I was one of the tanks who used to herd every mob in Perez Park.
I never did train them onto someone though.
I leveled my first toon through most of the 40s using the Eden trial exploit.
(farming the AVs, disband, restart, rinse/repeat ) Funny that the DFB is now being
used in much the same way. -

Some will be here or in All Access, some on Deviant Art (so have a free account over there if you want in
on those) and some in-game. Some will be trivia or puzzles (first to answer correct wins) others will
be costume contests etc. Just keep your eyes peeled for new threads/journal posts by me over
the weekend and make sure to take good screenshots of your characters.

Really wish you could break up the contests evenly so that people who work can participate in at least 2 events....

The best part was the spinning salute, with all the various heroes fading in and out. Gives a real feel of the awesome creativity of the players inherent in the game.

What's hard to understand is that they know this IP wouldn't really compete with anything they have coming down the pipe. Most of NCsoft properties are fantasy-based and are hardly losing market share to any of the other two superhero MMOs out there. Arbitrarily holding on to the IP for scorched earth sake really makes no business sense, especially considering the fact that the IP was still profitable. Also, even though GW2 is a Korean game, ArenaNet and Carbine Studios are located in the US along with half of their (non) Asian branch offices, so the idea that NCsoft is pulling out of the US market doesn't seem plausible either. There doesn't seem to be any slow down of the development of the new games they have coming down the pipe, so why avoid so many other low hanging targets for cutting back and focus on City of Heroes and Paragon Studios for the chopping block?

I was watching an interview with one of the designers for Marvel's upcoming MMORPG.
He basically said "Why would you want to play as "Captain Firepants" when you can play as a "known" superhero, like Spiderman".
He ... just ... doesnt ... get ... it.
I'd much rather play as Captain Firepants - because he is MY creation. Because he is an extension of my personality and expression of my creativity.
I dont want to be locked into someone elses superhero design and be just like everyone else.
