Quote:It sounds as if you don't have any experience with the base editor. I suggest that you go to the Supergroup contact in either Atlas Park or Port Oaks and start up an SG and create a base. Once you enter the base you've created you'll see a pop up window with a button that says "Edit Base". Clicking on that will show you the map of the base and you'll be free to add as many rooms and equipment as you can afford to buy with whatever prestige you have earned.Oh, I see. So what would the map be for the Training Room? Would it be built by the SG or the ones used for the Arena?
Teleporters like the Raid teleport must be placed in Teleportation Rooms, and items that set up SG missions or Ouroborus missions must be placed in Control Rooms. You are free to add as many decorative items as you like to customize each rooms appearance.
Now if you are referring to what maps you can access thru the Arena Terminal, it would be no different than what you can currently access at the other Arena Terminal locations -
Quote:Now your taking what was said out of context. What Chase pointed out was that the people that paid for lifetime subscriptions aren't being restricted from getting the exact same thing the current subscribers are getting in those games. They haven't been told they need to start paying a sub fee or their account will be restricted.Sadly, you are wrong. I'm a lifetime subscriber to the aforementioned hairy-footed MMO, and things changed DRASTICALLY for the subscriber. Yes, the old content was not taken away from us in particular, but in order to accomodate for all the f2p players and what they could/could not have access to, seam lines were added into the game to create a "dynamic layering" affect. These regularly cripple play - you can't go into an RP location and randomly RP with strangers when only 20 people are allowed to be in your layer at a time. You can't hold raid-scale open RP events. PvPing has become a nightmare where everyone freezes and loses their targets as we cross seam lines - and there isn't even layering in the PvP zone, it's just the mechanics got put in everywhere.
The problems you're describing affect all players in that particular game from free players, to monthly subscribers, to lifers.
And no I'm not saying I 'd like this game to go F2P. -
/derail thread
Whatever happened to the lawsuit that idiot filed claiming NCSoft makes their games too addictive? Has that been laughed out of court yet? -

Quote:If they make the F2P players use the EU servers they won't have to do #'s 3, 4, and 5.If it does go F2P, all I ask is for the following.
1. That I can still pay my 15 bucks a month to get my CoX fix.
2. Everything continues on like normal otherwise for those paying the sub fee. New issues, new content, that kind of thing.
3. Make all the F2P heroes start in Galaxy City and have to purchase access to Atlas.
4. A new starter zone for Villians given the same treatment.
5. If those cannot be done, at least allow me to ignore all F2P players or at the very least tripple the size of my ignore list. -

Because it's what you've posted.

What impression did you think people would get when you make comments like those? -
Quote:Don't forget that when they do a transfer they delete the character from the original server first to insure that it's not possible for players to end up with identical characters and all the "wealth" they were carrying. If they had a crash during that transfer process all those characters in the process of being moved would be lost. The only reason they've ever charged real money for server transfers is to keep people from randomly server hopping on a whim. Because it requires character data to be copied from one server to another it takes up a certain amount of time and resources to process. The Devs simply don't want people doing it every 5 minutes for S's and G's.
I doubt the Devs would mind giving us occasional "free transfer tokens" or regular scheduled periods of free transfer time. I just don't think we'll ever get to a point where they'll allow free transfers whenever we want 24/7/365. -
Quote:That might actually work. They already have some underused servers. Simply merge all the players paying subscriptions to the NA servers and let the F2P players use the EU servers. This would also have the benefit of drawing most of the RMT scum to those servers.Devil's advocate here... (I was gonna quote the "bless you ClawsandEffect" thread instead). What if they took the path used at least one other recent game giving F2P options and made separate F2P servers? Gives you separation of the two player cultures....
This would also have the benefit of pissing off the people that wrongly think players from other countries should be forced to use "regional" servers and not associate with NA players. -
Quote:The above comments clearly show that the OP has no idea what he's talking about. If he did he'd know that the Korean, Japanese, and Australian players have been using the NA servers for 6 years without any of the problems he claims is happening. He'd also know that aside from Germany most European players experience better gameplay than on the EU servers.I saw a post here and on Blizzard for people requesting unified play for other regions.
This sounds attractive in theory but is difficult due to a well known problem called latency. I'm bring this up not to support unification but to understand this movement.
Latency is a real issue it reduces the quality of play for everyone involved.
1. I hate having my sessions held up because your almost a day away from me.
3. Why would Koreans want to play with NA? I'm just using this as an example. There is a 12 hour difference. I'm getting up, your going to bed.
4. I get plenty of regional spam now on CoH. Why would I want global spam?
Why? Why? Why?
The comment line is now open.
As to this:
Well, let's just say he torpedoed any credibility he might have had with those blatantly inflammatory comments.Quote:2. Quote:I only noticed it after the Halloween event started but I haven't been playing my MM's as much since I18 started so it could have been around since it went live. Last night it happened again and this time I had to shut the game off entirely and restart it from the uploader so the files got rechecked. Release_pets didn't work at all for me. When I resummoned them they appeared where I was but still wouldn't move.i remember first seeing this bug in the i18 beta on my Praetorian Bots/Traps. It seemed to have been fixed in a subsequent patch, but apparently not for good.
i really haven't been playing Masterminds since the beta. Has this been ongoing since 18 was released or is it happening more since the Halloween event started? -
Which quickly happens. Spammers by definition contact as many people as possible in order to advertise their sites. As a result they are forced to keep making new accounts as the old ones get shut down.
-
I certainly wouldn't object if they gave this to us.

The devs don't resolve spammer issues, the GM's do. And what you do to report them is simply type /ignorespammer, or click on their name and choose ignore spammer. That automatically adds them to your ignore list and generates a spammer petition that gets sent to the GM's

Quote:Because most people actually enjoy playing the game as it was intended. I know it sounds hard to believe, but given the choice, the majority of players are willing to pass up the chance to run endless monotonous AE farms and instead run the 6 year old story arcs they fell in love with when they first bought the game.My question there is if 200 tickets = 1 merit is so horrible why aren't people doing mass AE farming now?
Who'd a guessed that people play this game for the content and not the phat lewt they could get by farming.

What I want is just a terminal for the Arena and AE that I can put in my base. They can use the Raid Teleport as the means to enter the missions/maps.
-
Not trying to give you a hard time on this Ben but did you know there's another thread on this that was posted today?
Add a Unique AE Interface for SG/VG Bases
It's usually best to post in a current thread rather than open a new one. Mods have been known to lock or delete threads on the same topic.
Oh and this is something many of us want. I've suggested in the past that they attach this feature to the tech/arcane item they currently use to set up the Cathedral of Pain and use the Raid Teleport as the way to enter the missions. -
It's not just zombies. I've had my mercs do the same thing. I've even had them get stuck changing zones where they just stand at the exit to the Ferry or Train. Even after I managed to dismiss them and resummoned them they reappeared where they were stuck and not where I was at. I've been forced to log off in order to "fix" them.

Use Ouroboros? Do your missions? *Get the exploration badges for the zones?*
I see no reason to have to buy reward merits. No, not everything dumps 50+ merits on you. Doesn't mean farming AE should suddenly be rewarded again.
250-300 tickets? Might as well give everyone 10 merits every time they log in.

You couldn't include the idea of an AE terminal in bases in the duplicate post you made for an Arena terminal?
