There are some special solo-only missions in the new DA content where you get to play as an NPC and go "behind the scenes" of the main story - they're very cool.
-
Failing Lambda because of cutscene bombing is mostly down to players not knowing the risk, rather than griefing.

Welcome to the game and the forums

The Incarnate Trials are all failable
-
-
They become easier once players realize they need to concentrate a bit more than in non-Trial content - but they still remain the most challenging content in the game.
-
And Hamidon raids became easier once people worked out what to do

Quote:Just keep it below the level of stupidity that calls something added to a superhero video game "morally bankrupt"So, I'm forced to ask, especially since lots of others in this very thread are eager to meet expectations, and myself as well: What is the exact amount of constructiveness we need in our feedback to get proper dev attention?
Don't swear, don't be aggressive, don't be sarcastic, and keep everything in perspective. -
SSA 1 has been awesome so far - SSA 2 should be cool too

EDIT: Oops - wrong thread

Quote:Quivers aren't the problem - it's things like swords in scabbards that are causing the trouble.I still don't get the thing about the quivers. Scabbards I can see you wanting to make dynamic, but my archers never run out of arrows, so why would the number in my quiver ever have to change?
As for customization, just limit it as with other items. Give us two or three quivers - a natural quiver (simple leather/animal skin), an arcane quiver (fancied up like the arcane high collar capes and such) and a tech quiver (metallic and cylindrical looking or something) and let us use two colors on each, and viola, you're done.
If a player draws a sword, then the sword can't still be shown in the scabbard - it needs to be dynamic, and be activated when the wepaon power is activated, which isn't something they've done before. -
While the coming storm seems to present an easy get out for the situation by forcing a truce in the war to fight the bigger threat, the more recent Trials have taken us into story territory that's harder to reverse.
With BAF and Lambda, Tyrant's power was weakened, but he still had a firm grip on the people of Praetoria - and even with Keyes there's a chance that his forces could recapture the reactors.
But the UGT-TPN-MoM sequence has resulted in the truth about his lies being revealed, the Hamidon breaking off its deal with him, and the Seer network falling apart.
His plan to have Mother Mayhem mindwash the entire planet was his last chance to keep up the "utopia" facade, and now that it's failed, he left with a population that knows the truth about the loyalist dictatorship, and no functioning thought police network to do anything about it.
That, along with the military blow suffered at Lambda Sector and the loss of control over the Keyes reactors, which prevents him from using the sonic fences as a weapon like he did when he tried to wipe out First Ward, means that he's only left with the option of openly brutal repression to try and regain control of his collapsing empire.
He can still count on the loyalty of his clone soldiers and warworks, but the PPD could easily split apart as they see the reality of the dictatorship they've been supporting - while Provost Marchand has shown himself to be prepared to work against Tyrant's plans, Neuron has his own schemes and power base, and even Dominatrix is preparing to betray her grandfather/lover - plus, there's the newly awakened Hamidon out to wipe out humanity once and for all - a creature that he can't defeat.
Letting the Well take him over in exchange for all its power might be the only path left to him -
Quote:Just ignore the crazies - they're the morally bankrupt onesI guess it wasn't enough to just give away the Going Rogue Expansion features away as a benefit for VIP subscription and allow just any subscriber to change their alignment for free.
I guess we're also morally bankrupt to give away free server transfers a month for free to VIP subscribers, too.
And for anyone that never purchased the Going Rogue expansion or let their subscription lapse, we're apparently lower than dirt to charge a $10 "service" fee to change a character's alignment that a non-paying customer spent time on....
C'mon folks. *This is not profiteering on the backs of VIPs.
ALL VIP subscribers and any customer that purchased the Going Rogue expansion have a FREE option to EASILY and FREELY change their character's alignment.
Come at me with the pitchforks, but really? *Are you not seeing the reasons for introducing this service?
Non VIP customers can now change their character's alignment to try the content on the other side without deleting thir character and grinding up to a power level where they were before (if they got up to level 20). * VIP customers get 400 points every month that they can apply to this 800 point service...., or as I pointed out earlier, VIP customers can change their alignment for FREE using the in-game system.
If you want to provide more constructive feedback like "this is a great feature that i would rather get free per month as part of my VIP membership than server transfers or 400 points per month" then we're all ears.
There's a small group who've been anti-Freedom from the start, and they'll look for any chance to attack anything linked to it or the market - the upswing in CoH profits for Q4 2011 seems to suggests that you're getting the majority of things right in the amrket for the majority of the players
My constructive feedback is the same as others have suggested - replace the monthly server transfer token with some kind of monthly VIP account service token that would give us the option of picking a single service from a list, like an alignment switch for one avatar, a server transfer for 1 avatar, or a rename for 1 avatar, and so on. -
As Positron will now be the closest thing to a leader that blue side has, I think that he should have a high level TF and not the intro one - especially as Positron is already the guide for DFB.

Maybe players will get quivers if Manticore gets one as part of a revamp of his outfit to relfect his return to brooding vigilante loner status?

With Sister Psyche now seeming to be gone, and Penny Yin being fast forwaded in age, I23 is shaping up to be devoted just to revamping all the content SSA 1 has affected

Welcome home
If you've been gone for a couple of years, you might notice one or two tweaks to the game since then
