FINALLY got home!!! Would you believe I left Brighton at about 4:50, and I've been home 20 minutes? BLEEPING TRAFFIC! :<

Anyway, I had an absolutely FABULOUS time! Everyone was really great and we all had an excellent time and a good laugh! As Z said, she was nearly didn't come to the restaurant with us, much to all our quite understanding dissapointement, but as we got I outside I just happened to look left and.. Wham! She was there! So I was like.. "uh.. Guys... turn around!" Followed by LOTS of yays and a "damn the panic attack, I'm coming anyway" from Ellen!!

The meal was lovely, my first time with Japanese food and chopsticks. AS max said, that aubergine thing.. well... It's a good job the lighting was low or most of us wouldn't have touched it! Tasted nice, but it definately looked like something you'd find floating in a jar in Frankensteins lab!

I'm sure everyone else in the restaurant thought we were total nutters though, as we weren't keeping our conversations about GG terribly quiet

Come Sunday we met up and had a terribly unhealthy English breakfasy (YUM!), then back to the Expo. Queued for an hour and half to get Ghosts picture of Grav Mistress done, then queued for another 2.5 hours only to get right at the front of the queue again when they stopped!!! I'm SOOOO sorry CatKeeper! I tried, and I've got the flat feet to prove it! But, as you'll all find our Monday or Tuesday, all is not lost!!!

Well last night & yesterday were lots of fun!!

We all had a great time and had a nice chat & some great food! Also met GhostWidow, Rockjaw, Bridger & lots of others including Shadowhunta!

Lunch with everyone today, then back into the expo to get some more pics done (Miss Ellie's looks AWESOME !!! I shall scan it and show you!)

Well... the okayodon sounds safe enough... Chicken omelette basically... But the gyudon... I checked.. it's not just a soy sauce the beef is in... It's SAKE and soy sauce!

I might avoid the sushi though.. I despise tuna and salmon... Depends on what it looks like I guess...

Along with this, I think it would be a good idea for SG members in their own base to be able to right click non-members and evict them from the base With no re-entry for a time... Same applies to team mates given entry by the team leader.

Just think... Having a nice RP session and some coalition member wanders in, interrupting whatever it is your doing.

Right click, evict from base, don't let the door hit you on the backside on your way out!

Of course, you can temp disable coalition entry and re-enable it later... But it's quite possible you're waiting for other people in the coalition to turn up and join in...

Though I'll have trouble forgetting the "Kiyarii's soul is trapped in a ghost bus for eternity' bit from the other day for a wee while...

Oh last night... All those kids zooming around GG and some of the comments... Be awhile before I forget them... Traumatised the hell out of poor Miss Ellie!!!

Ah.. I'd forgotten about the drinking bit... I'm staying at my sisters in Worthing so won't be able to partake of more than a single drink of something mild...

Hmm... Chopsticks... Well, if someone can show me how, I'll have a go...

Well... As I said, I'll give anything a go at least once! I'm easy where we go... I can squeeze 4 other people in my car, and with Niall and Stefs big motor, I don't think distance from the Expo will be a problem...

The Teppenyaki sounds interesting, but if it's that noisy... Well... We don't want to hinder conversation to we?

One thing I do ask about MoshiMoshi... It's it decent english cutlery, or have I got to figure out how to eat with a couple of sticks?

Is it proper sized tables and chairs, or near sitting on the floor? If it's the floor, I'd better bring my A frame and hoist...

We've been asking them to make THOSE options available since arena's were first rumoured!!!

We won't get either, so we have no choice but to make do with what little there IS...

I wouldn't say perfect, but usable at least...

Maybe, but it's the only recourse we have. Maybe, if they end up getting enough petitions for this kind of thing, they MIGHT just consider giving us an RP zone... Very unlikely though.

Note: That is NOT an invite to freely bother us.

So, to aim back at the original topic. There are NO safe places where heroes and villains can RP in an environment where not only can they attack each other should the RP call for it, but are also safe from the rest of the general PvP population, and I doubt there ever will be.

We would need a zone that:

1) Gives no xp, debt, inf OR PvP rewards like reputation or bounty
2) Gives out free awakens that can only be used in that zone
3) Has no PvE mobs
4) Has plenty of differing architectures so we can simulate PvE areas of Paragon City.

Essentially, something like the arena, but with selectable environments that can be entered and exited at any time and have no time limits or other things that can end the session.

And whilst we're asking the impossible, how about some RP friendly emotes like laying down, sitting in chairs properly, being able to touch other's toons without that stupid 2-3 foot exclusion zone around them, and a hit box that's NOT situated 2 foot in front of your toon! Oh, and a roleplayers chat channel like Local.

Killing someone during a fight is fine. Killing someone who was, as you put it, standing still (possibly roleplaying and typing something at the time) is naming YOURSELF a ganker...

If you're sick of it, there's a simple solution... Don't do it. Fly/SJ/SS/TP past and pick on someone who's fighting...

EDIT: Here's a thought for you. Do as you will, attack us all you want. On the first attack we will send you a tell asking you politely to stop. Should you choose to ignore us, we can then happily petition you and let the GM's sort it out.

By 'you' I mean ANYONE who chooses to do it, not just you personally.

I would say that part of the definition fits perfectly with interrupting what other players are doing just for a cheap kill.

The game may let you do it, it may not even be percieved as griefing by anyone official, but the words 'dishonourable tactic' fit perfectly, in much the same way TPing someone into a drone to get them debt is.

Do what you will, but remember you build your reputation by your own actions. Me, I'm quite happy knowing I'm not deliberately ruining the way other people want enjoy the game.

For myself, I'm running a duo with another player completely IC only, but their personalities and goals don't really gel with a meeting of villains...

I do believe this particular shoe does, in fact, fit.

You're very unlikely to find me in PvP zones anyway, but my comment was aimed at anyone attacking my toon, not just yourself in particular; at least, that wasn't the intent even though I admit my wording could have been better.

And it's not POSSIBLE for us to do it anywhere else. Arena's are next to useless because of the random locations, in each others bases we can't actually attack each other, and in PvP zones we've no way of asking others to leave us alone except chat.

However, I do NOT get involved in others altercations when I am in PvP zones. I see a fight, or several toons together, I keep away unless invited, or attacked. Butting in is just plain rude, unfortunately rudeness and poor manners are merely encouraged by the very idea of PvP. Just look at things like Counterstrike; the very height of dreadful social skills...

Do you think we've not asked? Hell, we've been begging for it since CoV was first announced! But as RPers, we get nothing to help us out. Nothing, zip, nada, zilch. The only people around here who get anything lately are the bloody PvPers...

But feel free to try to attack Miss Ellie should you see her, she's more than high enough level for the PvP zones to turn any would be ganker into paté before they're fired off their second shot.

My Miss Ellie character does fine, not that her hero identity is much of secret seeing as she's both part cat, and Kheldian, and glows all the time!

She manages a (not so) private life in conjunction with her life as the hero Tiger White reasonably well, though the two get muddied together fairly often!

Like I said, I can't be missed as I tend to fit my nick fairly well But there may well be similarly built people at such an event as a comic expo!!

However, we really should come up with something or other so we CAN recognise each other...

If Ellen's got her hair blue by then, I'll likely spot her, and if that pic on your messenger is you, then I should hopefully recognize you...

Maybe we should just all arrange to meet at the NCSoft stand at a certain time? We're bound to notice each other then... I seem to recall Jedi saying he's rather tall..
