Ah.. that might help.. but you still need to switch when posting in multiple channels, such as local and a couple of GC channels... I use /send which is quicker than fiddling with the mouse... long channel names are a pain!

Unfortunately, switching tabs like that doesn't alter the destination of the input box.

It's either right click and select the one you want, or use the /send feature as far as I can tell.. Unless someone can find a bind which will change the chat destination for you...

A good idea. I'd like point a couple of things out though.

If people are going to use the "/send channelname" command, long channel names are a pain in the bum!

The Galaxy Girl roleplayers already have an Out Of Character channel, called GGOOC. Feel free to join if you visit GG! This channel is for ALL OOC stuff at GG only. All other discussion at GG will now be IC as much as is possible (Barring spelling corrections!)

Hey guys. Now we have our OOC channel, I'm thinking it might be an idea to actually moderate it a little too, so it doesn't get out of hand?

First, the mods. Currently there are 4, ShadowGhost, Doc T, Zortel and myself. I have no issue with there being more but I suggest we try to keep it to responsible players who are in-game the most. What do you guys think?

Mods have several abilities, including silencing someone (so they can't talk in the channel, but still read it), or kicking them from the channel completely. Now obviously we do NOT want to do this unless we have no choice, but do we think up some guidelines to help us, or use leave it to mod discretion?

For myself, I would suggest things like:

1) Personal attacks against another player
2) Godmodding
3) Excessive use of bad language
4) Adult related material

To be unwanted in the channel, and as consequences, I'm thinking...

First offense, a request to stop
Second offense, an evening silenced
Third offense, kicked from the channel
Extreme cases could include petitioning also...

Any guidelines we come up with should also apply to the mods, with them losing mod status included!!

What do you guys think? I'm fully expecting and hoping we never have to moderate the channel as it should be a nice happy place, but as it's a public channel available over all the servers (and should remain so), we also don't want it turning into a hellhole...

So, an idea worth exploring maybe? Or should I just shush?

I think the problem you've got their Wordy is that, to REALLY play a jerk well, you need to BE a jerk, and you're not...

I know my Ellie has, even whilst her own problems were at what seemed to be their worst, she still noticed him sulking and chatted to him. And he's getting a date with Velvet... Before too long he might be a nice guy!

And I think Al works really well too! He's a jerk, but he's also slowly coming around after several people have started trying to talk TO him instead of AT him...

I'd never ask for insider information... (But won't refuse PM's!! )

But I can't wait to see how they get out of it!!

Oh it's not the sheer amount of damage we can do... Other AT's can outdamage us at even level...

It's that with enough end, we don't have to stop for a breather at all as we can shift forms and use those attacks whilst the others recharge, and every attack has huge flashy lights and things. It'd probably make video cards cry for mercy with just a single team of 8...

Still... Massed teams of Kheldians... The rest of you WOULD have bugger all to do! Just stick a buffer in each team with appropriate end boosting buffs, and get the hell out of the way! Triforms with no end worry = zero power cycle downtime and non-stop carnage! I've made the occasional person stand there gobsmacked doing that before...

Or a team of 8 triform PB's and WS's... Then the rest of you can kick back and watch all the pretty lights...

Just to stick my oar in... Don't forget, Kheldians are naturally resistant to energy damage!

Yep, that's right. You subscribe to the channel and as long as their's 1 subscriber, the channel will persist. Being online is not necessary!

Remember though, when you login, your chat handle will be the name of the toon you login with. This can be changed ONCE, so decide what one you want carefully!!

As for the eyes... I'm guessing Wordy & Jennybear are there by now so you've probably broken out the wine already!!!

I haven't seen anything about a winner for October...

A lot of the mechanics I ignore...

XP I disregard, inf I treat as money, prestige I disregard...

Levelling I also ignore to an extent, though a new power choice I try to show as Ellie's abilties growing stronger over time.

Enhancements I also disregard for RP, but inspirations I treat as 'pick me up' type pills (so all heroes are junkies!!). Ellie's even accidentally mixed some together after getting KO'd by a rather large CoT behemoth, mixing a large CAB, a large Respite and some Glittershrooms to make what she called a 'Turbo'! (Cue large awaken, large CAB, large Respite, large Rage and a large Breakfree, add buildup and essence boost to that - and a splattered purple behemoth boss!! )

Exemping and SKing I see as just teaming with your friends, no increase or decrease of powers.

Respecs... I tend to see them as I've still got the powers I dropped (RP wise), and the new ones just a general increase of ability.

I tend to ignore game time for the most part too, and use realtime, but a lot of RPers do that, and of course - roleplaying is all about fabrication!!

Some of the game backstory I use, some I bend, and some I smash to smithereens!!
