Not even sure the chord progression is right. I know there's a video and I'm pretty sure it's of fairly recent vintage. I have this vague impression of it being about rebellious elderly folks possibly driving around in the desert... and in my head it sounds kinda like The Wallflowers, but with a little more punch.
Someday I'll hear it again. In the meantime I've scoured various Top 100 lists ranging from 2008-2010 and so far have found nothing. -
Okay, I've had some song or other stuck in my head for over a week now, but I have no idea what it is, who it's by, or anything at all about it except for this part, which I think is the chorus, and which may be entirely wrong:

It's not particularly difficult to imagine a time in the not too distant future when mentioning a certain comic book company and/or their signature characters might become a big no no here.
