In my opinion, with the way buffs/debuffs stack in this game I can see why the devs are not really leaning on "improving" Trick Arrow. The playerbase obviously feels differently, but Trick Arrow gives us a glimpse of what the dev team feels overall not just for that power set but others as well. In other words, if Trick Arrow is the base line, it is possible other power sets are above and beyond what the devs feel is acceptable.
Lots of assumptions on my part, but seems reasonable. -
ELA is interesting but EA pretty much is superior in most cases now. Ice on the other hand is amazing.

Even despite diminishing returns, you actually can yield something out of slotting beyond three slots in stamina (eg six slotting stamina with SO's is actually a good idea). But since with IO's it is far easier to obtain recovery set bonuses it isn't worth the opportunity cost really.
Traps is very end heavy when it was ported to Corruptors compared to masterminds.
I think DP has better synergy with Traps because its heavy hitters requires you to be near melee range which is where Traps works best. AR requires you set up cones, which makes it more cumbersome, and AR is end heavy too (eg Flamethrower). -
You are too low of a level to see any benefit of poison. Poison Trap (35) and Venomous Gas (38) redefines how the set plays.

This is good advice. ^^^
Sometimes you don't need to spend billions to make a build better than capable of beyond SO's. DP and Devices offers this flexibility ironically (with SO's it is very ordinary). -
I agree with the original poster. We are reaching a saturation point where the new content starts to lose value, which is where the revamp of older content starts to take re-emergent priority IMO.

Re-draw has no effect on DPS.
BR requires precision to use properly. If you try to play BR like an AoE machine you are probably doing it wrong. In a way like trying to use AR primarily single target instead of AoE. -
Thank you for confirming that you can't admit when you are wrong. Older brother = always means that he was born first before the younger brother. Unless English isn't your first language, you essentially don't have a leg to stand on.

Quote:You don't need to lock down most of the spawn when most of it is blown up into smitherings.Forgetting that Psychic wail is a death sentence without build up, (Usually is even with build up), scramble thoughts and taser are just too damn slow. You try locking down a large spawn one mob at a time and they will kill you before you are a third of the way through.

Quote:You pretty much picked the safest combo by accident.I think we should remember that any combo in this game can be effective. The point of my request was to judge relative performance. I hope to make Psi/Devices work. I just don't want it to be as easy as most other combos in the game to do so.
Elec/Dev on the other hand is a piece of ****.

Storm existed before Cold Domination. Yes, Storm is the big brother of little Cold.

Sonic Resonance's Liquefy has -Recharge? I did not know this. o.O

Quote:Not when paired with Devices. Caltrops + Trip mine they can't do anything about it if you set it up properly. The problem with Psi anything is it is overwhelmingly single target oriented and only has psi tornado to neutralize/mitigate incoming damage from an entire spawn. High multiples for difficulty mean the spawns can shred you at range while you are trying to kill them off one at a time.
You have two stuns in Psi (Psychic Wail and Scramble Thoughts) with a stun in Device (Taser) if you need to come into melee range. You also have access to a sleep (Will Domination). -
They need to re-work all the old pools/epics and then go back to making new shinys.

Note the differences between Accuracy and To Hit.

It is rare to mezzed as Devices if you play your cards right. -
Storm is the big brother of Cold Domination. Storm is right up there with Dark and Rad, so yeah...
-
Psi Blast receives a bad rep, but it actually works well with Devices. Caltrops allows you to create distance and take advantage of Psi Blast's range. Also, Psi Blast's secondary effect is more useful solo wise than Elec. Psi has a sleep where you can then toe bomb safely. You can also stack stuns with Psi Blast + Devices, while Elec...can yeah...
-
Agreed with others. TD allows for you to just need to slot 1 SO ACC and you are good to go.
-
Traps is fun, but yeah it has downsides and this is one of them.

Quote:Nothing compares to Fire so that isn't a compelling argument. :PMy bad. End game, from my sense, usually means the iTrials. Since in most MMOs cap level raids are considered "End Game Content".
But yeah, IDF/Warworks have some crazy resistance. Of course DP can use fire ammo to get by this as well, but if you compare them in contrast to a full on fire blast set or something they're rather lacking. I hope after this Praetoria nonsense we get a larger variety on enemies with resists. -
Dark is nice with DP for the obvious reasons. But AR/Traps isn't bad as there is synergy between the two, but not my cup of tea.
AR is known for ranged AoE, so if that is what you want then you are good to go. -
I hope Penny is adopted by a circus family soon so she disappears from the CoX universe.
