Quote:This.I'm going to CO. It's not City of Heroes. So it's not perfect, but it's better than playing a ******* fantasy game. So until a Mass Effect MMO comes along, or the playerbase does what the community of Earth & Beyond did(reverse engineer the entire game with new code or whatever) and restarts City, I'll be on there.
It's not City. But I'm not hating it, this time around. Might have to do with the vast improvements they've made since the last time I played, might have to do with a lot of my friends moving over. Either way, CO it is, for now. -
Saturn Spirit, Divine Maiden aka @Playful ... just fun people!

Yeah, I must admit I'm quite irritated myself [My day off work]. However, I'm hopeful this will actually 'clean' somethings.
First the store down for a whole day, now this. -
Quote:Where have you been all my life?Ok. holy hell. I just spent the last 30 mins. reading this thread from like page 10 to the final, and the only thing I learned was that there are definitely ALOT of whiney lil ******* that play this game. First... if you feel the need to RP a action upon another character, why don't you just send them a damn tell saying "hey, my char. is about to attack your char. in suchnsuch manner. Get ready or tell me no." BOOM... whole problem solved
As for the (()) issue... who really cares? Thats like me complaining about how a person clicks their tongue every other word when talking. Its just something they do... it DOES NOT hurt me so why should I worry about it. A few of you should really stop trying to control the environment your in and start learning to adapt to another's playstyle. Either that or stick to single player games.
Now for the dreaded subject of ERP.. again.. who cares... some people do it, some people don't. Some people find it fun.. some people find it stupid, or even digusting. Again.. who cares.. again stop trying to control and learn to adapt. If you don't want to do something.. DONT DO IT. But NO ONE has the right to judge another person based on how they enjoy their playtime in CoX. I'm so tired of reading the forums to get usefull information and only finding people name calling, trying to one up the other guy, or being completely judgemental... so here's my monthly rant.
Oh... and I just know someone is going to have something to say in response.. and I look forward to reading your posts. But please.. don't kid yourself.. I don't know you in RL.. therefore your opinion means as much to me as a bucket of birdshit. For those of you out there that like to just relax and enjoy playing the game we all love.. look me up in game sometime.. we'll kill some ****. -
Okay.
As for Pocket D:
I feel that a fight is not always wrong here. The only reason I would think it is not necessary, is if it gets out of hand. Like if an energy blaster decides he is going to blow holes in walls and destroy the bar. Now, fist fights... I can see.
Level into account:
Okay, this is a biggie. The only time someone should take level into account is when the low level is irritating, rude, and picks a fight. I do feel level 1 'toons' should not be overly aggressive. This is why as I get higher in level, most of my 'toons' age or mature.
Now, if the big 'ol level 50 incarnate picks on a puny level one 'toon'... well, then that's meta-gaming. Not tolerated in my book.
Powers non-existent: Okay, it really irritates me when people don't use their imagination. ITS CALLED ROLE-PLAYING! If someone wants to visualize their 'toon' ice-sliding or something, why can't you? The only things I don't agree with are extreme powers, i.e. God-modding powers.
Powers, again:
If someone is resistant to mind powers, I would want a legit reason instead of "He/She locks her thoughts through sheer willpower-- blah, blah, blah."
Same for seeing through stealth, I would need a legit reason. Or I will call shenanigans.
The End. -
OOC: This is about my newest and most intriguing villain Pharaoh Pain and his induction to ERA [which will come later]. I took bits and pieces of ideas from the Book of Exodus [Bible]; Moses. Bear with me as this is my first time posting my work on the CoH forums. Hope you like it, and feedback is always welcomed.

Part I: A Life Spared
Over 3,000 years ago...
Northern Africa
The king of his people, the Ukunza, sat outside his grand hut eagerly awaiting the arrival of his first son. The queen screamed in pain, the veins in her head began to show as she pushed for the child to come out. Finally, the prince had arrived. The king ran inside as soon as he was notified of his child’s arrival. The crying baby boy wrapped in cloth was soon comforted by the embrace of his father.
“I will name him Emal.” The king said as he smiled and cradled his son. Emal in Ukunza meant “strong willed”. A scribe by the name of Ujin began to record the information of the Princes’ birth on a stone tablet. However, he did not use a tool to etch into the stone. He used ancient magic inherited by the Ukunza people and passed down for generations. Suddenly, a knock was heard at the grand hut opening. It was the messenger for the council of the Ukunza.
“The council needs to speak with you, my highness.”
The king turned around in great distaste for their timing. He turned back to his son, and stared at his newborn face. The messenger placed his hand on the kings’ shoulder, signifying him to make it quick. The king sighed and passed the baby boy to the shaman. His pace towards the council chambers was obviously filled with frustration. Upon entering the chambers he watched as the council silenced their whispers. The chamber built to where the council looks down upon who they are meeting with. Their chairs were made of gold and steps to them of marble. The center floor had a spiral-like mix of marble and gold.
“You have chosen a very good time.” The king said with sarcasm in his tone.
The lead councilman raised out of his chair. “It is about the pr—. “
The king stomped the ground and his raised his voice.“My son? On the day of his arrival, you want to speak of this?”
“We have to Unza. Your son may be the protector we’ve longed awaited. We are a pacifist race. We have no weapons of war, nor even use our knowledge of magic to fight. With this one protector, we can finally stop evading the other northern factions.”
“My son will not be used as a tool.” The king scolded.
“But we may peri—. “
“I said no! This session is OVER!” The council jumped back as the king raised his voice. They began to whisper once more. The lead councilman silenced them with a sound and a wave of his finger.
“This will be our downfall… your majesty.”
The king looks up at the council members, eyeing each of them. His eyes show doubt, but his heart filled with confidence in his people. Or maybe it is just his stubbornness.
“I am finished. My son will not be used as a tool. I will not stand and watch as my son fights the enemy as we all sit back and watch as if he were attached to strings. Farewell.”
The council began to whisper again as the king walks off. -
I may actually play redside now... Evil Reign Arrives :P
