Any chance of making them free, permanently? It's a marvelous service which fosters altitis, I find.

The only reason they've ever charged real money for server transfers is to keep people from randomly server hopping on a whim. Because it requires character data to be copied from one server to another it takes up a certain amount of time and resources to process. The Devs simply don't want people doing it every 5 minutes for S's and G's.
I doubt the Devs would mind giving us occasional "free transfer tokens" or regular scheduled periods of free transfer time. I just don't think we'll ever get to a point where they'll allow free transfers whenever we want 24/7/365.

And throw in a free toaster oven as well!!!
I wouldn't mind frequent free transfers... as it does help with the alt-ing a little bit... But... I don't expect them to always give it to me for free when they constantly provide the service for pay.
