funny. -
Quote:Or lets ignore the fact 3 small yellows, or 2 medium yellows or 1 large and above also gives you what you need and we have ways to convert inspirations into those on the fly.Gross over-generalization of what I'm seeing, but still:
Before insta-Snipe:
Build Up and Aim are awesome and we must build for recharge so we can use them again and again. Moar Damage!!
After insta-Snipe:
So much work. Can we get some easier way to insta snipe? Because clicking Build Up and Aim is such a burden and I hate doing it. -
-
Are stalkers and scrappers going to see the changes all via the patron pools? Will they have the same tohit threshold?
-
Has there been any talk of the melee ATs that have snipes? Obtaining that amount of tohit on them would be fairly difficult.

I've made some of my best friends on this game. I laughed, I cried, I irritated people, laughed some more, cried from laughing so hard. I play many other games but at the end of the day I'd come back to CoH again and again. People live life the way want to. I have my niche they have theirs.

I certainly hope that hunter class isn't OP in comparison to all the other classes, like some sorta raging warrior, and a kung fu mastah.

Quote:If said statement is true either way seems that cimeroans would probably be superior since it has the best single target dps among all the lore pets.Tyrant has two separate powers buffing his regen debuff resistance. One has a power of 80%, the other 87%. Which means his regen debuff resist shows as capped at 100%, and thus the Longbow Lore are actually not doing anything special. Though, I've heard at least one person suggest that the formula for stacking the -regen resists makes it (1-(1-.8)*(1-.87)), which gives him 97.4% regen debuff resist. If that's true, it would still mean that the 500% debuffs from those Longbow ends up at 13%, and barely touch him at all.
-
Quote:Well -50% per attack and assuming tier 4 drones, they have 4 to 5 attacks, each one does -50% albeit for only 5 seconds so yeah, since the Longbow debuff lasts for 30 seconds, long run, it will probably have a bigger impact. But something to note is that Robotic Drones does have slightly better single target dps. Long story short, I think both robotic drones and longbow are viable options.the robotic drones do only max of -50% regen per attack, longbow is the only lore pet that does -500% on the attack even if its only a chance it can still easily stack up to -2000% regen because the debuff lasts for 30 sec and the attack is ~4 sec
i wouldnt use diamagnetic anyway even at a 4 stack vs an AV it would do less than -25% regen which even 1 use of twilight grasp or transfusion could beat
degenerative or reactive would prolly be better to go, degenrative does -max hp as well as additional DoT and reactive does -resist and more DoT
you are right though that more than maybe 4-5 people should not have the same interface due to stacking cap -
Out of curiosity, why all longbow? I get that plasma blast from the mech is massive but it's 30% chance, wouldn't robotic drones that have guaranteed regen debuff and with enough of them probably have a better effect? Althogh a 30% chance for -500% regen every 4 seconds is still decent odds with that many Longbow.
Now what I really don't understand is everyone equipping diamagnetic. To my understanding an interface debuff can only stack a total of 4 times total. One person could readily keep 4 stacks on Tyrant. Honestly you'd want as broad of a spectrum of interfaces to have a broad spectrum of debuffs placed on him. Reactive for -res so you're hitting harder and fire dot, diamagnetic for -regen, degenerative to lower his HP cap which also lowers his regen and adds on some toxic dot. -
