What a bargin... what do you plan to do with 3 dozen balls?

    So this is still ongoing?

I'd like to submit my main hero then, Shadow-Rush. Level 50 Martial Arts/Super Reflexes/Body Mastery Scrapper. His travel power is primarily Super Jump, but can also run at almost superspeed.

Not sure what you meant by signature move, but if I had to pick, it would be Martial Art's Eagles Claw.

For screenshots, there's tons of them in the comic I made for him in the sig below. I also have a large front view shot of him made into a wallpaper in the sig as well.

    Very cool comic man
Yea it's still ongoing. All the painting is done on breaks and lunches during my work week, so each piece takes 2-3 weeks to finish. This week I'm taking a break, so before the last freebee is chosen, I welcome any fresh new faces to this thread
  3. I like the poses and suite, but the helmet shading is great!
  4. Could it have been that shot the Paparazzi took during my last visit to Founders Falls? Dealing with rabid groupie chicks is only fun for so long 'till it gets out of hand
  5. Gratz on a cool picture. I love the cops' expressions.

    Next?
For those of you who've missed the first two drawings, it's not too late to enter. Follow the instructions in the original post, and I'll wait though this weekend to select my third and final victim. I've not decided which media will be used either...

Thank you all for giving me so much to work with.

I liked it too. But then I simply liked Kilo the first time I read the concept.

    Good job Graver

When your offering, how can I refuse. if you like you can pick any of my toons in my gallery in my sig but here's two of which either would be great.

I'm sorry I can't offer Graver's quality of work, and you're not the first to confuse our names . I've even considered a name change, but having been Grave Enigma since Beta, it's hard to give up.

If you want to be included in the pool though. Please post in the linked Selection Thread. I'll study everyone posted there on Sunday night.

Thanks Crestent, LJ and Kilo - I'm glad you like it

A call out to anyone interested in the last freebee project. The Selection Thread has been bumped for any late entries to offer their screenshots. You'll have the rest of this week to add your hero to the current list.

However may I recommend oil instead? Or even better, light rivulets of water falling down...

Hmmm so.... about those dodgers *whistling and runs*

I'll pick my third victim this weekend.
  11. That's the best Kilo I've seen yet!
    Great work LJ.

I [censored] love that angle soo soo much. I also envy your 'cross hatching' which my skills lack greatly in. I'm +watching you on DA!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Thanks Dirtwolf. You've got a cool style going already, and I imagine any cross-hatching might clash with it. Thanks for the :+devwatch:

I absolutely love it. This is one of my favorite Kilotonnage pieces. Black and White or Color its fantastic. Thanks so much!

You're welcome Kilotonnage, thanks for the opportunity.

Very cool! I like the angle and crater.

Thanks Wolffe - I love the Footstomp power, and couldn't imagine any better angle to display it.

I dont think it needs to be colored... the style and the black and whites go perfectly!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Igniitus, you're not alone. Even after the colors were finished on my Radey Ayte illustration, I got comments that people preferred the black and white version. That's all good. I'm displaying each with the intent to offer all three as tiers of service: Sketch, B/W Illustration or Colored Illustration (maybe Oil Painting too). Preferences may vary as much as affordability

    3d Rikti

Eight, that is awesome! The features look right on, and I love the texture used around the rim of his dome.

I'll be watching your progress on this one.

    Congrat's Star!

It's been a great week for first time 50's on the artist's forum... Cosmic Flux, Alex and now Star. Whooohoo!

Have you started your first squid too?

    Gallery Closed

It's a good thing you got out when you did TA. I'll soon be open for commissions, but wouldn't want to enable you

Your gallery truly is an inspiration, and it did contribute to getting me back into painting. Thanks for that.
  18. Wow those colors are bold. This looks nothing like I imagined from Graver's sketch, but it totally rocks!

Gratz to JTran218 & Graver for an amazing combo effort, and to Billz for the commish.

That's the best link Grave, been looking everywhere for that book, it's out of stock! Thanks a ton!

    [/ QUOTE ]

You're very welcome LJ - I'm glad it's helpful to you too. It's sad there's only a dozen pages on the link if it's out of print I'll do a library search for it though.
  20. Great topic. I've been setting my models up in Poser, but to make them "Heroic" this link was helpful: How-to-draw Superheroes

Sorry if this is off-topic. Re-reading the OP after posting I see you may have only wanted photo-references

Her name is Savatri. She is an Avenging angel sent to earth to deal out justice (tm).

Yeah I know lots of avenging angels out there, but She looks awesome in her Holy Armor fight suit that I regretably do not have a pic of :P

    [/ QUOTE ]

That is a very cool shot.

How can you have too many Angels though? Have you walked the streets of Kings Row lately? It seems there are more thugs & robots than civilians
  22. The colored version is very cool - nice work Crestent!
Great composition, I can't complain about any scene with Grave Enigma posed between two hot, cold women... whoohoo

I'm planning to do commissions soon, and have been working on projects to illustrate my range of services. Kilotonnage was kind enough to offer his likeness for my second design....

    Sketch in Progress

Every lunch hour I'll work on this further, and update the link with daily progress. Once inks, then colors are started I'll post new links in this thread for each.

Constructive criticism is encouraged - this style is fairly new to me.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The sketch is now finished at the link above...
The inks are now started at this link.

Sorry this is moving a little slow Kilo - it's been a busy week for me.
