This may be a busier time, I dont know. But is it better to mildly inconvenience 30,000 or greatly inconvenience 10,000?
[/ QUOTE ]
So it's a "great" inconvenience when it's scheduled during Aussie prime time, but if it gets changed to another group of players prime time it drops to only a "mild" inconvenience for the new players affected. -

So where is the super tailor/cosmetic surgeon? It said it would be "near the tailor," but I'm Cap Au Diable on CoV right now and can't find it. (And yes, I've purchased the super science booster pack)
[/ QUOTE ]
In cap its in the last room, by the named facemaker for your level 30 CC mission.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or he can use the tailor in Pocket D. -

Confirmation?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, I don't have any confirmation, but let's look at it this way. Architect Edition was boxed and set up and advertised as "Your choice between two exclusive in-game item packs, the Cyborg Pack or the Magic Pack."
If they changed it so that Super Science booster pack would be included, all unsold boxes would have to be recalled and new boxes printed up with the new option.
Part of that is 'Truth in Advertising'. If they include something that is not advertised, they could potentially sued for not disclosing all info of what is available as a bonus.
There would also be an uproar of buyers of the edition before Super Science who wanted it included and not having a choice to select it when later buyers have the option.
A good example is the pre-order helmets that are now available as part of a vet badge, I believe there are still players who resent that, believing it was their right for buying the preorder and it shouldn't be available to anyone else.
[/ QUOTE ]
There may be a few but I believe most were satisfied because before the vet reward they were stuck with only one, the vet reward gave them access to all of them. -
[ QUOTE ]
I would not be opposed to this.
HOWEVER. That said, I understand why they do it on Friday mornings. They are trying to get the servers ready for the weekend high periods of activity, which probably take place Friday and Saturday nights U.S. time. If they moved the maintenance to Thursday, there might be more problems come Friday and Saturday night for us.
[/ QUOTE ]
This. -
Stealing from you? Yeah that's a load of BS. You didn't buy the booster so you're not out any money. Your sub fee only gets you access to the servers. The company doesn't promise anything more than that.
-
Yep that's what it was. My apologies to the bug report staff for my stupidity.

Strange that the outnumbered side is virtually always the side that's pushed back to their base. I can't figure out why that is.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh so you're saying that the villain base on Bloody Bay needs to be redesigned so heroes can't camp just outside of the drones and snipe villains in order to prevent them from leaving the zone. -
[ QUOTE ]
are you using the special tailors, only some are marked to let you alter body stuffSurgeons and whats her name in Pocket D
[/ QUOTE ]
Really? I'll have to double check which one I was at in the Icon.
Thanks for the info! -

but giving them access to the ability to make farms is not the farmers fault,
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm sorry to disagree with you but that's not a valid defense. That's like saying that since the car manufacturers build cars that go faster than the speed limit it's ok to speed.
Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do something.
Next someone will trot out the "It's just a game" excuse and by doing so imply that it's ok to break the rules as long as you can trivialize it. -
I bought the Science booster and logged a character. I traded in some Halloween salvage for the extra slot but when I went to tailor it wouldn't let me change my body type on either slot.
I logged onto another character that already had multiple costume slots and went to the tailor and that one worked fine.
I went back to the first character and the booster still doesn't work for it. -
[ QUOTE ]
$24.99! Why, "I'd would buy that for a dollar!"
[/ QUOTE ]
Nice Robocop quote.
Shame you couldn't work in a reference to the 6000 SUX. -
I won't be happy until I can make a male hero weaing female clothes.
I've been wanting to make a character inspired by the Rocky Horror Picture Show for years. -
[ QUOTE ]
Well they need to do something
[/ QUOTE ]
No they don't.
[ QUOTE ]
because some servers are getting so small and people are leaving the game because they dont want to pay $10 for each character to transfer to another server; however a bulk transfer purchase might change some minds.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is the same BS claim that gets made every time there's a 2xp weekend by people that play solely on the high population servers and are mad they will have trouble logging on during the event. It hasn't been true in the past and it isn't true now. The game has a healthy and steady population of 120,000+ customers.
In fact with the introduction of the AE, they have reduced the need for server transfers. Now it is very easy to start new characters on other servers and level them in a painless fashion. (without having to resort to exploits) -
For me the dislike is about personal preference. I don't like the Hollows so I don't go there. I feel the same about the PvP zones. I like hunt missions and even patrol missions.

[ QUOTE ]
For a nominal fee of $24.99 (plus applicable taxes), allow players to swap the contents of two servers. For example, pick Triumph and Freedom: Every character and purchased/awarded character slot on Triumph is transferred to Freedom, and vice-versa. A bulk rate for character transfers, if you will.
[/ QUOTE ]
I would do this.
[/ QUOTE ]
And this is why the devs will NEVER offer this service. They don't want people doing it. It defeats the purpose of making the fee for a transfer just high enough to discourage all but the most determined customers. -
[ QUOTE ]
If all the contact is doing is sending you to some other active contact --- and you will have Wincott active after doing this, even if you don't have his book
[/ QUOTE ]
If you drop the mission instead of going to him, you will never have him on your list.
[ QUOTE ]
I wish we could get rid of the Security Chiefs, Visit PvP Zone contact, and Hero Corps Representative in King's Row that easily. I just started a new character; and decided I would run old contact material for gits and shiggles after getting the AP temp travel power. I ran into the same brick wall on two separate contacts: all they would offer me after a point were Security Chiefs or street hunts in Perez Park. No thank'ee, back to the radio.
[/ QUOTE ]
EvilGeko has a point. Since the AE we are getting an increasing number of players that don't know where other zones are. Thes missions that are annoying to us are now serving a purpose by introdicing these new players to parts of the game they didn't know existed. That's a good thing. -

I'm sorry but the situation described by the OP is either a bug, or he simply isn't interacting with Wincott to complete the mission.
At no point does this game force anyone to do the Hollows missions.
People have told him what to do to clear the mission. -

I have a right to vent when people are stupid and I have a right to expect to be treated as a paying customer. If I want a email notice, then I should get one when it involves important issues like this. I am not going to pick apart every thread daily, I have better things to do with my life. I do not like being judged guilty till proven innocent, and if you support a system like that then you have got some serious rethinking to do about life.

We were warned about even making missions that could LOOK like a farm. Just because you try to give it 5 seconds worth of backstory doesn't make it NOT a farm... fyi
[/ QUOTE ]
We were warned SPECIFICALLY about making an arc with "Farm" in the title EVEN AS A JOKE. Guess they were serious.
You can still get your slot back (if your arc truly isn't a farm), but now you need to contact customer support and have them review the arc.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes we clearly warned about it in this thread.
[ QUOTE ]
Players are urged to avoid using common farming terms in their story title and/or descriptions. Even if its a joke, DO NOT run the risk of having an arc banned and requiring Customer Support to grant you your publishing slot back.
[/ QUOTE ]
[/ QUOTE ]
Swell, I did not get the "memo". How about an email to all subscribers next time? Just because they post it in a thread does not mean I read it or even come here much anymore. I pay to play like everyone else, a simple email warning would have been nice.
Well when they finally "see" what the story is, it will pass with flying colors. I just dislike being judged by some pimple faced 15 year old or joker with an evil bend or some guy who takes everything to extreme. Further the story was not even well played owing to the lowered output XP. It only had 60 reviews in all this time. 60 does not even come close to a "farm". It was published the second week of AE to show you how under the radar it was.
I want to face my accuser next time, make them tell me why they think it is a farm and prove it to me.
[/ QUOTE ]
1. You weren't judged by some kid or evil joker. You were judged by a GM. Now it's on you to appeal the GM's decision.
2. The number of people that have tried your arc has no bearing on weether or not it is a farm. There are thousands of arcs out there, with more being made every day. It's impossible for people to try even a small fraction of them, so many arcs have been tried only a few times.
3. You want to face your accuser. Well too bad. This isn't a court of law. You don't have that right. -
[ QUOTE ]
Can be seen as a farm? Ok, so we are guilty till proven innocent? That is justice?

ROFL . . . Justice . . . Read the EULA.
