They might be going for the "bug-wings" Angel from Grant Morrison's run. I dunno.
Definitely interesting that they're using the classic blue and yellow for the uniforms, and that Havok and Mystique are in the team line-up. Not entirely sure what Azazel is doing in this movie, but... *shrug* -
Still not the most embarassing super hero sell-out by far.
Not even close.
I guess if Wondie's going to sell makeup, it might as well be high quality makeup, at least! -
Quote:Maybe that's just what they know/can explain? I have to imagine everything they think they know will get tossed out the window when Raiden and some of the others get involved. It's an interesting take on the MK mythos to be sure.
I'm not terribly sure I like it though. The whole idea now seems to be to turn the MK thing into a Cops V Criminals to save the city thing and that's an interesting approach but it gets away from the MK story quite a bit.
Personally I like the inter-dimensional, Outworld and Edenia at war and Earth gets involved sort of stories. But Turning the Outworlders like Reptile and Baraka into homicidal maniacs instead.... It could be interesting but I just don't know.
Scorpion seems to have re-tained his back from the dead and out for Sub Zero, status, that could be cool.
Jeri Ryan could make a fun Sonya blade...
Looks like a pretty original spin on the mythos thus far, all things considered. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled, especially if they can keep up or surpass the quality they've shown so far. -
Quote:Same here. Only familiar with the original characters/property on the most basic level, but I thought it was fun, action packed, and serious enough when it needed to be.Just got back from seeing it.
I am not a Seth Rogen fan, but I had a good time.
I also think this might be one of those movies that really benefits from seeing it with a theater full of other people. Can't speak for the 3D, but I honestly don't think I can justify paying for the odd IMAX release of this flick. -
I could see it as a sort of cross between X-Men: Evolution and Scooby Doo. Y'know, some kind of mystery is afoot on the campus of Gotham High, and nobody would ever expect pretty-boy rich kid Bruce Wayne or the library nerd Barbara Gordon to try and solve it...!
Yeah, there's no way you can go into this sort of premise with a straight face.
A fun little idea, still, though I can certainly understand why it never led to anything. If people complained about the whole "no tights, no flights" thing in "Smallville"... -
Holy Prometheus plotholes, Batma--er, Green Lantern!
It's your weekly recommended dosage of JUSTICE!!!
V-Minus 35 -
Back when he was gearing up for his review of the abysmal multi-part waste that was Amazons Attack, internet comic reviewer Linkara posted a video about the history of Wonder Woman (including her Golden Age creator) that I highly recommend to anyone who's a fan of the character or, conversely, doesn't understand the character. I suggest taking a look, since I believe it's relevant to the topic at hand.
Here you go! -
And his alt mode is even the were-car from "The Honking"!!

Remember, any sufficiently complex magic is indistinguishable from technology.

Yup. Hugh Laurie for Twelve, and then one of the Harry Potter kids for Thirteen. I'm calling it right now!

Avengers: The Children's Crusade #4 of 9 - Wiccan vs. Doctor Doom as the Young Avengers attempt to storm Latveria, the Avengers move in to capture the Scarlet Witch, and the wedding of Wanda Maximoff and Victor von Doom draws nigh! And on the last page... the unexpected return of the original Young Avenger.
Brightest Day #17 - Firestorm works out what happened to him/them at the end of last issue, and is hot on the heels of Deathstorm and the White Lantern. The Star Sapphires and the Hawks vs. the invasion of the Manhawks on Zamaron. And Boston Brand gets a life at last. (Gawd, Deadman and Dove are cute together.)
Batman Beyond #1 - Some terminally ill schlub decided to steal Matter Master's old wand from his job at the superweapons impound or whatever to get some payback before he dies. Meanwhile, Terry's actually managed to strike a nice balance between his normal life and his job as Batman at last. The JLU look to become a major presence in this first arc of the new ongoing series as well. -
Still waiting on today's installment for Ten, but we're up to the Ninth Doctor: The Walking Wounded.

The man with the magic gun begins his review of the series that he claims pissed him off even more than Countdown... Justice League: Cry for Justice.

This happened to me yesterday, too. I just logged out for a few hours. When I came back, the Clockwork were respawning correctly.
-
The Flash #8 - This issue spotlights Professor Zoom, the Reverse-Flash (freed from Iron Heights by Captain Boomerang at the end of #7). This one's interesting because it essentially says that he's been going back into his own past to revise his personal history in an attempt to reach the most desireable result, even though he knows he'll never be able to truly have everything the way he wants it.
Green Lantern #61 - The Butcher, the Red Entity, chooses a host. And both Atrocitus and the Spectre are hot on its trail. You'd better believe blood will be spilled a-pleanty in this one. -
I'd also highly recommend Legend of the Guardians, as long as you aren't averse to talking animals in your home sick movies.
Very fun and surprisingly intense movie.

Thanks for the info, guys. No, I'm not in a SG with that toon yet.
Guess I'll just have to wait for the devs to get around to fixing it, then. Le sigh... -
Is anyone else having issues with the Praetorian Police belt costume piece appearing on their characters? For some reason, my Praetorian PPD character's belt seems to have turned invisible. It's not showing up in either the tailor window or walking around in-game.
If it helps, yes, I do have every other Praetorian Police costume piece on the character in question. -
Just roll with it, dude.

Quote:That was indeed Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man.So tonight's new episode...
The Masters of Evil. I recognized Baron Zemo, Crimson Dynamo, Abomination, Enchantress and Executioner. The glowing purple guy I didn't recognize for most of the episode, until they called him Simon.
So, was that supposed to be Wonderman?
Dug the hell out of the strides they seem to have made toward the Kree-Skrull War storylines in the last few episodes, too. Kind of odd that they went with the Ultimate version of Captain Mar-Vell, but whatever. -
... or, as Linkara himself puts it: "Welcome to Atop the 4th Wall. And yes, Virginia, there is a 'Santa Claus Conquers the Martians' comic!"
The mind, she boggles!

Didn't they already kill off Reed (and probably a couple of the other original team members) at least once?
Yeah, I think I'll wait for the Internet to spoil who dies for me when it comes out, and whether it's worth picking up, thank you very much. -
Think that's supposed to be a tarp of some kind, actually.
Well, it looks interesting. Mostly for the fact that Megs finally seems to have broken down and got himself an Earth-based alt mode. I guess he decided disguise and hiding was pretty important after all.
