So is it possible to get perma domination with this? If you can double stack, can you keep the dominations going permenately, with enough recharge boosting?
-
The only time I step up as you say when someone is posting about bugs, is when people make statements like "accuracy isn't working" when all they have to go off of is that they were fighting in this one mission and seemed to miss more than usual. Or attacks seem to be more drainy. Or recharges seem to be less or more. Or whatever. Because 99% of the time, they are wrong. Accuracy isn't nerfed, recharges aren't higher, and endurance usage didn't just go up.
I don't mind people posting bugs, but if someone believes there is a bug, they should test it and get some reliable numbers before getting everyone worked up about things.
I don't think that's too much to ask. If you think you've found a bug, test your bug and make sure what you think is happening is happening. -
Doesn't matter anyways. Recluse could have the power of 100 titans and Statesman only have the power to make really slippery ice. Somehow, Statesman would win the battle against Recluse by tricking him into stepping on his ice slick and falling into a lava pit or something.
In comics, good just beats evil as a general rule. -

Well this also may be just me but I personally find the lvl range of 1-20 the most boring and truly enjoy the 20+ a lot better.
[/ QUOTE ]
Same here. I freakin hate missing every other attack and I like having lots of powers to manage.
It's weird because in the early levels I'm like "I'M NOT LEVELING FAST ENOUGH... THOSE LAST 3 GUYS ONLY GAVE ME HALF A BAR... GRRR". Trying to get to like level 8 and all.
Then once I get to around level 22 or so and get SOs I'm like, "Wow, I got 2 bars that mission, freakin awesome!". Or even stop noticing the leveling and just play.
Why? Because the game is a lot more fun when my powers work and especially when I've got my travel power. I could hop around for hours with SJ doing nothing but hopping from building to building. And have. For like an hour anyways.
I'm sure the future will bring some nice high level content because they only thing I'm afraid of is getting my awesome character to level 50, and having nothing to do. -
You could include a temp power with the ball that only works on the ball that does a kick with a knockback effect. No damage, decent knockback, but it only works on the ball.
Still, the lack of physics is bad news bears. -
If it wasn't for the soon to come dark/electric, and the fact that I have a fire/fire, I'd probably make a dark/fire. Soul Drain + Firey Embrace + Lots of fury? (or the other way around if you want the SD to do more damage) 2 end drains? 2 self heals? Possibly trapping enemies with ToF and Burning them while they are helpless? It's like I can have my cake and eat it too.

Here is the exact post I recalled (had to go view _Castle_'s old posts to find it)
Here
Basically, they removed the AT mod a LONG time ago, and it's not a bug, but it was intended to be removed... looks like it was in the pre-i5 days when maybe it was overboard compared to the unnerfed defenses. -
As I recall, he thought it was bugged, but checked with some other devs and found out it was working as intended.

with blazing aura + soul drain + dark consumption + consume i would kill the entire spawn.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why did you delete this guy? He sounds like a blast to play. Literally. Especially now that you can add burn and ball lightning to your list of aoes thanks to the patron powers.
EDIT: Man, the idea of a suped up fully fury + soul drain + firey embrace + nukage is making me all exciting now. I have too many alts I wanna make lol. -
I'd trade the damage dealt by dark consumption and consumption in order to have an auto-hit 1/3 duration end drain/recovery power any day. Heck, I'd even trade consumptions range.
-
One can also argue that the kin doesn't need the damage boost from soul drain either... to play devil's advocate. Fulcrum shift will pretty much cap you out. Of course, for smaller mobs, I'd imagine a fulcrum shift followed by a soul drain will help you rehit that cap, not to mention give you a nice aoe blast from soul drain if you do it after FC.... and the accuracy ALWAYS helps.

Also, theres the double whammy of this powers damage not being enhanced like a regular attack. Thats nonsensical. Of the ~50 attacks available to Brutes, why does only this one function differently?
[/ QUOTE ]
If you are talking about fury, they changed lrod to be buffed by fury awhile ago. Or do you mean something else? -
Soul drain is freakin awesome, at least for my scrapper. I'm not sure how much it is modified for corrupters, but I can get over a 100% damage boost (3-4 damage SOs, without ED) and a huge accuracy boost too.
I'm sure you can see why this is a good thing. -
I don't care about the cone widths, honestly, I find them big enough... I just wish the melee cones reached out a few feet farther... like to 10 feet. So many times it looks like I could hit 2, but the guy is juuust out of reach.
It doesn't really matter tho, I'm happy enough with it as is... getting a 3 enemy crit with shadow maul makes me happy on the inside... espeically if I have a full soul drain boost going. -
It'd be cool if this ball was implemented, and it was attacks that moved the ball, that the distance the ball traveled was proportionate to the amount of damage done. So jab knocks it like 10 feet, whereas a fulcrum shifted blaster nuke would knock it across the zone or something.
And like, you could have attacks with knockup/back hit the ball even farther! A fulcrum shifted KO blow with 3 knockbacks slotted in it :P That'd be cool. Then you could like lower the balls resist so it flies farther....and of course the ball would have ragdoll physics... that'd rock.
Anyways, cast my vote for the red ball.
And if you hit the ball enough, it should say, "Perfect Ball Activated". Like the gem in d2. Then people could spend years trying to figure out what it meant, when it meant nothing. -

Hmmm, I think the problem here is the fact that you are trying to "think".
[/ QUOTE ]
See your post would be so much better without this part. But comments like this just sort of take away rational discussion regardless of any good points you may have made. -
[ QUOTE ]
Thanks, I was just imagining Positron and Statesman dropping a scrapper
[/ QUOTE ]
That's not very hero like, to take out your own forces -
[ QUOTE ]
Yeah... you were actually one of the easier targets to kill...
[/ QUOTE ]
AwwWell, I've never played a regen scrapper before, but that's all I got to my defense.
Who/what were you playing when you killed me?
EDIT:
I'd continue playing, but it's 12:50 am down here and I've gotta work tomorrow -
Just tried out the event at RV and holy cow it was so much for. I was playing in RV 2 as Rai the BS/Regen scrapper if anyone reconizes me
Was trying out a weird build that incorporated invoke panic into my build. Fearing people was quite awesome and sometimes I got entire groups with it. The fear effect doesn't last very long tho :/ Long enough for me to walk up and do a buildup headsplitter/disembowel tho. And regens have a problem dying apparently.
As for the actual zone, capturing the pillboxes is one wicked cool game. I joined a party shortly after entering, and we were zerging around finding pillboxes and taking time to deal with villains as they approached us.
We lost the first round, but managed to stop the zone from reverting somehow, then went on to win the second round.
Anyways, this was great fun, and I didn't even notice any bugs. Freakin 3 AVs spawning at once is crazy though. I got one shotted by one once, the signature AVs are just nuts. -

I recognize all the inv and ss stuff, but what's that other toggle?
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe that is Tough from the Fighting Pool.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, that is indeed tough. My inv tank is clinging on to at least having max s/l resist. -
I'm fine with that... I don't exactly do a lot of jumping when fightning normally anyways. Occasionally getting kbed while jumping is something I can live with.
At this point, I really have no complaints about the set. I'm trying to figure out how to work in aid self early, because I'm feeling the lack of a self heal already at level 8 on test, but we'll see. -
[ QUOTE ]
Of course, you aren't engaged in a fight with any tsoo in that shot, so I doubt that'd be very good to submit.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not reading the rules for the lose
Guess I'll come up with another screenie
EDIT
[ QUOTE ]
Rules DO say, however, "UI must not be visible."
[/ QUOTE ]
Multiple rules I failed to read for the lose -
I've got a screen shot in the aoe ko blow test period days... I think I'll submit that picture
It's the Haymaker one I'm gunna submit tho because it's got a cool shockwave to go with it.
EDIT: I realize now that there is no Tsoo here and thus invalidated. I leave it here for you guys to laugh at my noobiness.
Haymaker
Rules don't say anything about test serverOf course, she's originally from liberty, so I'll mention both servers. Hopefully that's legal :/
Yeah.. it's prolly as good as I'll get. Maybe I'll get another one tho. -
As I recall, all attacks drain end, but only occasionally will they return end to you. As such, I'm not sure how reliable they are. If I were you, I'd test it out.
Hopefully someone else who has done this can share their experience. -
[ QUOTE ]
If you could drain a boss to 0 at the start of a fight, that would be something, kind of like other sets' mag 4 hold/stun attacks do.
[/ QUOTE ]
I believe you could get close with slotted power sink (especially now that it takes a straight %), then finish him off a few attacks later. Of course, power sink is an electric armor ability, but everyone is pretty much considering the 2 sets together. I wouldn't slot any of the attacks in the electric set for end mod (unless it was for pvp)... maybe chain induction since xp loss sucks anyways, but I don't know if the increased end mod would carry over to the bouncing targets.
