Wow Jeremy does outstanding work.
Quick one huh? If that's the result, maybe I should hurry mine a bit more. -
/ignores the above visually impaired poster...
Great work on the shading/highlights.
I also get a kick out of Toxa's dye job. -

Looking good so far Rox. A couple of things tho, personally I'd thin down the legs a bit and also the midtorso. all in all it's looking good. heh we should do a collab some timeyou draw and I'll ink and color
. but seriously keep it up man should look great once it's done

Foreshortening was my first impression as well. I think you're great from the shoulders foreward, but the waist, legs and left forearm could all be a tad thinner.
I love the layout. This is going to be very nice. -

Nice job! That must've taken a while to place all those spines...
[/ QUOTE ]
Placing the spines wasn't that bad. Learning how to create them took forever. I made them as AutoCAD solids in 12 segments on separate layers> exported as 3DS file> imported to Poser> grouped the 12 parts in Setup Room> Created and placed Bones per part. Once the first spine was done right, I sized & bent it to a good position and made a figure from it; the rest was smooth sailing.

Is there someone in the background? I could swear I see a gatling gun back there...

You have good eyes. The Supertrooper from the Poser Content CD looks alot like Malta Tech OPs so I threw a few into the scene. The two piled on the ground behind GE were nearly cropped out of the scene and all three are muted a bit with the airbrush.

Are those Photoshop glows or is that an in-Poser set of glows?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm a Poser n00b, I've no idea if it can make glowing auras. The Regen and Hasten glows were both done in Corel PhotoPaint.
FYI - I fixed the latest link to go to my new DeviantART page. It's twice the res of the old one. -

The updated version is a VAST improvement. I'm really diggin' that strong chin of his - it has tons of character.

A quote from the Jedi-Master himself!!! I hope you don't mind if I bronze this one
Thanks for the encouragement Douglas, that gives me hope. The Face Room was the first thing I did on Grave and I couldn't believe the dozens of facial features I could change to capture his personallity. -
Thank you all for the kind words and helpful critique. Please excuse the huge delay in my follow-through, I've done all my practice during breaks and lunches, but wasted most of them trying to customize clothing (with no success).

Awesome stuff, but I recommend going into the settings and upping the resolution for the rendering. It'll take longer to do, but there won't be any jagged edges in the finished product.
Also, I think it would be better with a different colored background. Blue just doesn't give it the oomph it could have.
Great job, nonetheless.

Today's version: Grave Enigma
A more imposing background not only adds "oomph" but also gives the post work more impact. Photobucket's hosting seems to be my bottleneck with the image size... any suggestions for better hosting sites? I'll be eternally greatful.

Another great job DJ.
I couldn't help but think of Def Lepard when viewing Briton's cape... then I hear a radio ad for their concert tonight a half mile from here. Eerie man, eerie.
Please post more news on your Poser tutorial when it's ready! I would love to learn from the master Jedi. So far I've picked up Practical Poser 6 and found it very helpful. -
Don't laugh... I'm still learning the ropes
The Regen green-glow still needs to be added, but now that I got the spines figured out I couldn't wait to post him.

Okay, and to keep you all up to date, here's the first touch of color on the piece. Still got a ways to go, but at least you can see red now

Very cool stuff. I can't wait to see it when you're done. -

Finished! Archmage Final
Let me know what you guys think!

I especially like your use of lighting. Great job!
Did you do this in Painter? -

Howdy, everyone! I just wanted to show the WIP of the Rowr sketch. It's still in the rough stage (there's some anatomy issues I'm not happy with), but overall I like the piece. I know it's a bit light, but....it's a sketch after all.
You can see it here!

Outstanding! I can't wait to see it shaded. -
Outstanding once again master Jedi! You're work inspires me to keep plugging away with my new Poser 5 program, though I'm a few bugs shy of posting my Spine/Regen main.
Gratz Star on passing the bar... if you look that gorgeous in person the good people of Louisiana will soon turn to a life of crime in hopes you will represent them, lol. -

OOooo Celsia, that works GREAT!!!!I've also started positioning the tip with the eraser, then holding the space with my finger and putting the drawing point down XD
But after HOURS AND HOURS of work, I managed to color in a verrry simple little drawing. Be kind
[/ QUOTE ]
That looks great! Stick with it and you'll never go back to the "brick on a string".
A way to combat your positioning problem - I always draw with fingers hovering over CTRL & Z keys to wipe aways any stray shots as soon as I see them.
BTW, Painter Classic is a very nice program. I got familiar with Painter and my tablet through a great "Parrots tutorial" at www.msnusers.com/DigitalArtBoard (I hope the address is right - they blocked it years ago here at work). Fred gives lots of great tips in this tutorial, and it takes just a couple hours. -
Great job explaining each choice Tanzier.
You mention dropping Spectral Wounds due to lack of damage in the late game. What power would you swap it for? I find with containment it makes a very good finishing blow... my chain is Blind>Fire Bolt>SW.
Thanks for a great guide, we certainly have had a shortage since ED.
