Quote:When I hear Cosmic I think of Power Cosmic types like the Heralds of Galactus. Are those type of designs fitting for the theme next week? I realize they usually fall into Alien or Human categories of course but just making sure! Our next contest is this Thursday at 10 PM Eastern.
Our next themed contest is Tuesday February 15. The theme is Cosmic. You may compete as an Alien or a Human who works in space; like an astronaut. -

Quote:Ooo. I missed that. Sweet! Thanks.Noble Savage said today that several people have already guessed the next booster and since Steampunk seems to be the common guess (and I haven't really heard anyone guessing "water"), I'd keep the safe money on steampunk.
I'm not even all that into the steampunk scene, I just know that I can find something interesting to do with some new shoulders, new arms, new boots, etc. Can't say the same about lion and cow heads. -
Quote:Wild speculation warning:It's disappointing to me because I used to enjoy seeing how all the new parts could be repurposed into other costumes but I suppose I'll just have to wait for the next (Steampunk?) booster and hope they do better.
While I hope for a Steampunk pack (it's my namesake on a lot of various sites), I'm not sure if it'll be Steampunk. I know "pressure" was the key word? I've heard it could be a water themed pack instead. With Jay's rantings about what sounded like Atlantis or water zones (possibly), I feel it gives it a bit more validity.
I'm happy either way. I have a lot of water themed toons that could get a makeover too but I'd definitely be happiest with a Steampunk one first. -
That's really nice. Love the soft strength to it. If that makes sense. Hehe

Sorry, I totally misread/read into this part here:Quote:
no matter how long it takes to get together 8 to 12 players--you will be teleported to the Trial by forces beyond mortal ken (i.e. the server).
Edited my original post to not further spread the ignorance I had! -
Congrats, VexXxa!

Quote:I'd love to see the head options. A hopefully easier addition would be the kilt/skirts/shorts and monstrous legs. Please, oh please give us that.Mostly liking what I see here, though it's a shame we cant get hats and glasses on these beast heads, and still no Kilts/Skirts/Shorts on the monstrous legs.

Quote:I agree with most of what Geist said. But I really agree with THIS. Please let flat boots have animal fur options. I'd love to see clawed looks too of course.I like the options overall, and the cats seem very well done. The minotaur seems to work out well, although I haven't played with those options as much. But if you want feedback...
Big huge gripe#1... no "animal fur" for flat boots. You can put animal fur on the basic smooth boots, but that's it, and that leaves a nasty heel. You can play around with patterned tights on flat boots, but the colors don't match well with fur (and, well, don't look furry). This leaves monstrous legs as the only decent option for a barefoot animal character, and sometimes that doesn't suit well either. Simple fix is "animal fur" available on flats, bonus points if we could get a simple clawed look (with normal legs!) to go with it.
I also agree that the heads do not scale enough. They should be able to scale considerably larger. -

Subjective Feedback:
I love most of this pack. I'm very happy with the Breath emote. The fleas are a touch too big however. I'd probably just use Flies instead to get the flea look.
For the costume change emotes, it would be awesome if the color of the fur and feathers took on the color of the costume. I'm sure it's impossible but I do think it's unfortunate that a black bird throws around white feathers. I do like the fact that I can use the fur emotes to look like sand.
I really like how the Beast Run idle slows down after a few seconds. I was about to post a request to make it slower.
I think that an opportunity was missed to bring back the Monstrous Fur (or whatever it was called) costume parts that were taken from the players back in CoV Beta.
I too would have liked to see some animalistic add ons in this pack like Collars. I would also like to see non animated versions of the tails (and the new ones added in the Mutant pack for that matter).
The Hiss and Sniff emotes should have some sort of loop as well. I do like the idea of having a loop and non looping version. Perhaps for the Savage it could loop in an active version where it keeps jumping and scratching and then the non loop can keep it's Simian stance after it stops jumping and scratching.
Speaking of which, the Savage emote really does beg for a Simian costume. Hopefully that's something we will get with another Animal pack.. -
I'm very impressed with this letter and the continued communication. Keep it up, all!
More specifically I am thrilled at a Battlegroup/Raid/League UI and the new features that go with it such as the queue. I'm hoping that the Notice of the Wells gets a solo option with some sort of (slightly) higher cost Shard conversion rate. I plan to do the TFs for them but I know the soloers out there need options.
Edited post to take out fail for reading comprehension! -

Boo on the 23rd release date.
If we start picketing now can we get it say.. this Thursday? ;P

Same here actually. My hope is that this pack sells so well that they do more Animal Packs with other animals (sharks, fish, amphibians, reptiles, etc.)

I've been camping the Facebook page in hopes of an announcement today. I had hoped it was the release of the pack but this is almost as good! I really hope it releases sooooonnnn! Looks awesome!

I focused on my mid to high level 40s so I could get them to 50 and start up the Alpha content this week (anyone interested in a bunch of Trapdoor missions?! hehe).
Level 48 Blaster to 50
Level 47 Scrapper to 50
Level 49 Crab Spider to 50
Level 43 Controller to 50
Very happy with getting the above done.
