Quote:I'm just going by what the devs have said - Outbreak and Breakout aren't even getting a makeover in GR - the new tutorial is for Praetorians onlyVillains current content is not enjoyable. According to you, editing live content can't happen as it's a tremendous undertaking.

War Witch has talked about increasing the rate of new content once GR goes outQuote:New content comes in at a trickle. I17's eight missions is a huge update, as far as content goes. Thus the game's not going to get any better. Thus the only enjoyable content is Hero-side. Play a Hero, or leave.

Yeah - extend their sight range, and also make any fight within a certain range get their attention, even if their backs are turned to the action.

Quote:Going by her most recent statements on the subject, I wouldn't get too hopeful right nowNo. Positron's priority was new content. His priority is now developing end game content.
War Witch is known for rewriting old content, and is now the Lead Developer. Perhaps priorities have changed

She said she'd like to revamp some of the older zones like Boomtown and Dark Astoria, but only if it fitted what they wanted to do - like not just for the sake of it, but only if it tied into some story aspect. -

Whether this was your intent or not, this is how your post sounds to me:

But rewriting one TF isn't the same as rewriting an entire side of the game - and as the main red side complaint is about a lack of SFs rather than the quality of the current SFs, it's way more likely that any SF stuff the devs do will be new SFs, not rewrites of the current ones - the devs' priority is new content, not revamps

I'd like them to go get help, and also to make more use of their weapons - like Council soldiers shouldn't really fire off a couple of shots then race to get into melee action

Quote:The only problem with that calculation is that it assumes that the entire Paragon Stuidos dev team is working only on the current version of CoH, rather than being split between the current version of CoH and one or more other projects, which would have their own budget and funding, calculated separately from the budget and funding of the current version of CoH.Using a conservative estimate for costs incurred during development, which assumes an average salary of £32,000/year with costs per person of a further £32,000 a year, if Paragon Studios has 50 full time development staff, their costs already exceed £3.2m a year, without factoring in costs for CS staff, investement in new server tech, or maintenence of existing servers.
As long as CoX remains an actively developed game, these costs will hang over Paragon Studios/NCSoft, and all profit figures will be effected by them. There are also unknown variable costs at work here (What with the economy still turbulent in areas), which could cause dips on figures shwoing the bottom line.
It's a lot harder than assumed to be successful in the gaming industry. -

Quote:"Deficient teaming abilities"? That's all in your mind - anyone can teamI really really hate this zone event trend. It doesn't sound like I'll be making use of the Incarnate system.
Hopefully I'll be able to do a lot of beta testing for Going Rogue, so I can find out if it's something I'll buy. Although City of Heroes is still by far my favorite game, a lot of the team oriented stuff is beyond my deficient teaming abilities, and I don't know yet whether I'll be able to make much use of Going Rogue at all. For my purposes, it might not be worth purchasing.

Quote:I mean after the closing dateNo I won't, and I have a very good reason why... 'Cause if someone who can enter the contest decides to copy my idea and win, that would just piss me off to no ends....
And I hope everyone else that can't enter the contest does the same, just to protect themselves and their work.
Then we can still see what stuff you've all come up with. -
I'm not exactly sure what's included either, but apparently half the people here are perverts, so with you and Frosticus on the list, that's 83,474 left to identify.

Quote:I think you should perhaps wait to see what the events actually are like before you decide if the system is ruined or notdamnbuggerdamnbuggerdamnbugger
that screws up the incaranate system for me.
Like Troll raves and Steel Canyon fires are examples of zone events that don't involve banners - plus, the Incarnate zone events might be able to be done solo, so you mighn't even need to team at all to unlock the Incarnate stuff.
EDIT: As for gated content, don't forget that for most players, TFs are gated content too, along with Giant Monsters, the Hamidon and the Rikti Mothership - so it's not like they haven't already been designing the tougher challenges in the game to be team focused. -
Quote:7:05 onwards:Zone Events? I fragging hope not, its the zone events like the banners that are just about my only hate for this otherwise great game.
I really hope that zone events aint mandorty for the incaranate system.
Do you have any link or actual substance to linking zone events with Incarante content?

"We've also got brand new zone events which is the content you play through in order to earn all this cool new stuff that we've got coming for you." -
Listen to her description of them from 5:25 onwards - and the last thing she says about them - it's hard to describe, but the way she says it just sounds...unusual:

Although, as she's the easter egg queen, so I'm kinda listening for secret hints in most things that she says

Quote:The Incarnate System will allow 50s to become even more powerful than they are now, and they'll need their new powers to take on the enemies their going to face.that's what i don't understand
"the Incarnate system"
so are characters are gonna be as strong as statesmen and recluse since they are Incarnate?
The Incarnate System content takes the form of some kind of zone events that happen only in the 4 new Praetroian zones.
They're moral missions that will give you choices in them - depending on what you choose to do, your morality meter will either go towards good or evil, which will eventually allow you to go rogue and travel to both sides of the game, and further moral chocies will let you completely switch sides.Quote:the Going Rogue system is for 20-50
posi said the 1-20 stuff happens in praetoria so the 20-50 is ....a what? -
Quote:Possibly - or it could mean...something else - War Witch seemd to kinda hint that there was something about the Clockwork at PAX EastI hadn't really contemplated it until now but...
Why was it deemed that the robots needed to have an aesthetic gender difference?
.....
Is IS aesthetic, right?
