  1. longbow nullifer you get after winning your first gladiator match. i also saw someone with a longbow boss of somekind. psi based attacks. she brutalized all my attacks. not sure how you get here or her name, but there is one out there
  2. the bug to enervating field being lowered to 30% is not a bug. intended and confirmed by the devs to bring the power into line with the other I5 balancing.

Manticore...guys. If you truly listen to us. Please, at least for a partial episode, bring back Apex.

Our last vison of Apex is standing in Atlas Park, all alone, shouting, "Level 15 scrapper, looking for group!" It's kinda a sad way to end it for him.
Sure it might reflect how alot of us have lost good friends in the game and have had to continue on without them, but I'm sure there's people out there who'd like to see that he's doing alive and well.

yea, i must admit, Apex really grew on me as well. i would love to see him come back and help out in fashion, or atleast cameo apperences. the last part of the story arc Blue King really did well inmy opinion. i actually felt something towards those characters. man, it would be awesome to see Apex back somehow.
  4. wow is all i can say about the preview for the new comic. i felt more excited about reading that preview than i probably did about most the other issues of our current comic run. i can't wait to get the new comic now. and if there are more issues outside our current 1 a month, i'll be looking to pick them up as well.
  5. you guys rock out positron awesome foresight on what people want. i can't wait to try it out.

    Boss Changes

wow thanks for the update Statesman. as a lvl 35 Rad/Rad i find taking on lvl 35 bosses not that hectic. pop a few inspirations, debuff, blast away. in fact i love the new boss changes because ti actually makes it slightly challenging and a ton of fun. i was seriously getting bored with missions before the boss buff. I'm glad you are working on a solution for those that are having a hard time with these new bosses but i hope you don't take away the fun that those such as myself have with these new bosses. heck i did the respec with 6+ freak tanks spawning in groups post update 3 and my pick-up team thought it was the most fun we've had. thanks for all the effort and communication.

i don't know, one i dea that i really liked was to make enemies buff and debuff more often. i really like that idea as it adds some dynamic qualities to the mobs.

    Boss Changes

well i do enjoy the new boss changes that have occured with update 3. I did a respec trial last night with a group of people and there were 6 freak bosses per mob group that we ran into. it happened to provide for a very fun fight. We were worried going into the trial abuot the new boss HP, but with teamwork, it went just fine. I was a lvl 34 Sk'd up to 37(rad/rad defender), we had a lvl 38 tanker(invul/energy), a lvl 36 tanker(invul/SS), a lvl 36 controller(illusion/storm), a lvl 37 scrapper(claws/invul), and a lvl 36 blaster(fire/fire). and yes we were all in need of respec's definatly.

we fought freaks that were mostly purple with a few red's intermingled.(for me atleast) the rest of the group that was 36's saw all purple. the only problem we ran into was when we accidently aggro'd 3+ mobs and had about 12-15 tanks swarm us and their AoE knocked out the two healers, and then a few seconds later the scrapper and blaster. and this wasn't until we were in the terra volta mission. it all happened very quickly becuase we agrred 3+ mobs; it was our own fault, not the new uber bosses. hell we all liked the difficulty the bosses gave us. it certainly made it feel like epic battles. they weren't too hard but they weren't a cake walk either. i'm just writing this story about my experience to show how those in groups that i've been in, feel about the new boss changes. They work great in a team format.

they don't kick in until post lvl 25 which is great. it allows characters the time to get their powers they want and the powers slotted correctly. also as a Rad/Rad defender i solo a lot since i do play odd hours and i like doing story arcs, something which i don't get to do a lot of when i join a group beacuse i'm helping others with missions. (which i do a lot anyways) When i've solo'd, i have yet to run into the multiple bosses in a single mission, or a boss in a mission where there shouldn't have been. For me, a boss and his few cronies around him prove to be a great fight as the end of a story arc, hectic, life threatening, and usually an expenditure of some of my inspirations. but solo'ing, a boss and his cronies in every room can be time consuming and difficult. if that is a bug, needs to be fixed. I personally like seeing bosses intermingled in missions at times when i solo, the xp is great, but i can see where it is a problem for somepeople.

a boss and his coronies in a team of any number, shouldn't be a problem. I have yet to run into a team where it couldn't be handled. There may be a few death everyso often beacuse of unlucky streaks of hits, but tis the life. If someone is expecting to never die in this game, that's rather unrealistic. don't get pissed when you die, change tactics, call a few friend, or heaven forbid, get into a pick-up team. I've been in bad pick-up teams and i've been in great pick-up teams. The team i did the respec with the other night was pick-up, and everyone worked great together. I've had other groups in my SG mates that were more loose and sloppy.

anyways, i really have enjoyed the new boss changes. I know others that have as well. heck i'm surprised that people don't farm the new respec, everyone in my team got between 2(lvl 38 i believe)-4.5(myself) bubbles of xp out of it, and it took maybe an hour and a half to two hours to complete. that's preety damn good xp.

If there are multiple bosses spawning in missions for a solo player, (besides the named duo's at the end of some arc's) then i can see that as a problem. otherwise i strongly suggest keeping these boss changes. i find them highly enjoyable in both a teaming and solo format.
  8. eh i hop into the middle of a group and fire it off, if you have enervating field, use it and it ups the damage preety good. if yu worried abuot getting hit, lay down some rad infection first, then hop in and irradiate them. works wonders.
  9. agreed, the prevention of them falling is my first priority. but it does happen at times and i like that fallout adds a little flair to thing. i use it so little i'm sure there is something that could be more productive but it's fun and as i said, there are a few guys i play with that like getting it used. heck if you want to be evil about it, you could probably power lvl a guy with a dead body preety efectivly. Tp him into mob, boom, take care of the rest of the guys, do it all over again. no threat ever to your buddy because he's dead

as for actually number i have 2 damage SO's in there at equal lvl. as for actual hard number i'll have to spend some time on the Test server with a willing 'partner' to test it out more toughly.
  10. hey i noticed you had one thing missing, which was fallout. well now you can say that you've meet a Rad/Rad defender that has taken that power. and while i don't get to use it that often (it's actually a target on a teammates dead body) it is an insanely powerful attack. it's AoE isn't large but it isn't to small either. i only get to use it a few times a week so i don't have precise numbers but against Freak Tanks/luits that were 32-33 (i was 30) it did about 300 damage to each and it easily hit 7+ freaks. every so often somebody will get taken down around the edges, well a quick teleport to the middle, boom, rez and almost everything is dead around him or her. i've actually had a few suicidal scrappers that love for me to use this power and try to find something that will kill them. if i get to use it again i'll post some more info up on here another day.
