If I get it right... he's hoping for some 'do gooders' or atleast people that would investigate/fight "The Militia"
-
Yes, there are newspapers and tabloids that cover heroes primarily. No, I don't think there's an ingame mention of it.
I believe in a spontanious bit of RP around GG was one reading a tabloid named 'hero' and making comments about various assembled heroes, from proposterous to actually true!
So yes. It's rather plausible there would be about 10 of them (people like reading about their heroes, whether super or media) so make one or two up and go with it
If you want to, you could ask on here information on 'famed' heroes, what is known, what is speculated and such -

Thanks guys. :-) And I'll stay in touch with those I have on msn anyway.
I actually forgot to mention another factor; In october I am starting my course at the Open University, which means my evenings are for studying. This particular course will take 9 months, so I probably won't be back until May, unless sporadic.
Really pleased though. :-)

Edit to answer Jitze;
I think I will be. What's the exact date again? *Is a little out of it*

25th and 26th of November
I'm thinking of going, but... not sure just yet. -
Will you be going to Memorablia? (or how ever that's spelled)
-
See you Stef.
Hope you enjoy yourself with the LARPing and what ever else you're up to -
Feel free to join the "GGOOC" channel, to my knowledge the largest collection of RPing players even if they don't all attend GG (regularly)
More Clock Tower specific is "CTOOC", but how specific, I wouldn't know.
Lots of information on RPing can be found on the GG Wiki.
Some might even be useful
GG Wiki
To help, I've picked out two that probably gives you (most of) the information you're looking for.
GG's Basic Conduct 'guidelines'
It says it's GG's, but you'll find it applies to most RP scenes as 'common sense'
GG RP FAQ
Some questions answered.
Some questions are GG specific, most just RP in general
I hope this helps, I think there's a good RP Guide in that section, though was (re)posted just after the board whipe so expect to find it on one of the last pages
edit: Found it! Basic RPing guide for heavy/immersive communities
and as said, these aren't the 'be all, end all' rules, more guidelines to help you out in finding your way to your own comfortable style -
Hmmm, I feel I should repeat what I've just said to a friend of mine...
I think you're one of the best I've seen on these pages.
Off the top of my head I can think of only two who are possibly better, and they make a living out of it -
Those titles sound like the sort of music I don't listen to, so forgive me if I skip the guessing (if indeed that was the idea) and go straight to my list.
I never thought it'd be that easy/hard to pick songs...
Though I could probably do the same character with two more groups as well
Here're the questions for you:
The Grav Mistress:
1. Are you male or female? - Naked Heart
2. Describe yourself? - The lonely one
3. Describe how you live? - Have a little faith in me
4. Describe your boy/girlfriend? - Good thing
5. How do you feel about yourself? - I'm not so tough
6. Where would you rather be? - Beyond Gravity
7. Describe what you want to be? - Wouldn't that be something?
8. Describe how you love? - Tapdancing on a highwire
9. How do some people feel about you? - I'd be yours
10. Share a few words of wisdom? - All the answers -
I'd love to do this on Sunday morning with my lvl 37 PB, if you'll have me.
-
I'd be interested as well, lvl 50 Controller
-
A great piece of work.
A great level of detail, the statue actually looks like a statue with some wear and tear (though in prime condition considering the smoke's hinting it being just after a battle)
just 2 little points...
the lighter, there's no reflection on the helmet
and the lighter's shadow, not sure what to make of that, which can be a good or a bad point -
Hmm, I thought Meta-Gaming, when RPing, was when you use knowledge you aquired OOC (and couldn't know IC) as IC knowledge..
Or perhaps that's just a possible form of Meta-Gaming -
Not bad, not bad at all.
Nice cut out and well placed into the background. Especially the same colourscheme is an excelent detail often missed in the first attempt.
Keep up the good work! -
Nicely done!
Is it painted or pure pencil work? -
Did for me too, but...
Is this a nomination thread, or a voting thread? -
I would like to nominate all the fiction posted as part of a roleplaying plot.
The Hunt for Requiem: To Search A Thousand Worlds
and it's follow up thread regarding a full scale Paragon invasion:
The War Against Requiem
Though I realise working out 'who gets the prize' will be a bit hard as there are so many, many authors that have worked on it.
As for a more traditional nomination (incase the above doesn't fly)
ScarletVengeance's Character Portraits -
If Z looks like Countess Crey... and Grav looks like a green Z... would that make Grav look like a green Countess Crey?
-
A big thumb's up to Fire Guardian and everyone else that was there!
One of the best parties I've been to in years!
(No, not the only one... ok, but not many) -
Secure plots allow for turrets to be placed in most rooms, or is that the placement of secure rooms which allows the turret placements?
-
It's nice to read what's happening behind the scenes.
But I can see what you mean. It's a nice piece, but it does lack ... 'something'.
It reads a bit, I don't know, bland? As if I'm expecting turmoil beneath the surface, but there isn't any (well, not much).
Perhaps it reads like I'm observing Minako, rather then accompanying her?
To explain that last part...
My character is stable, reserved and a bit cool at times. At least that's what is seen, underneath the surface of that 'controller' exterior there's often a turmoil of thoughts, emotions, ideas and history that I, as the player know is there.
The others are observing, I am accompanying.
I hope this all made some sense, and I hope it does you some good -
hehe, nice one!
This belongs in Creative, though (at least in my oppinion) -
Welcome back Zortel!
To the boards posting population, at least
For how ever long it'll last, it's good to see your posts again! -
Yay! He's back!

Surely chickens have the advantage of global domination though, albeit in a cooped-up, restricted freedom, kind of way?

And surely a duck is more useful in a combat situation? -
Thank you
First time I experimented with two seperate time forms at the same time (that took some time to time it right, ok I'll lay off the time jokes, sorry!)
As I said, I usually write in one time, either it's happening now, or it happened some time ago.
I'm very happy with how this experiment turned out
