I'm seeing the crazy ragdolls, too. Started happening after the patch. I've got screenshots of heads that were rotated backwards, torsos that are twisted 180 degrees, etc. I've got shots of Freakshow that would make a Cirque du Soleil contortionist say
"oh, heck no!" then curl up in a fetal position... inside a small suitcase.
For me, it's morbid and funny. For others, it may just be morbid. In any case, I liked the old ragdoll effects better. I like the fact the devs updated to a newer version of PhysX (it's about time that part of my GeForce GTX 560 Ti saw some use), but it seems like some skeletal constraints got broke in the update.

Quote:Yes, AFAIK, you have to install the Steam client in order to get the game code. I think it's only available by going into the Steam client and right-clicking on the game then choosing "View Game CD Key". I tried to get it by logging into the Steam website, but that's a no-go.Where did you get your game code? I created an account to be able to purchase it for a friend, they created an account to receive it but when they log in to the account it doesn't show a game code anywhere. It shows no purchases at all in their Account Details.
EDIT: Nevermind. Found the answer elsewhere. You have to install their crapware Steam Client in order to be able to claim the game code. Since he and I both refuse to install Steam on our computers, I guess I'll have to start seeking a refund. Too bad, he'd have liked to be able to reactivate it and get GR on his account.
Good luck with the refund. If that doesn't work and you know someone who has Steam (and you trust them), then you might be able to re-gift it to them since your friend hasn't claimed the gift yet. Once that other person claims the gift, they can send the CD Key to whoever you need. Unfortunately, I'm not sure the re-gifting option is available on the Steam website. May only be available in the Steam client. -
I purchased it through Steam and I can tell you for sure that you do NOT have to run it through Steam. You will get a game code from Steam. Take the game code to the PlayNC website and either add it to your existing account (for the cheap month Zombie Man mentioned), or create a completely seperate account. After that, you can log in using your normal client, or via Steam.
Now, the Steam version is getting an update today. It's downloading right now. Did they finally fix it to use the NCSoft updater? Or is it actually going to update via Steam (which I think would be super sweet)? I can't wait to find out. -

I wasn't sure we were going to get a group together, but some nice Champion players joined at the last minute. Everything worked out and we had a blast. Thanks goes to my teammates. I hope we can do another one next Sunday during Double XP weekend!

Sure thing, Stray Kitten. Hope you can make it. Work/school is SO inconvenient.

Thanks, Fanged. I've known about Taskforce Tuesdays for well over a month now. Unfortunately, as much as I have tried, I just can't fit in a taskforce on a weeknight. So, I thought I would see if there is any interest in doing one on Sunday, which is about the only day I can do it.

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in running through the Sister Psyche TF this Sunday. I just need it and Citadel's TF to complete the Task Force Commander accolade, but I will probably just have time for 1 TF this Sunday. If it works out, I'd like to organize this into a weekly static group doing more TF's that I've never done before (which is most of them).

_Cherry_ and Fanged_Knight were setting up Taskforce Tuesday for the past 2 months. A new schedule is in the works. See this thread.

I just saw a Winter Lord in Talos on Champion.

Just a bit of a note for the conspiracy theorists here:
The first test of the double XP system was before the following things:
- Layoffs at NCSoft
- Release of Issue 7
- Crash of Global Chat
For it to arrive on the test server before all these things it had to be in the planning stages and internal testing for at least a couple months prior to that.

This means the double XP event is probably just marketing, or, as another post said, an effort to get Villians into the higher levels so that Hero v. Villian base raids are not one-sided.
Unless the double XP comes with some bug fixes for Masterminds (pets not following through doors, not responding to commands, etc.), I'm afraid some of my MM buddies will just be standing around soaking up the XP and infulence and not joining in the reindeer games.
