Quote:But shotguns are the traditional way of fighting zombiesMy primary and secondary powersets are better for hunting zombies. Why drop a fiver for a tool that doesn't measure up to what I get for free?

Like you can use a machine gun to fight ninjas but that still not the same as fighting them with martial arts

The 3rd contact is now in the game, but without giving out the arc - he's just outside the Founders' Falls hospital, and is called Agent Kwahu, with this description:
Quote:Longbow Spec-Ops Agent
Agent Kwahu is one of the numerous Spec-Ops agents within Longbow. He has been part of several important operations, including the original mapping of the tunnel systems beneath Grandville and creating a plan of operations for establishing a front in Nerva Archipelago.
His latest operation is quite possibly the most important task of his life. -
You still can

Lots of stuff in the game makes me smile - that's why I play it

I can't really think of anything that frightens me in a major way - it's easier to come up with stuff that just grosses me out

Quote:Pop purples, blast through one rbanch, go to Ouroboros, pop purples, blast through the other branch - content completed, wait for the next IssueIf you have branching missions and you have to choose which branch to take, no clickable inspiration is going to help you.

Quote:It doesn't need any discusison - "gimmick" = anything that you don't likeWe can argue about the semantic meaning of 'gimmick' if you like, but I don't think it would be very productive.

Task Forces, Rikti invasions and Hamidon raids? They're all flashy staged events that use gimmicks that arne't found in the normal 1-50 mission content.Quote:The OP introduced 'gimmick' to describe flashy content, often in staged events, that had nothing to do with the game itself.
So you'd prefer new costume parts to only be relased several months apart with each new Issue? And how many non-fixed-story arcs are there in the game? I'm assuiming you're not including the ones in GR, as they're all tied into the gimmick of Praetoria.Quote:In CoH, I would say that monthly costume releases and fixed-story signature arcs are good examples of worthless gimmicks.
Which parts of the content from the "good old days" did that? Or do you mean that the new content in Praetoria and the Tip misisons is the kind of stuff you want, rather than the fixed-story stuff we always got pre-GR?Quote:I have been arguing against that kind of content and for giving the players choices that have consequence. I think if you have an open mind, you'll see that my suggestions give players choices, all of which lead to mutually exclusive consequences. -

Quote:It's a Trial that uses the LFG tab, like the sewer Trial and the Incanrate Trials.i want to get to the DR kane event but i have no idea where it is at is it in a certain zone or somthing, i know it says the team teleporter but where is that at?
It's a co-op Trial, but most people usually seem to form it with just one faction by recruiting for it in somewhere like Atlas Park.
Of you want help with it, I can form a team for you. -

I think that all ambushes should only be triggered by the "leave"/"close" part of the final text window, and that all the clues from a story should be saved as part of the story souvenir - like when you read the re-cap of the story, a little icon button should be put beside the parts that are releated to the clues you got, and clicking it would bring up a pop-up window of the clue.

Quote:So a game that relies on being able to hold the attention of players well enough to get them to pay money for it is also trying to discourage immersion in the game? The newer game mechanics are deliberately designed to disrupt this state of mind, seeing it as detrimental to the game.

The Apex and Tin Mage TFs are also great examples of just how superior the newer content is compared to the older stuff.
