Apparently, the Avatar of the Hamidon climbs out of the gound when it first appears - and it also has a PBAoE with a 600 feet radius and a -20 mag confuse protection.
-
Well, it pretty much does - the signature heroes are all fairly normal, with spandex, capes and masks featuring on several of them - and that carries over into the advertising of the game - the promotional artwork has Statesman everywhere, along with frequent appearances by Sister Psyche and Manticore, with Ms. Liberty as another prominent promotional character.

Quote:I'm not sure that the sound guy knows how to fix pet bugs.I just did a Lambda trial with my MM and once again the bug that leaves my minions sitting at the front door reared its head and I found myself trying to resummon in the middle of a battle. That bug has been around for years with the only fix being /release_pets. And that's just one glaring example of ongoing issues but instead of devoting time and energy into fixing stuff like that.. lets add voice overs.

Quote:It has some screen shake effects and can cause enemies to cower in fearI'm just worried that they "stand out in animations" like DP does. In other words, they are overly elaborate and stupid. Street fighting would be great for some harsh, quick, and brutal attacks, but I have a terrible feeling it's going to have a spinning Zangief clothesline or something equally silly.

Well, it could be used in the Rogue Isles, where villains fight other villains quite a lot - but in Paragon City, it'd be kinda pointless, as we only fight bad guys there and not other heroes.

Apparently, in the Underground Trial, Desdemona has a little portrait icon hovering over her so players can keep track of where she is.

I was busy with other things, so I couldn't catch this broadcast

Statesman artwork has just been added to the new log-in screen.
Statesman artwork has been added to the new play-style selection screen in the revamped costume creator as an example of a tank.
Statesman featrues in the tutorial comic loading screen, where he confronts Recluse, recapping the the personal conflcit at the heart of the Hero vs Villain set-up.
Statesman continues to be the face of the game, and is the only signature charatcer featured in the CoH: Freedom promotional artwork.
he's now more prominent in the game than ever before - it seems unlikely he'd be removed - plus, his TF is one of the newer ones, so it'd be harder to remove it and rewrite it without causing complaints - the other Freedon Phalanx TFs, apart from Positron, could be removed with very little complaint.
The developer who used the name is no longer with Paragon Studios.
Back Alley Brawler features in new artwork in the play-style selection screen in the revamped costume creator as an example of a melee fighter.

Positron has had his TF revamped quite recently, making it harder to rewrite it for someone else, unlike the other 5 Freedom Phalanx TFs.
Positron is a charater that Matt Miller has been playing in various PnP games for almost 20 years, and is also his official name on the forums.
Positron was recently added as an opponent in the Mortimer Kal SF, with his role as the keeper of the Flames of Prometheus making an appearance form the comics.
Positron was recently revealed to have started a relationship with Numina.

Numina's TF is a good candidate for a rewrite.
Sister Psyche has been added to the new Galaxy City tutorial.

Synapse has had no recent activity, but is the official forum name of Phil Zeleski.

Quote:Like Protean starts going after Sister Psyche as a way to get at Manticore, so Manticore fakes his own death to protect her?I'm also just a little suspicious of this idea of the signature arcs being a "murder mystery". It smacks of the old "faking your own death" gambit.

Ms. Liberty is part of the new Atlas Park - she's not going anywhere

Quote:So being able to avoid newer content is enough to put you off the older content you've always ran in the past? That doesn't even come close to making senseOn the good side the devs may have finally cured me of my altitis since I don't think I could stand creating any new characters anymore. The whole business of what used to be explained in the tutorial being stretched out until level 20 or whatever sounds really annoying even if optional like those help pop up things. Does anybody really like those?

And you might even find that the new, optional training missions could be quite fun

It looks like the new Shivans explode with a "splash" when they're defeated.

The Chapel of Enduring Light looks bigger here than in the earlier screenshot.
