Got Loath in here last night, taking a totally different PvP role from my hero.; Being Dark/Thermal, He's very suited to nulifying threats and protecting, healing his allies. SO that' what I'm gonna do. If you on a team with me, you know you're gonna keep on fighting!

The people to PM for AR/dev tips are Synasthetix and Doulos. They are both highly skilled players and know there stuff. And I'll know they'll both be happy to help you out!

You know, she owns Scapegoat for the prettiest ranger spot!

By the way, children have the neccaray motor skills to move a mouse at the age of 2, so I expect her to be blasting alongside me in 2 years time!

Rogue is PvP specific,m but I'm afraid He ain't gonna switch SGS. But when he hits 50 I may just have to roll another blaserf or you guys! But when you get to PvP ;evel, as I have said before, Let me know, and I'll help you own/pound you into freezingcold, dizzy oblivion!

Try and fit Super speed in; Chives owns with this. This is just a suggestion, to consider but I reckon it should work well. Key binds will help here:

1) Your hovering above a target. With invis on.
2)Hit an attack to draw weapon, start to hover in.
3) Turn on fly and SS to get in close. WHen low to ground, turn off fly.
4) Switch off invis for stealth as you approach target and stack an attack.
5) Run past your target and let fly with your biggest hitting attack or Lotus drops (I might mean Divine Avanlanche here; which ever one is the parry attack) for the plus defence, then your biggest attack.

Your playing like a makeshift stalker, but with more surviability. With a Katana you need the element of Surprise as it's not the heaviest hitter which is why I'm suggesting this. But it's quick, so if you can pull this off and keep spamming your parry in between your hard hitters, you should be able to take a foe out and move on with little hassle!

With Ice Energy, it very much depends what your aiming to play in. From the looks of this, it looks like your going for PvP; Ice/ENergy blasters rule there, as I'm sure you must know! But my build functions well In PvE to due to the rate it skills, so you should be fine with this advice either way! That's if you trust me

Your slotting for your Single target attacks (bar Ice bolt and the recharges of total focus, where I have enreds) is exactly the same as mine. THis slotting rocks as it keeps up a good attack chain. Punch and smasher circle really quite fast with the recharges, and bearing in mind you may need a couple of attacks chains to take down the likes of Stone-tanks, then that Slotting is golden. But I would try and fit Ice bolt earliar, as it's a nice filler and it does 60% damage of ice blast for have the end cost and recharge time.

I haven't taken either Frost Breath or Bitter Freeze ray for the same reason; their activation is just to slow and sluggish, particulary BFR. Your much better off slotting Freeze ray with a couple of rechrges and considering hasten (this'll also let you take SS as your Travel power which is great for darting up close and dropping toggles/pounding to oblivion!) if you want to Perma hold bossess in PvE. Or better yet take an epic with a second hold, like electric!

This next bit is most useful in PvP. I've taken invis and hover for Squishie hunting. Power boost increases the speed of hover(slotted with 3 recharges making it recharges very quick, nearish perma with hasten)and doubles the buffs from aim and build up. I can then drop invis and drop their toggles, dealing massive damage, freeze them, then finish them off. Then pick out the next target. ANd with SS to run away from threats and then reinvis, you have a fair bit of passive surviability.

THe Rangers is all about being a community of blasters. ALl you need to be a member is a deisre to contribute to our community and you need to have a blaster! You have the second one for sure and if you reckon you have the first then we best get you on board...

One more thing from another ranger, this time Ice/energy, so I can only give you tips on your secondary. Plus I'm a bit of a PvP specialist...

1) Join the rangers. They are an awesome group of people and you really learn alot. EEveryone except flick (to my knowledge) who posted on this thread is a ranger and as you can see we're all keen to help fellow blasters!

2. The thing that hasn't been mentioned so far is the power of power boost. This doubles secodary effects, but what some people forget is that it boost your self buffs to. Thus when yused with both aim and build up you get a total of 324% (or something very close... definetly over 3 hundred!) buff to both accuracy and damaage!!!!!! Now tell me that's not powerful!!!

3. COmbine that with your melle attacks and not you will own. Contrary to what Doulos said, i'd advised slotting your secodaries for damage. hy? BEcause if you slot enough recharges in power boost you can make it very near perma. Stick it auto fire and the disorient duration will be double anyway. WOnce you have slotted for damage, the time poduced will be more than enough. Same goes with the knockback in the primaries. I don't have much experience with it, but from what I have seen in PvP if you keep knocking them back and then zip in with super speed to hammer them with melee, it's makes a powerful form of soft control, not giving your opponents (in both PvP and PvE) time to attack. Note this does work best with Power boost on autofire.

But above all join the rangers dude!

The I have found most noticable about ED as it has actually encouraged people to think away from the standard. Which was the whole point of it. Every build had few differences as there were optimum standars pretty much for each combination. ED has allowed some great builds in the rangers to flourish; Check out Doulos' Tele-mining-sniper-of-long-ranged-death or my Invisible-but-then-very-suddenly-in-your-face-non-stop-attack-chain-with meny-a-potent-mez-blapper as good examples (note, these are the latest respec plans). Other Rangers could testify to that they have managed to be much more imaginative. It's true that these concepts were available before, but with the slight changes some of these are actually more potent (the end discount does help) and it has forced people to up their game. I'm enjoying the game alot more under ED. I love the extra thinking one has to do and I am finding it very rewarding. I have just come up with a killer respec (with thanks to a mysterious benefactor ) so expect to be seeing my name around more often! I'm out to proove that ED is awesome and that radicly different from the previous norm builds can still be uber potent!
