Bodyguard

I'm pretty sure _Castle_ said it counted all damage

So you're saying they'll divy up the Unresistable portion too?
I duno man, that sounds like more coding than it's worth to me...

[/ QUOTE ]

It takes the entire block of damage and apportions it by the ratios described. For the Mastermind, he then gets his Resistances applied, while the pets get no resistance to the shared damage.

In the case of unresistable damage, therefore, all damage is apportioned, then resists apply normally -- the unresisted portion is still unresisted, but it is reduced by the Bodyguard.

edit: bah!! beaten to the punch!! Well, this looks like I'm finally gonna hafta look into macros for those tough Hero/EB battles and PVP. Ah well, I guess you can't cruise on the basic three forever...
2. I mentioned this in a more general discussion of the PPP, but I think it bears repeating here. You dismiss the toggle 'defenses' in general, but there are some important differences in my mind. For example, Black Scorpian's shield is a defense where the other Patrons have resistances. This could be quiet a boon to /traps /dark (to some degree) and of coarse /FF (depending on the final numbers). By stacking this sheild with my FF gen (I'm a /traps), and possibly stealth/manuevers/vengence I'm better off than if I was to take a resistance (especially with I7 changes to defense calculations).

Another thing about the aoe immobilizes, they make the use of cover during fights even more productive. With decent accuracy you can use the ole 'root and dash', leaving enemies clumped up nicely for ranged aoe's of merc's and robos while experiencing very little retaliation.

Just a couple of my thoughts...

Net Arrow: Removed Recharge debuff from Net arrow (Set already has many recharge debuffs)
[/ QUOTE ]

This power needs help, only controllers will take it (forced to) and they will probably resent it. Perhaps an auto knockback to keep the enemy off of you, or anything really to make it desirable.

<ul type="square">
Acid Arrow: Reduced Damage Resistance debuff of Acid Arrow. (Set has 2 damage resistance debuffs that could stack)

Disruption Arrow: Reduced Damage Resistance debuff of Disruption Arrow. (Set has 2 damage resistance debuffs that could stack). Increased Recharge rate of Disruption Arrow to 120 for Defender and Controller to prevent multiple stacking
[/ QUOTE ]

Perhaps instead of giving the set two half powers that debuff resistance, changing one to debuff something else (perhaps defense) would be an alternate way to go.
4. TA doesn't belong as a controller secondary, having two single target holds at second level is too powerful. If the set is kept as a controller secondary, Ice arrow should be placed later in the powerset, perhaps 6th or 7th.

Net arrow isn't worthy of the set. If it was a blaster secondary, it would be.
5. I'm a controller at heart, and I've been looking for a new alt (I've got a Double D defender, and Double ice blaster, and a Large team tank already... so I needed a scrapper). I read through your post a long time ago, and recently decided to make a scraptroller of my own.

Here's the mapped out build:

I've made it to level 11 so far, and things are going well (except I never have any end, of course). My resistances will run around 50% (a little lower for toxic and psionic), And my defenses will eventually(late) run around 25%. I'm hoping that I can keep myself alive with my controlling abilities.

Right now, I'm doing well with touch of fear. I can often even rest in solo combat if I run outa end while fighting several minions and the occasional Lt (which is sadly sometimes needed). I only run what toggles I need, often opting out of most or all, but I imagine I'll have less and less chance at that. My fear is that my endurance problem won't go away, ever...

Besides end, my main problem is robots and other enemies that are fear resistant. Since my damage mitagation is fear, they're going to prove my most damaging foes. This is why I included Opressive Gloom in the build (which I might take before Dark Regeneration). Other difficulties I see are a lack of offensive attacks and the iffy nature of Dark Regeneration (I'm stuck with only three punches till I reach the 40's, and DR cost 50 end!!!). I fear this will only add to my end woes as it will prolong fights.

Something I did just for fun was take Death Shroud. It should provide some decent amusement on teams with good tanks and /or controllers.

Anyway, tell me what ya think.

6. I'm sure this was already mentioned, but I remember when the real kiyotee helped out noobs including me.

I remember running the tram circuit before the menu and rounding the conrner to find a huge crowd frozen at the gate becuase the next zone had crashed.

I remember the invaision of atlas park by hellions and clockwork robots and the great fun it was... everyone yelling out locations and happily fighting along side each other.

I remember that the elation of finally getting flight was almost a match for my first steps into atlas park.

I remember when Lost dominated an online interview, when Poison and Boxhead microscopicly analyzed each screen shot, the night Ground Control got banned, the endless speculation during the long dark info blackout, Sabercats other forum programs that listed the top 500 most active posters... and so on and so forth...
