I have the victoria 3 model (was a content paradise freebie). Still not getting her eyelashes or eyebrows to render for some odd reason.

Sounds like you might be missing a texture or bump map. I think Vic 3 comes with a set of MATs. Did you try applying one of those? If you did a standard install they should be in the Poses section of Poser. Just apply one to your Victoria model like you would a pose. -
This one : "Panel One: Comic Book Scripts by Top Writers" shows original comic book scripts and the different styles of the featured writers.
This DC one : "The Dc Comics Guide to Writing Comics" is good for story-telling basics in comics.
These are the only two I've read but there are links to others on the amazon.com pages. -

I got the free version of Poser5 and that works pretty well, but I can't figure out how to get clothes off of the stupid mode
[/ QUOTE ]
You have to start with a clothingless model, for one. There should be a few available standard with the program. You can also set genitalia on/off in the menu, depending on whether you need full detail, or if Barbie/Ken will do...
Also: bums are poor models. They generally leave a bit to be desired, and more than a few weird stains.
*edit* Yarr, avast!

I've loaded the clothingless model but whenever I do it puts clothes on the poor guy
And DB, I'd be forever in your debt if you'd forward me any useful linkies you get!! That anatomia one is a pain to wade through, but it's got some great stuff!
[/ QUOTE ]
Have you tried deleting the default clothed model that is loaded at start-up and then inserting a new nude model from the palette? -
Wow, that's coming along nicely. Even though it's the same pose, now that she's closer to the camera I think it looks much more dynamic.

Also, the chest is at the default position for the model, don't know that I've ever seen anyone comment on the Vicky 3 chest being too low before. I don't think it looks quite as off as it did at the original angle, but maybe that's just my desire not to have to find a way to 'fix' that talking. Does everyone still think the placement is too low with this view?
[/ QUOTE ]
I think her chest is fine; it may look low in comparison to the in-game models' "heroic" physique. I do agree that twisting her torso at the waist slightly might give it that extra "oomph" though.
Now you just need a villain on the other side of the picture to catch that fireball! -

2. The right hand side of the image seems very empty. I could perhaps move the SUV from the alley to the road, but I think that would be too much. I also think more people in the background would be overkill. For those with a better eye for composition, would perhaps something like just putting graffiti on the rolling metal doors do the trick?
[/ QUOTE ]
You might want to consider reframing the shot so that she is running down the street in front of the CoH-themed shops and tightening up on her specifically so she occupies more of the scene. All the detail you have in the background is really neat, but all of it together seems to be overpowering the focus (Ruby) of your picture.
I look forward to seeing more of this picture! -

I would love for that to be a power.
[/ QUOTE ]
Maybe its code for a new powerset that hasn't gone live yet or maybe a powerset that was eliminated from the game but the code was left in. From what I can see from the screenshots he scaled up pretty cleanly. -
Hey, I recognize that name! Reiq has a couple of pictures in the gallery section of the August issue of ImagineFX magazine. Too cool

You know, when I opened up that link I laughed aloud with delight. Not because it's an amazing piece of work (although it is) and not because of the quick turn around time (also amazing) but because of the spirit of generosity it represents. It proves that old MMO truism once again that -- in the end -- it's not just the game it's the people. I love this forum! -
That's odd, did they specify why they cancelled your order (i.e., content vs. copyright)? Looking at their (Zazzle's) user agreement it looks like you comply with paragraph 3c)"lawful right to reproduce". Maybe it's the "and distribute" part of that sentence?

IANAL but I think making a T-Shirt with your hero is ok under the acceptable usage clause of the EULA as long as you are not making money off of it (see the second and last paragraph in link). So making the t-shirt is OK, but selling it to someone is not.

Just as a follow-up to the discussions of hard work being essential if you intend to master your craft - no matter what that may be - here is an article and illustrative diagram entitled, "How to be an Expert". It talks about the same things we're talking about here and how you have to push yourself constantly if you want to grow beyond your current level. The article isn't too long and it certainly inspired me to pick up my pencil and pad again
'Course the downside is, to push myself that means a lot of pages of @$*#* hands

Ah Timer, you freakish little sentient lemon! I remember getting in trouble for implementing his brilliant "stacks of snacks" gambit (the ice tray tipped over and made a mess)
Also:
- You remember going to see the first nightmarish Lord of the Rings movie that ended in the middle of the story and thought it was cool and sucked all at the same time.
- Can remember the follow-up Return of the King cartoon (and now have that "Frodo of the Nine-Fingers" song stuck in my head )
- Almost hung yourself at age 8 when your cape/towel got hung up on the fence
- Took the live-action Batman show totally seriously - almost as much as the original Star Trek show.
- Lost all of your D&D stuff to the early 80's "D&D is satanic" hysteria(I saw a ratty 1st ed MM going for $120 on e-bay last summer -- man I kept mine so pristine
)
- Coveted your brother's ginormous Space1999 Eagle space ship that he got for Christmas ( I think it was almost 3 ft long!)
