  1. I really appreciate the feedback, but I think you missed the part where I said I have one build for grouping and another build for soloing, but still you made a lot of good points and have given me things to think about.

I hate the look of stone cages and find that I don't use it very often as they seem to get in the way, and prefer salt crystals to cages. Again this is for when I'm soloing and I wouldn't use salt crystal while grouping. I slotted some of the powers for damage because it will help kill faster solo.
  2. I tend to fight alongside with the pet. I use the controls depending on the size of the spawn. So I guess the goal is to be able to run tips or radios or what have you when groups aren't available and I want to be able to it somewhat quickly.

the way I do it now (lvl 41) After I buff the walking poop and let him attack i have sands of mu, air sup, boxing, Fossilize and nemmy staff for offensive. If it is a smaller group I use fossil and salt if its a bit bigger i go fossil, eq, and qs and for boss mobs, avs and such I use the gas. I'll get ball lightning soon so that might keep back a bit, but the scrapper in me won't let me sit back and let the pet do all the work

I'm not sold on this build just trying to get an idea of how to slot and what ench are more useful. I do want to get some resist against holds, sleeps, stuns ......
  3. Getting close to 50 and wanted to get an idea if I am on the right track. This is the build for when I am solo so not much for the healing and buffing. Have another build for groups that I will work on later.

Use this as a starting point:

This build has more recharge, better recovery, better defense, better resistance, double assault and more than double the global damage buff, and really only gives up hasten (not important when your longest attack cooldown is 20 seconds), an underslotted pet and one of the worst AOE powers around.
Thanks for posting that build, but I have a few questions/comments.
Purples are out of question. I don't think the bonuses are worth the effort they take get, and really don't see how you would purple web cocoon. I just doesn't seem like its useful enough.

You don't have placate or poisonous ray and those are two powers I use all the time.

And I don't think that build fits the play style or what I consider the Banes to be about. You went hard at building up the defense, which will give me some ideas for improvement, but I don't see the need to go all out for defense since I look at the Bane as a hit hard and kill fast type of character rather then a tank a whole room at once type of character.
  6. I mostly solo and I haven't finished getting all the ench but this is the goal

  7. 'm trying to figure out how this ench works since it gives a bonus to end and is not a heal. Does it work with fast healing or health ? How does people slot this ?
  8. Where do i find the Geometry Buffers ?
  9. This might be a bit OT, but I have been trying to find a way to add more defense to my dm/reg and it sounds like I should just add more regen. Should I forget tough/weave and use those slots for FH and Health ?

    I NEED MORE SLOTS !!!!

DM/Regen was my first Scrapper as well, and there have been a lot of adjustments to the how i play the set. Right now it seems like I use the regen toggles much more often than I used to, but it is still a fun set to play. Some DM powers that seemed gimped in the past are now main features of the set. The biggest weakness I see with dm/regen now finding good defensive powers to off set the regen.
  11. I would love to get toggle IH back for regen. It was so wonderful.
  12. With the up coming change in issue 19 with fitness becoming inherited powers I was wondering what to do with the reg and wp scrappers.

Is it better to 3 slot each, 6 slot one and 3 slot the other, or 6 slot both ?

Can you skip QR and just use stamina ?

Which is the better overall power ?
  13. Respeccing is a bit of a pain, but I'm looking at this as a chance to refine and try some new things. I'm pretty sure I have fitness on all of may characters, so 3 new powers to play with will be fun. Some of the builds I have are pretty old and variety is the spice of Paragon City

    I19

I can't find any notes but I have heard from someone in the game that for I19 that fitness will be automatic powers. I wanted to do a respec but but I wasn't sure if it was worth it to wait for I19.

Is it true we will be getting fitness and is there any timetable on when the update will be ready ?

    DM/Reg Build

I haven't played this scrapper much and its a older build but I was wondering if it would still be good for farming.

I'll see how the build goes and if I can fit DN in I will take it, but I won't try and force it in. Thanks for that very detailed and informative break down. Gives me something to think about.
  17. Thanks for all the input very helpful. I was thinking the same way most of you were, and will go for fighting.
  18. I have a lvl 30s db/wp brute and I am trying to decide if the epic pool was better than going for more defense with tough and weave. I solo most of the time and want to make sure I am set up to survive elite and heroes. I don't have to win every time, but I don't want to lose every time. I probably won't pvp much so that is not as important.

    DM/Reg Build

I'm trying to do an inexpensive build and I came up with this. Let me know what you think

  20. Sure but when I say hey what should I do, hearing you shouldn't have a problem isn't helpful.

I get that you guys know about the sets and everthing but dismissing people because they aren't into max/min they way you guys are doesn't help.

It was a simple question. What can wp do to off set extra damage that bosses do, and what I got was how could you have a problem with a boss.

    whatever its just a game.

It sounds like a respec will be needed soon, but I just went with my old standard of get stamina as quick as possible, but other then that I had no plan or build in mind. I just noticed as I fight more bosses that their alphas tear into my little wp scrapper.

Sounds like you need to actually check to see what powers your secondary actually has before you start defaulting to basic strategies. QR is bigger than Stamina. RttC is retardedly awesome (just like every scrapper level 16 power). People really need to actually learn the power sets.

But some people want to just play and figure it out as the go. I'm regretting that I asked.

  23. I took a look and I do have it, but I did go for Stamina first, so it isn't slotted up yet.

But it sounds like the only thing that can help wp with the alpha strikes and such is to use purples
