Quote:That's something I still don't wuite get about those jails, or the Thorn ones - what exactly are the Council/Thorns trying to achieve with them?Fixed.

*imagines some poor empath with no attacks left to rot...*
Like there are no guards, and no one ever comes by, so do they even know when they've caught someone? Shouldn't an Archon or someone check them out from time to time? Maybe even ask us what we were doing in their base? Sure, the answer's always going to be "none of your business", but they could at least make the effort

Quote:Maybe the jail area could be like the Council base in the RWZ, so it's part of the zone?IDEA: If you are defeated on Striga you should get sent to a Council jail.(think mayhem jail) Would make an interesting twist on the zone. Of course it would have to be only lightly guarded as some solo heroes might have a hard time fighting their way out of a heavily guarded bunker.

I think CoH2 would probably have moral missions right from the start - like all the arcs would have choices in them - although I'm not sure how they'd handle that zone wise, as there'd need to be a couple of neutral zones for people to start in.

I'm not quite sure I get what this thread is about - someone's crafting stuff and selling it for a small profit?

Quote:That sounds very cool, but the kind I'd like to visit would be like the big ones, with lots of walls and towers and a moat, and a banqueting hall, and a dungeon, and things like that - it doesn't matter if they're ruins, just as long as they're big enough to see what they wereMy mum actually has a castle in her back garden.
Ok, so it's a ruin... it barely has the remains of three walls, but it has history.
King Edward I of England (yeah, the guy who fought Mel Gibson in Braveheart) stayed there when he captured the Stone of Scone.

That's the I17 pre-patch - Over 800 MBs of ultra mode goodness

Quote:I think the lack of a hospital and a store probably makes some people avoid it too.Which is strange, because when Striga was first introduced people couldn't get enough of it and raved over it. Part of the problem is that though it has some nice missions, it has some really stupid ones too, like the one to "confirm" the presence of War Wolves and Council. Of course any idiot can look over and see 20 of each running around, but you have to actually go collect some scalps, 30 in all as I recall, and of course the spawns tend to be hazard-zone sized. There are a few other missions like that around too, and they just feel like either padding or busy-work. Old school bloat.
That's surely not the only reason for deserting it though. -
The game's now broken the 3GB mark - GR might take it to 4+

The I17 closed beta group will have been chosen the same way they've done all the others - some random picks, plus some invites.
But the GR closed beta will be done a bit differently, so anyone with the 60 months vet badge, or anyone who took part in the loyalty program will get in. -

I'll see if I can find the thread for you.
EDIT: Near the bottom of page 2 on this thread:

Although it invovles more than just DJ Zero
