Sonic/energy (contrary to Jum) is actually an amazing PvP set and in the all ranger brawl there res decrease did serious damage. If you fit atctics into the build ten your problem will be over come. I'd say still go for sonic!

It certainly does look like a good set. I want my next blaster to be all about the range, rather than the high damage of blapping. ANd there is plenty of 'offensive' control in energy/ice, Ice patch being such an awesomely powerful staple. Hmmm, seriously considering this now...

Hmm the only toon ideas I could think of today that I ws REALLy interested in was a rad/rad defender (which we have one of) and a fire/kin corruptor ( which arn't useable in hero lad yet). So at the drawing board at the moment. I need damage to the max!

Surely Kin/rad would be potent. Due to all the to-hit rolls kin has to take, the defence debuff rad would surely be a god send.

I've seen one or two on the forums and would certainly be interested in hearing your build also. I'm considering that set for my second blaster. I"m considering alot of sets to be fair, but after Ice/NRG is appears to be an approiate choice.

I'm most likely in Edge. It's a great idea but I need to get Rogeu to 50. Just give me time to come up with a suitable toon and get Rogue there Will get back to you with a toon type.

I do also stand by my idea from Team speak: let the winner of the bouts have even more control and get them to control builds until the next match. COuld be hilarious and will alow people to get some amussing revenge. Hopefully a regular team will emerg from this, which will be cool.

Yeah my issues is that I don't have enough slots for the powers I want! I'm also concerend with how to maximise manoueverability (sp?) as I reckon that'll be key with stalkers, even in PvE. Am I wrong on this. And should i take stealth for PvE or only if I ever want to PvP (In which case, I'll respec later)

I have a really cool concept for this build flying round my head. The problem is I've never played a stalker and not sure how a few things wor. Therefore everything in both sets (bar barrage) sounds great and I want to take them all! But I can't if I want iit to be workable. SO what would you guys advise.

A couple of questions to:

Smoke bomb; if you throw this with hide on do you become hidden. Or do you need to turn hide off so that you can turn it on once you've placated them.

Does using placate with hide on once you've been discovered keep you hidden as opposed to the short hide you'd otherwise get.

Do I need stamina if most things will die in few hits (if I can implement smoke bomb, placate, hide and blinding powder well)?

Am I right in thinking that stun will be useful? AN essential power?

Oh and what does the assasin strike look like? Is there a new animation and does it look as damn cool as it should?

I really don't think slotting for damage is a good idea. Brutes fury generates huge damage (300% boost when maxed if I recall correctly) so you'd attack much more effeciently if you slotted for acc, endredux and recharge. More damage would be overkill and woulnd't help keep fury up. This slotting is efficient and allows you to keep going and do what brutes to best: Smash. Constantly.

Smog was a brave cat, with a reckless nature, even though he did enjoy the beauty of life. So, this morning, to exercise both of these passions, he climbed the greenest, freshest tree he could find, and perched on a thick bough above a clutter of clueless birds. It was breakfast time.
Smog liked Perez Park. He’d become accustomed to the action that often went on, and most people seemed to have better things to shoot or hit in these parts. He could see a group of red and white clad humans hiding behind a rock, but it really didn’t bother him; they’d most likely deal with those other humans down below and be on their way. They were a fair distance off anyway, so he wasn’t going to let them get in the way of his tantalizing breakfast.
It was now the time to strike; the food was nearly gone and it was plain the birds were feeling pretty full. He coiled himself up and sprang from the branch with unmatched grace. The starving smog spread his claws and prepared to meet his destiny…

Frozen Rogue took a deep breath and embraced the fresh day. He liked working on day’s like this, when the sun shined and water sparkled he really felt blessed that his job allowed him to enjoy God’s green earth.

Frozen was snapped back to reality without warning and looked up. A blinding flash lit up the already sun-kissed forest as bodies were thrown everywhere. The commander frowned; he was all for fun and all for dealing with perpetrators, but some acts just seemed like a waste of human life. A grinning Accel was slumped several feet away “God I love doing that sometimes!” Frozen frowned again; he didn’t like blasphemy, even though the impetuous youngster meant nothing by it.

“That was quite a display Accy, my boy” commented a clearly amused PowerSWAT “but I think what you just blew up calls for closer inspection,” now beginning to chuckle. Frozen looked around to see what on earth SWAT had seen. He scanned left and right and saw nothing; no hellions has landed in funny positions, or impaled themselves on there weaponry. It had been quiet a clean display. “I fail to see your amusement sometimes Squad Leader”

“Look at the wall Rogue”

Frozen turned, and couldn’t help but chuckle. Splattered against a wall were the bloody remains of a street tom and a varied collection of birds. And they had landed in a shape that resembled a smiling face.

Now I'm not an expert but I have picked up one or things from these here boards on brutes.

You don't need to slot for damage. It should be a very low priority. Why? Because Fury supplies you with all the damage you need! You just need to focus on using quick attacks to build it up.

Also, there is no point slotting more than three enhancements of the same type anymore because of 'Enhancement Diversification'. The general rule of thumb is that any enhancement after the third provides a miniscule buff not worth taking at all.

I also wouldn't slot super jump for jump. It's jump is amazing as it is!

6 slot your attacks to; that's what a brute was made to centre around; attacks. Stick recharges in to keep a quick attack chan, accuracies to hit and end reducers to keep a constant chain going. I would have thought two of each would be advisable slotting, but I may be a little off.

It's a cool idea but you so could make it for every AT! Think about it... the top tier pet off MM's have fire powers, maybe they've gifted your ninja with similar abilities...

And a fire brute to... If you focus on sword attacks... Rather tempted to do this... actually but I'm trying to get my hero main to 50 at the mo
