And I'm sure I'm not the first to think of this.. But wouldn't starting neutral also mean you could choose your powers more freely? As in mix vill and hero sets?

I've avoided Assault Rifle on blasters for that very reason, I could just never get behind a Hero using a gun. Always seemed more... vigilante like.
Even with rubber bullets and the like.

If they added alternative animations for TP like they have for Fly, then you could appear in a flash of lightning, or an explosion, or a puff of smoke, or a cloud of darkness.
