So Blood of the Black Stream will probably debut in the issue where the Egyptian zone/enemies does, which Statesman hinted at in issue 4 on the forums.

Arena tournament badges? HA. U gotta b kidding. I think they should work on gettin the badges for those that did the Shards TFs or other TFs. Never mind for half dozen or so people who play in the Arena...
[/ QUOTE ]
There's a difference between having to datamine 18 months of data for a handful of badges that people can earn by redoing a TF and just making badges ACTIVE and ABLE TO BE EARNED instead of just sitting there in their bugged state. Maybe then, with the badges working correctly, more people would actually use the arena.
Now go back to your poorly spelt manifestos against the devs. -
The arena badges aren't for ratings, they are for winning a tournament in the chosen weight class.
Sure, you can just enter a tournament with 7 friends and have them quit and get the badge, but I don't think anyone takes PvP (and by proxy, PvP badges) that seriously in this game. -
Positron, they aren't TF badges, but can you let us know when Arena Tournament badges will actually work? Are tournaments fixed in issue 5? Is this is priority?
Seems like it's been a while with only 1 new badge in an update (Issue 4 only had Kill Skuls). -
Because petitioning still takes up GM time that could be better saved stopping player harassment from other players, catching copyright infringers, and helping people out with bugged mission objectives.

Seriously, I enjoy Auto-Exemplaring down to stuff, as you don't even have to worry about experience, finding someone to RSK you, and the like. I'm sure I'm in the minority, in regards to being largely unconcerned with xp (or even trying to minimize xp gain at times). Still, it's fun to just sort-of "jump in and play".
[/ QUOTE ]
I agree. With only 1 character slot left on my server being reserved for I5, I've been RSKing like crazy with Taser for TFs. We've done Moonfire close to 7 times, Hess 5 times, Eden twice, Psyche twice, as well as Citadel, Numina, and Positron. It's been a blast and I've been rolling in influence from it. -
Yeah, last week I just decided to do Citadel one day on invince. Most of the maps were very small and it only took us about 90 minutes to 2 hours to do it. Definitely wasn't as huge as it once was.
Which Shard TF has that bug? I haven't seen it yet. Closest thing to a bug we've had in the Shard on a TF was a Shadow Cyst spawning in a room full of +4 Rularuu. We had to have everyone log to reset the mission since we couldn't get past it without a teamwipe. -
[ QUOTE ]
Moonfire is very nice and neat, until you get to the AV at the end. She has a self-heal power (that I think costs about 45 END for PCs) that she can *spam* that heals about 1.8k for each melee person. Any scrappers and tankers become absolute liabilities. Heavy Defender/controller teams with scrappers for damage didn't work at all.
[/ QUOTE ]
I haven't seen that. And my SG has been running Moonfire almost nightly to gain influence for I5's new badges. I actually thought the end AV was quite the pushover. It's funny, because I could easily be one-shotted by a Council boss if he hits me right with a kick, but the AV would do almost no damage to us and drop in 2-3 minutes. It also helps to have as many people in melee range with status protection, too, since if she pops Inky Aspect, it'll only do damage to herself. I've had her killsteal from us by self-destructing with Aspect countless times.
It's kind of like Burkholder. He's not a tough AV, his room is. -
Citadel was changed in issue 3. It's actually quite short and fun now.
As for Shard TFs, I find them all to be fun and, for the most, easy XP. Especially Augustine. The delivery missions alone could next a non-50 a half a level. Augustine should only take even a pick-up team 3-4 hours at most.
Quarterfield could be daunting, but I did it 3 times before the idea of a badge for it was even hinted at. Hell, I did it twice before I even got the souveneir for it. -
[ QUOTE ]
So let us send a petition and ask for our badges individually. Hell, if even THAT would take too long, then just give everyone that petitions about it a badge for it and be done. What's the worst that could happen... someone that didn't do the TF gets the badge for it? I mean honestly, would the world really stop spinning if that happened?
[/ QUOTE ]
What's the worse that can happen? Customer Service will be swapped with people petitioning for badges they may or may not have earned and other people who are seriously stuck in a timed mission or are being harassed have their GM intervention delayed because of a badge. -
[ QUOTE ]
Wow, now that is impressive and deserves a badge for sure! Could you provide some more details of your tactics. For instance, what did your group consist of, because whatever you say, I'm pretty much going to duplicate, lol.
[/ QUOTE ]
Off the top of my head, I think we had...
Warshade
Invul/SS Tanker
Rad Defender
Dark/Regen Scrapper
MA/SR Scrapper
Ice Blaster
And...uh... some other ATs. Can't remember since we did this about a month ago.
The big ones were the warshade who I used to fly and TP the rest of the team to missions and also to use the shade phase shift to ghost the missions. Just make sure 4 people have superspeed and some kind of stealth or they are really good at timing when Phase Shift crashes. -
Team of 8 (with my warshade leading) did Quarterfield in 3 hours, 15 minutes ghosting the 4 glowie missions and clearing everything else.
-
How are they punishing those of us who did it before issue 5?
I've done Moonfire 5 times in the last 3 weeks and the Shard TFs countless times. Why did I do them? For the influence.
There was never any promise of a badge for these TFs until issue 5. Some people got a souveneir as a reward, but most had to petition for even that.
It's not like they are going back and taking away any XP and influence you might have gotten on the TF. And it's not like you can't ghost Quarterfield in 3 hours with a team with 4 people with stealth. -
[ QUOTE ]
If you aren't going to data-mine, at LEAST make badges for EVERY trial/TF in the game. If I remember right, there are NO badges for the TFs in the Shadow Shard. Make them, give people a REASON to do these TFs!
[/ QUOTE ]
That's what we're talking about. They added badges for the Shard TFs. But you have to do them after issue 5 to get them. -
[ QUOTE ]
So if i'm reading this right, i'm going to lose all my TF badges once i5 hits?
[/ QUOTE ]
Only Moonfire and the Shard TFs are part of this.
You will not have any badges taken away when issue 5 hits. -

2) The LoneSTAR SG uniform requires 4 colors (Red, White, Blue, Gold). The SG costume option only allows for 2 colors. This would greatly hamper us in our chosen appearance. Will you expand the SG costume options to include 4 color choices?
[/ QUOTE ]
You can use the colors you have now in SG-Mode. The only thing that's mandatory in SG mode is the chest symbol. You can enter SG mode and have it just change that symbol and not touch your colors at all.
As for SG costumes: it seems that most SGs in Marvel use SG colors. DC tends not to. Just because you are in SG mode doesn't mean you all have to wear the same colors and costumes. My SG functions a lot like the X-Men or Gen13 where everyone has a different looking costume with the same theme (black/white and the crash dummy symbol). -
It does.
It's like Eye of Magus except it improves your damage and accuracy for a period of time while also giving you a defense debuff.
Check VidiotMaps.com's I5 badge section for more info. -

Also, just clarification, but is the badge for stopping the rave, or is it a SupaTroll count?
[/ QUOTE ]
I got the first badge for stopping something like 50-100 trolls from entering the building and turning into SupaTrolls.
My team then started killing SupaTrolls to see if that's how you get the second badge. We didn't find out before daylight hit and the rave despawned. -
Of course, when you have dozens of posters who overread into anything Statesman posts and takes it as an insult, it gets kind of hard to respect those posters, too.
-
My god, Snorii, I can't stop watching your avatar.
As for mission customization, hopefully the kinks will be worked out of the 30 Pumpkinhead mission that has everyone thrown for a loop.
I agree with Snorii, too: FlowerKnight's AI seemed pretty accuracte. Sadly, she wasn't of very much used to me after I saved her, though. I'm waiting until issue 5 hits to rescue Statesman and finally proclaim, "I'm on a rampage!" for the last time with my warshade before sonic defnder time, though. -
I would just like a clear dev description of the defiance bar. It seems that, once you get it full, even if you don't do any damage or regen your health, it starts shrinking down. And the fact that you can use it up seems weird.
Is defiance a "limited affair" where you get the damage boost for only a few powers even if you remain at that hitpoint level?
It should be that you REMAIN at that damage buff point as long as you remain that low at health. From a concept point, a blaster doing more damage while the chips were done wouldn't suddenly stop doing damage while the chips were still down only because he's already done 2-3 attacks. -
I have a sonice/ice blaster currently up to level 7 so far on text (The Hyperbole) and I'm loving sonic blast so far. A few points to make:
* I love the rapidfire DoT. As an elec blaster and a warshade, I've never seen that before like my AR brothers have. It actively made me insanely giddy to see those numbers fly above the head, even if they were all 1s and 2s.
* The sounds need work, especially for female heroes like my blaster. It sounds like she's Buffalo Bill telling us to put the lotion on the skin everytime she opens her mouth. Even though I usually play with the sound off so I can listen to background CDs, it would be nice if the sounds were a bit more gender-neutral.
* I'm amazed at the range these powers have. If you are slyly hinting that us blasters should be blasting from the edge of our ranges, consider me game to your ploy. -
I understand the huge numbers needed on some badges (1 billion hitpoints of damage taken, etc) because the devs probably figure we won't get that for a year or two.
As for the Croatoa badges, had a blast getting them. Not so much with the liking of the sizes, though. I'd shrink them down to standard-badge size if that isn't a bug.
TF badges are a welcome addition, but please datamine them. Also, can we please have a Calvin Scott TF badge that's datamined? A lot of people did that TF and never got a souveneir or even notice that they did it. A badge would help them out.
Also: "Pumpkin Master?" Goofiest badge name ever since "Bridge." -
It seems everytime I zone into Steel a fire has just been put out. But other than that, great new events and great new badges for them!

Oh, and was Havoc Punch nerfed in PvE or not. After several PMs we still have conflicting answers!
[/ QUOTE ]
CuppaJo told me that it hasn't been nerfed anywhere, that it was a mix-up and it's a change that's in the pipeline and hasn't been implemented yet.
I think.
I wish we could get some official word on this, too.
