  1. As the caster, do I have to be in melee range to recieve the gain from all other affected foes? Or can I be at range to recieve it? How about allies near me at range? I read the description on mids and I still am confused by it. Thanks for the help.

    Wasn't sure what you meant by this till I looked it up on the prohibited stuff. So if my post goes unanswered for a period of time, how do I go about asking it again? Post in another forum? Bumping was the only thing that got a reply. Thanks for the response however.

    Respec bugged?

    Yesterday I tried to respec 2wice and after finishing both times I got a box msg saying that they had failed. Tried to do it again this morning (same toon) and game crashed. So is it bugged? Yesterday was with Jack and today was the freespec.

    I currently have 2 issues that I am dealing with atm.

    (1). I recently moved and my desk top (Vista 32) had sat around for about 45 days w/o use. When I finally got moved in, got mah internet service and hooked everything up, I got an error msg saying that my boot mngr was missing. No matter how many times I deleted/re-installed the OS, the boot mngr would still be missing. So I re-nstalled XP Pro. (2). But when I did my ethernet drivers were missing. Foolishly contacted microsoft and they told me I had to have the driver disk (which I don't have...grrr...) to re-install or take it to a computer wiz. B4 I do that and waste money on a potentially easy fix, should I just try to re-install the Vista and see if that fixes it? Thx in advance.
  7. I used to be the +rchg guy with my sets, but for some reason lately, I have wanted the challenge of gettting as much +def out of the sets as I could when I start from ground zero. I would love to have that perma PA build that you have on u're ill/rad guide, but then I'd feel too dependent on them, (not to say that u are) but then maybe I should be? I feel challenged when they're not there and if I can survive till the next summons, then I fell like I've accomplished a great deal. Who know. I've respec's to burn and I'm sure that I will.

    I think I'm gonna keep SI since the drop off isn't that much and maybe I can learn to use it accordingly.

    P.S. That was an incredibly well detailed, long guide. But I liked it.
  8. Since you've posted u're build, I've been goin over it trying to make it "mine". And this is what I've come up with. Alot of it I have left it alone. Made some changes, not much, but it's how I would have done it had I prior knowledge of this build.

    I Have a question about Sup Inv's def no.s though. Once you attack or are seen, your def no.s drop right? And if so, by how much? Cuz I'm thinking if it's a significant amount I may just drop it altogether. With that heavy end costing toggle, my end will drop pretty fast if I leave it on during a fight whilst spamming my attacks. Now granted, I will have my pets out, but my end will already have taken a huge hit just by summoning them. And I know, Iknow. Bring some blues. I get that. But I will still burn through them pretty fast as well. So lemme know whatcha think. Thanks again.

  9. Would you mind posting your build? I have a lvl 33 Ill/Ta build and I'm a bit overwhelmed as to how the slotting should go. Been useing mids to try and get something going, but I'm not sure what to go for. I was thinking of taking stone mastery for more dmg and the +s/l def and going from there. Thanks in advance.

  11. This is my 1st tank so I just assumed that more def to all was a good way to go if not the standard for tanking. If this is a good build as is then I'm ok with it. I was having a difficult time trying to get more aoe and ranged anyways. Thanks for the response.

  13. Been foolin around with this build the past few days and I just didn't like the total +def I have with my new proposed build. While the end rec handles better than any other previous build I have had, fighting +3 and 4 rikti and farming the wall in cim, left me wanting more. Alot more.

    I remembered reading Des's link on her def based dm/da scrapper before I posted this and thought I'd give it a try. I love the extra def that she has in it, but the extra .24 end drain and loss of .30 end/s has me wondering how this build would do? So I ask the number crunchers (as I am most certainly not one) out there to crunch some numbers and plz let me know if the new2 build is worth wasting another respec on, or should I just take my lumps and move on with the build I have now? As with the OP, I can't figure out how to export both COMPLETE builds. BUT THERE IS A LINK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE 1ST BUILD FOR THE 2ND BUILD!!!!!!!

    Hover is actually supposed to have 3 slotted blessing of the zephyr and not the 2 lotg's and red fortune in it. Saved at the wrong time

    Some general observations &amp; suggestions:

    1) This is a hugely expensive build. Well in exceess of 2 billion. Not only are you leaning heavily on purple sets to get you where you want to be, but you've selected every single invention set &amp; proc that is difficult to acquire in the best of times. You'd be lucky to even locate half of these, let alone be able to afford them, without spending weeks/months keeping this toon in drydock. For what you're planning to spend, you're not really getting the biggest bang for your buck. If I were you, I'd go back &amp; review the build that Desmodos has come out with for her D3 Scrapper. You'll see she's getting alot higher utility for the expense.

    2) Your currently listed endurance usage takes into account Conserve Power, which is only up less than half of the time even with a 117.5% recharge. This is scewing your endurance usage calculations.

    3) You have a high reliance on +Recovery procs for your endurace recovery. On paper this looks good. In practice the odds of you actually achieving that recovery rate aren't mathematically significant.

    4) You've taken both swift &amp; hurdle. I can see why, but honestly you'd be better off dropping SS &amp; taking SJ, thus freeing up a power choice.

    5) I'm really surprised that you don't have Crippling Axe Kick selected &amp; slotted. Not being a MA expert, I was under the impression that was a key attack. Moreover, if you're taking Oppressive Gloom, that would allow you to Mezz Lut &amp; Boss units.

    6) It's pretty clear you've selected &amp; 5-slotted Laser Beam Eyes to give you a place to install an Apocalypse set. Although it sure it nifty to be able to equip another rare set, I really don't see the utility of this power or those bonuses anywhere in your build.

    7) I'm mystified by your choice to install a damage set in Dark Regeneration. Not only that...you have 0 Endurace Reduction enhancement in it. Of all the powers in DA, this is the biggest Endurance hog you have.

    8) You've made alot of choices focused on recharge speed, which I don't really understand. Your entire secondary is toggles except for your heal - and that has a fast recharge. Your primary attacks are all quick-hitting attacks. There really is no benefit from a passive 45% recharge bonus that justifies the expense of the inventions.

    While I agree with everything you said and I appreciate your helpful questions and observations, if you had scrolled down and read the rest of the posts, you might have realized that this is the old build I want to respec out of.

    I have everything in my current build that you see in the 1st post. I actually was very proud of this build for quite some time simply because I got everything I set out to get. I am not a numbers guy so I didn't realize that my poor toggle slotting was killing me and the +rchg wasn't helping. A few months of playing him (and altitis never letting me go) after he was completed made me realize I ndd to do something different. So I came here.

    It did take me about 6-8 months IIRC to get all of it but wasn't even close to 2 billion. Might have hit around 1.2, 1.3 at most. And back then, I was pvp'n a lil more than casual with this build. I did ok. Not great, but I was fine with that. I was under the impression at that time that +rchg/acc was what I needed. I don't pvp anymore, not since i13 which is why I want to dust him off.

    I respec'd out of CaK awhile back, b4 the animation time was changed and now I am including it for that reason. However, it is a dmg/imm/-spd/-fly power and not stun. Unless it was changed recently.

    Laser beam was taken to include the sets. Again, I thought I ndd the bonuses for pvp back in the day.

    The slotting in DR was from lack of use of the power/understanding it and the reg bonus I got out of it. I have always hated it even though it is a great heal, but I just hated to use it knowing my end was gonna disappear in a blink of an eye.

    There is an updated build that loses almost all the +reg/hp/rchg/acc to gain more end p/s and more def. I should be respec'n it this wknd and test it out shortly there after.

    To try and solve u're end issues, take a look at my post MA/DA love plz It's just a few down from this one. I went from burning about 2.3 end/s I think it was, maybe more, to just over 1.3 end/s. Alot of great advice was given to me there and the build looks better then before I posted. You won't have that much acc or rchg bonus if you go that route, but you won't have game breaking end issues with it either and your def will be decent. And I took OG as well. I have never liked the power (stupid red egg), but I have always taken it since it is a good minion mitigation power.

    Try going into the combat attribute window. You can view (and monitor) both end recovery and end usage. I almost always have both being monitored.

  19. I thought I had put the stdfst kb in tough, but I now remember removing it to put in the end red io. I'll have to rework some things to see what I can get. Not sure if I want to take out an IO from stam and health though. That would drop me from 4.01 rec/s to 3.89, unless it's not gonna hurt me any.
  20. Will this keep me above 4 end gain per second? If it's not gonna kill me to drop a few end per/s than I don't have an issue doing it.
  21. If I do this, my over all end gain per second drops below 4 per second. Granyed it's not big but one o my silent goals was to try and get that to above 4. Not sure if that's game breaking, but it is a small dip.

    If I go with this build, it's gonna hurt to respec as it's gonna be difficult to decide what to keep and what to lose to the respec demon. Any other suggestions out there?
  23. Ultimately that is what I will have to do. Or stick the ones I can in the the inherent powers like rest and sprint and such and then respec again. But yah, gonna have to waste a few respecs to save inf.
