Why does it have to be a failed request on one server that leads to a second search? That sounds overly complicated. Why can't they just search all the servers at the same time.

The devs made a game where people can fly and shoot laser beams out of their eyes, surely they can program a name search on all the servers at once. Their frakking geniuses for Crom's sake.

No doing it after Freedom launches is a very good idea.

You are absolutely correct. I totally forgot about the value of the free server transfers. So from our account billing page this is what we have.

1 month: $14.99* - $14.95 for server transfer and store credit = $.04 monthly sub fee.
3 months: $41.85* (equivalent to $13.95 per month) - $14.95 for server transfer and store credit = NCSoft paying us $1.00 to be a VIP
6 months: $77.70* (equivalent to $12.95 per month) - $14.95 for server transfer and store credit = NCSoft paying us $2.00 to be a VIP
12 months: $143.40* (equivalent to $11.95 per month) - $14.95 for server transfer and store credit = NCSoft paying us $3.00 to be a VIP

My god we are so getting screwed. Do the devs really think we are just going to allow them to pay us to play this game?

Yeah it's true! The third degree burns were all faked. The hospital doctors and nurses where she was treated were all in on it. They all lied about the severity of her injuries and the skin graft was never actually done. It was all a huge conspiracy designed to get back at McDonalds because they stopped selling McRibs at that restaurant.

Hey if that's how they run their SG's I say more power to them and I hope it works out without any conflict.

But that's an internal matter worked out between players.

Simple. In this scenario they can't hold onto a token. It's a service that has to be used when it is bought.

If it's done as a token why wouldn't a player be able to carry an unused token? We can carry respec tokens, costume change tokens, etc. As long as it can only be used if the person is flagged as a Super Leader who cares.

When I read some of the complaints being made and the bizarre logic used to justify them I was reminded of this website.

Do you like random SG members adding crap to the base you spent hours designing so it looks just right?

There's two solutions to the SG rename token problem you are describing.

1. The token can't be used unless the player is flagged as being the SG Leader in an SG.

2. The token can only be bought by an SG Leader. They could add a button somewhere in the SG management screens (Buy SG Rename Token)

The same can be said about the vet rewards that give players access to

Arachnos/Longbow Flyers

Which are solely for base decorations.


Don't get me wrong tho I agree that it's a lousy vet reward, just pointing out that there's precedence.

Are you aware that you can create a character on the VIP server, give it the name you want, and NOT play it. You can do that 12 times. 48 times if your willing to buy the extra slots.

It's all in the contract before you sign and agree to it.

You are paying for access to the package, not specific channels.

Yep happens all the time. That's why they sell packages of channels. The channels available in the packages change from time to time, they even drop channels or pick up new channels.
