Quote:Agreed! In an ideal world where resources were readily available I would strive to give something new, something converted from current NPC factions and something upgraded from old costume bits. A three pronged attack. Get everyone something each Issue and chip away at the pile of awesome out there.I think it would be nice to see a few "New" pieces every issue, as well as a few NPC parts and a few old parts updated every issue, its probably the nicest balance of the three although new parts are always nice to have a look through at least and they ALWAYS cause a stir on the forums when spotted in preview vids etc...

My personal big ticket items are Mender pieces and remaining Roman pieces. The specific emblem they use and all of their variations of said emblem - chest piece, shoulder, belt, belt with leg accessory, etc.
And then Roman Sandals/Gloves/Chest Piece
I hope that they aren't super hard to extract from the NPCs but if they were and did mean getting the way of something new then I would rather get these. At least I know I want these, where as I may not want the new thing (tho I'll be honest - I put everything to use and hate nothing except super old textures and costume bugs/inconsistencies). -
I tried my hand at the Beyonder and I couldn't do anything that I could stand behind. He's just a really tough subject matter. I like a challenge but I just failed said challenge this time. :P
I think an Ice character will be interesting so I'll definitely give it another go this week!
And congrats Henri! -
Quote:I was holding out for a Halloween booster! BUT I'm super excited about everything they revealed. Awesome info, thanks!750,000 characters have logged in since Going Rogue came out?
That's crazy.
Did they mention anything about the Halloween event?
Anything about boosters? -
Quote:Agreed. It makes sense to move it over. I had kept hoping we'd get more types of trench coats but doesn't look like it. Even if we do, having them all in Jackets still works just fine. This please.
Also unlock more belts for trenchcoat, like resistance and PPD.
I think trenchcoat should be moved to jackets and sleeveless jackets to have both versions where all the normal shoulder pads and gloves are avalaible to sleeveles version like it works with the jackets.
Like the tuxedo from the wedding pack. -

Quote:These are awesome, GQ! Sort of a riverboat gambler kind of look. Tin Mage would approve, I think.
I still like the robotic legs tho, it gives him that unmistakable classic robot look. I see that from across the room, and I know that's a robot.Quote:That's the main reason for them, I think - because with the way he's dressed, he's not showing much "skin", so without the legs, it's hard to tell at first if is he's a robot or not. -
Costumes are totally subjective, I agree. I'd just do something along these lines - this is quick and dirty work, I'd probably spend a lot more time on an actual contest like trying different shoulders, gloves, feet, etc. But it'd sure be fun! I've always thought that it's good practice to showcase new costumes/armor/etc. in various games on NPCs that players would get exposure to so that they would WANT those costume bits even more if they didn't already have them. A mini marketing approach via in game interactions. The below has GR, Magic and Wedding pack stuff (depending on which costume).

From Naz and the Costume Makeover Contest: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=235271
Mister Halloween:
I quite like it. It's a much darker version (in more ways that one) than the only other art I have of Mister Halloween. I really like having the contrast between the two and will probably get a few more of him! I also love the bat brooches. I wish we had that in game! Hmm.. time to go pester Noble Savage. -
Quote:That would be super nice.I don't follow all the costume threads, and I've done a casual search and have not found this addressed in any thread, but could you please make gloves and boots to match the Angelic Plus, Excess Plus and Hearts Plus from the Wedding Pack? I think the Hearts and Angelic textures are great, some of my favorites, but it makes me sad there is no matching gloves or boots for them. That seems like such an unintentional design oversight for an otherwise wonderful pack.

I wouldn't mind either. I just don't like level restricted like say.. Vanguard. It's super annoying to have to wait to 35, even tho you can enter RWZ at any level now. I don't mind defeat ones if you can get help at any level. My steampunk guy got the Nemesis rifle at level 10 or something due to having some help. It was a challenge but worth it. Even better are some craftables due to not being level restricted. Extra few steps to take and hoops to jump through but at least I CAN do it at level 1 if I'm dedicated enough to the concept to get the piece.
-
This sounds OK conceptually but I just don't know if I'd want to do that for ALL characters where you couldn't get the piece until level 50 at the earliest. Maybe if it was unlocked across the account afterwards?

I do certainly want the skull like Clockwork face in the i19 pic. /drool
But I want the Mender stuff more. I know, how about both!I just can't imagine the pieces for the Mender gear being hard to give us except maybe for the belt that extends to the leg piece. Everything else seems pretty straight forward and look to be custom made to work on player models, not baked into existing art like how Tsoo and Hellion gear is. I could be wrong of course but I'm pretty savvy on the costume editor and those pieces really do look like something you could edit in there. Same with the Clockwork stuff.

Quote:I want all those things but what I want the MOST is *all* of the Mender pieces - the shoulder pieces, emblem, belt, belt with leg piece, etc. I'll take Mender stuff really. :PSkull masks, Carnie pieces, and Tsoo masks & long skirts like the Tsoo sorcerers wear have been requested since before the hardsuits and Kheldians even existed. They should definitely be at the front of the queue.
I'm very disappointed in David's backpedalThat quote clearly says something very different.
I don't expect long robes/skirts due to animation issues but skull masks, sashes, Carnie masks and bits, Mender bits all that type of stuff will go a long way. I'll be disappointed too if we don't get some of those things. -
For real. It's such a versatile piece. Or would be. :P
-
Correct. I expect some layoffs as being possible after an expansion or new game tho of course I would hope otherwise. I've been around a lot of them working for EA but they usually result in QA/CS staff or a few extra devs, not well established, long term devs. But then again during lay off times people usually have the option to take a severance package voluntarily which is something I did. So perhaps that happened and it was a mutual parting of ways. We can speculate all day and in the end if BaBs is gone then I stand by my post - good luck, BaBs.
-
This truly sucks. I had hoped Paragon was doing well enough with GR and booster sales to keep everyone and in fact to hire new people for future projects. Good luck BaBs.

Please address the issue with Tops with Skin - Metal piece. They have never aligned properly from the front part of the torso to the back part of the torso.
Thanks! -
When you've used the piece for 6 years you become painfully aware of it. :P Sadly, you do not become used to it. Not in my case anyway! hehe
-
I'd like some new costumes and I'd love for old costume bits to get touched up with better textures. I'm looking at YOU Tops with Skin - Metal. I love the piece but it looks outdated and there is a glaringly obvious bug that they've never fixed.
Here's hoping for both! -
Appreciate the feedback!
Yah the cloak is the only thing that's a bit off to me but only because the way it's moving, I'd have preferred if it was hanging instead of flapping up but I suppose it was to show movement of floating around on wind - some sort of updraft.
She doesn't have wings normally but she does wear the Insect 4 cape which is transparent like wings. Tho the artist didn't know this, I RP it so the cloak is magical and can turn into insect wings when she flies around (I use a costume change for the travel power to insect wings). So he did pretty well with making the cape transparent and giving it some of the patterns of the cape in game. It's a hard one to pull off I think.
Here are pics of the cape in game.
I'm also quite happy someone included her.. tail this time around. The only things that make her goblin looking are her ears, tail and skin coloring. Otherwise she looks like a short, dreadlocked fey/elf. :P

Thanks, glad you guys like them. No one warned me about the curse. The curse to keep getting more and more and more art!
Goblin Queen finally got some color in her life.Newest piece from Wansworld. While checking him out, should check out his girlfriend too, MiliescentCurse, who I think is way talented and I plan to hit up for a commission.
